Has anyone had any problems with various setting screens crashing? If I go to settings and then apps and try to scroll to find an app to move to the storage the app crashes everytime without fail before I can find the app I want to move. Any help greatly appreciated.
I've had two of these phones and never experienced such an issue. Maybe try rebooting?

Thanks everyone. I realized it was freezing every time I scrolled past a specific app. I went to go remove it and the package installer would freeze too so I knew I had the right culprit. I got around the package issue by uninstalling through the play store and everything is fine now. Thanks... Checking Moto file manager now

Click on apps. It will show most of the apks on your phone and whether they're installed or not. If you hold one you can copy and paste it to and from the internal/external sd. You have to make sure install from unknown sources is checked as well as force allow apps on external under dev settings.

Also, my SD card can't be formatted as internal storage... Just removable. Can you guys check yours also? Is this Moto thing or an issue with how I set it up to begin with? I remember being given an option at one point but now I can't change it back. Amy suggestions here?

My Moto E had the option. My memory card is formatted to extend my M9. I might go buy a 64 or 128 this weekend and try to format it as internal. I'll report back if my Sprint Z2 can format as internal.
Edit: tried myself and there was no option like on my Moto E and M9 to extend internal storage to SD card. The Moto E has the last release of CM and the HTC has Viper rom, so they are running different roms than stock, that might be why my Moto E allows it over the Z2

Just tried it on codename and yeah it's not working at all.
any thoughts as to how to make it work? or any other alternatives, just as good?
I have not find anything better than "Hide it PRO" yet... its not working appropriately on ICS and is frequently crashing, sent couple of taps to Developer and no response yet..
I hope developer fix the issue soon or some one find the equivalent app quickly...
I hope so too because I have ALOT of porn in my gallery all of a sudden.
Huh, I just tried it and it worked for me. I'm running Blue Kuben with FF11 Modem and kernel. I don't believe I'm running the paid version if that makes a difference. I can't think of any reasons why it would work for me and not others. I've never had any issues with Audio Manager and have run all ICS ROMS.
I'm open to any questions, If I can help any.

Also sorry pdaddy but I'm mobile right now so I can't post a link.

You need to search for your old archive on your internal or sd card and it should work fine I've been using this on my hero EVO and e4gt on ics and gb roms no problem just transferred the archive to new phone and searched for it. If you don't know where the folder is its under programdata/Android/language/.fr/

Just got an SIII w/ ICS and I can get it to hide apps but not launch them from hidden and then can't unhide those apps without uninstalling and reinstalling them. More of a problem for me is that the lock apps function doesn't work. That's what I used all of the time to just lock my other mail, etc. apps so that they would error out.
Bumperooni...
Bumperooni... anyone found a work-around or a fix?
Any word fron Anju on if he is going to port Hide it to ICS?
The program Hide it pro or Audio Manager does not work on ICS. I just upgraded to a S3 and I have had nothing but problems with the program. Is the developer (Anuj Tenani) ever on this forum? Is there going to be any update to the program for ICS? Any information would be appreciated!

This great program must just have issues with ICS. I tried it on my E4GT in every ics ROM and it is horrible. Didn't launch apps and had to uninstall and reinstall. Time to let Devs know. Seems like they don't update this so often at all
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA
... just a guess but I'm sure that it has something to do with the fact that the internal "sdcard" and the external. er... "extsdcard" are handled differently with the S3 on ICS and that there is no app2sd function on the S3. I was able to get the GLtoSD app to transfer a couple of my apps to the extsdcard, but Hide It Pro still wouldn't lock or hide those apps after the move... so there are also other issues.

Repeatedly saying '+1' wont get this working guys
We need to get hold of the gallery.apk and see how much it relies on the GS3 framework. It may be able to run as a standalone .apk but I doubt it. It'll probably need porting by someone who knows much more about it than I do

OK. Extracted the gallery apk and tried to install on the HOX and it fails. Have also tried to push to system/app and fix permissions, but that also doesn't work.

I've been having this problem recently where if I play a song in Google music and then navigate away from the now playing page, and then skip to the next song either with the launcher widget or the notification tray widget, the UI in the now playing screen basically doesn't work. It looks like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

The scrubber can't be used and the song information is all blank until you load another song from within the app.

I'd also be interested in knowing what the different/source of this APK is -- care to shed some light:?
Uninstall and reinstall from Play Store... It will sort out any issues.
Following up -- I had uninstalled and reinstalled Play Music with no luck.
In reading the CM boards, I saw a suggestion to disable Apollo -- It worked! (required a reboot to kick in, tho).
I know it's not much help, but I'm running cm-10-20121018 and I'm unable to reproduce the issue, even with Apollo still enabled.

From the app drawer long press the icon for Apollo
Drag it to the "Application Info" section visible on the desktop
I cleared data, and selected 'Disable Application'
After doing this, I found the same behavior, do a reboot to make sure we're on the up & up
Hopefully solved!

It is bizarre. I can access Google Play, find an app, and attempt to download, except that the app never downloads. I get an error 495. I've googled that error and I've cleaned data and cache from Google Play and Google Framework. I've also removed my Google email address from Accounts, cleared it all again, then added my email again. No joy. Seems there are a small number of people with that problem. It's very frustrating with my brand new phone.

Try downloading an app from your browser and not the Play Store app. This has got mine working in the past when nothing else worked.

Sounds like switching Roms might solve that problem. Are you on the stock Rom? Here's the one I'm using, there are only two for now and they are both leaps and bounds better than stock. Additionally, it may be a problem with an older iteration that rom if you are using a custom one

Its your keyboard-app. I bet you are using TouchPal.
It was the same for me. Touchpal is one of the greatest keyboard-apps IMHO, but lately they changed in the wrong direction with unwanted ads like 'Daily Summary' or 'Charging Lock Screen' or 'AppLock'.
I uninstalled it because of that.
Or the ES File Explorer app that recently admitted to presenting Ads in the lock screen.

Yea. This was it. I forgot to update the thread
There was an article at AP a week ago about that

Just curious because I haven't read up on what apps caused this annoying problem but who kept the photo editor app installed?
I liked that app and it really sucks t nuts that I had to uninstall it.
If I remember correctly, there was an option to simply turn off that lock screen adware, right?
But mainly, who kept the app(s) causing this issue? It'd be nice to know if anyone did and if this was a serious issue (which I doubt) or should i have read this entire thread plus the article before posting this?

Try Snapseed, Google acquired it because it was considered the best free photo editing app.
No point using an app that has that lock screen adware. They deserve to be removed from the Play Store for violating the rules of displaying ads outside of their own app.
Didn't Adobe make Lightroom free on Android?
