umts signal strength problem after flashing a qtek9000

hi everybody!
i have a big problem with my principal's qtek9000.
maybe you can help me finding a solution.
after i upgraded the latest official qtek italian rom in september 2006, umts signal strenght became very poor, sometimes inexistent.
gsm signal strength was right.
i tried flashing various radio module versions, from 1.03 to 1.13, but unsuccessfully. also i tried some full rom flashing (rom,extrom,radio).
signal strength never changed. always poor.
we sent it to qtek assistance.
after a month, it came back.
assistance said that antenna was "repositioned".
there was the same latest official qtek rom version.
umts signal was good, but not so good like before flashing rom.
but it worked.
so my principal told me to flash it to try to improve signal strength.
yesterday i upgraded only the radio module from 1.09 to 1.13, without rom and extended rom, and it happened again...
umts signal strength now is poor, on inexistent, only gsm signal.
so i don't think it's an hardware problem, but a software problem.
i tried with different SIM from different operators.
when i boot up phone, initially signal strength is 4/4 level (we are very close to BTS), after 10 seconds it breaks down to 2/4 level, then the maximum strength is always 2/4 when we are close to the BTS. no more. often umts signal disappear and i have only gsm signal (with 4/4 level!).
i have an imate jasjar, and i flash it almost 2/3 times a month , i like trying new unofficial roms so i don't have problems flashing it, and i never had signal strength problems after rom i flashed my jasjar.
far from it! with every new radio module signal strength increased.
my principal bought its qtek9000 in december2005, i bought my jasjar on august2006.
i don't know what to do. i'm in despair.
can you help me trying to understand where's the problem with that f***ing qtek?
or i have to send it again for another month to assistance.
i think i will do it again, but i want to understand what is the problem, because i think it's surely a software problem, and not an hardware or antenna problem, that can be solved with some kind of flashing or something else.

[Q] Problems with WiFi

So recently my friend had spilt Coca Cola on my phone, and, a few days, my WiFi became very weak and extremely hard to keep. After fidling around with ROMs for a while I found that certain ROMs were able to hold the signal better than others, but then when going back to others it was back to weak even though my 3G works really well. Is there any fix for this? Would opening up the phone and cleaning the inside possibly fix my issues? Isn't the 3G and WiFi modules located in the same area (just wondering why the 3G isn't messed up but WiFi is)?

i have problem with Phone coverage in g3
in a place that signal is weak my phone lost signal but another phone have signal
and the big problem that have it .when i change my place and signal is very power my phone lg g3 not find signal and still have not signal
and i have to restart phone that find signal
please give me solution
my phone is root
and i try all of the rom orginal and custom rom
my freind that have lg g3 32gb have same problem
is there any solution ????

@ mobile reception: we could only wait and hope LG will update modem firmware anytime to solve bad reception.
at worst it could maybe be a bad hardware design, so it is possible we will never get better reception.
i`m in the same boat. sometimes i think about switching to another device because i`m always the first with no (data) reception when i`m out with friends.

Same for me. On the same network, my Oppo Find 5 is way more reliable. I hope a better modem will be released soon (probably with Android L in December?).

And i'm thinking that i'm the only one... For me reception is worst than 100 dollars smartphones and is very unstable. Sometimes have full coverage and, without leave the same place, the reception goes to 1 network bar... Very disappointed. Love this phone but hate (a lot) signal reception.

So all the G3s are like that?

my reception is also weak compared to other mobiles. at the end of the day i check the batery status and have ~4% good signal ~10% moderate signal and 86% weak or unknown signal. and i think that a huge battery drain

Same here, but from what a knowledgeable tech guy who has experience developing for LG is that all of their devices handle data strength the same. Speed is not compromised for me at all and I never loose connection.

[Q] Network issues with SGH-T999

Hello there , I hope everyone is enjoying their holidays..
Need help , i have sgh-t999 which came from USA, its unlocked but i have signals issues, whenever i enter my home, the signals are gone, but signals are fine when I'm outdoor. I have tried flashing different modems from doc's thread , but the problem is still there. I m running on the ENC2 firmware, which is the latest one. I have also tried to change different carriers.
I think sgh-t999 antenna is not strong enough to catch signals in congested areas. Tell me your thoughts , or suggest me something.

[Q] d686 Signal Issue

I have purchase d686 from online store but i have serious signal reception issues with this mobile.
1- In outdoor Network reception is around 5-10 dbm less than other mobiles. But the real problem comes when i am in low signal areas. This phone will disconnect all of sudden after -95dbm. while other mobiles are still locked to network.
2- The wifi reception is poor as compared to other phones
I want to know if this problem is related to hardware or software.
Also if you guys can suggest some solution to this problem from your experience it will be very helpful.
Note: I have reflashed stock kitkat roms by lg flash tool but there is no change in situation.
