I had a rooted 8.9 hd rooted with android 4.4.4. I recently upgraded the OS to 5.1.1. Then I tried to load CM-13.1, then 12.1 and had unending popup messages like bluetooth error, playstore error, etc......
I tried to roll back to CM 11.
I still can't get a full boot up even with CM-11.
I can still get into TWRP no problem and even copy files over to it from my PC.
What should I do to get this back? I may have lost root after the 5.1.1 update.
Seems like a constant boot loop no matter which CM I tried.
TIA

Hello everyone,
i have my phone encrypted since some time and never had any problems. i am running cyanogenmod. used all the time just the stable version, no nightlys. yesterday i installed 10.2.1 without any problems. today i got a notification that cm11 snapshot is aviable and wantet to install it. i got an error (Error executing updater binary in zip..) and after that my phone was stuck at the bootlogo. i was able to go back to recovery and could flash 10.2.1 again. but after a few hours i found out that playstore was not working anymore. after playing around it it for a while i decidet its time to do a factory reset and start new.
but after a factory reset now i am stuck at the bootlogo again and get my phone running again.
i tryed to install aokp and got the same error as with the cm11 snapshot
any idea how i could get my phone running again (without loosing the contents of my "SD-Card")?
My Nexus 7 (2013) flo comes with Lollipop 5.0.2. I was trying to downgrade to 4.4.4. I followed the online instruction from google. Basically what I was doing was
1. unlock bootloader
2. flash bootloader and stock image from google, razor 4.4.4 using flashing_all.sh
3. I also tried to flash the bootloader and image manually using fastboot command
Everything worked fine, no error message. However, after flashing, the system stuck at the google logo screen. I tried to enter the recovery mode, and it gives several error messages, such as "unable to mount /cache" etc.
Then I tried to flash back the stock image razor 5.0.2 lollipop using the same method. This time, everything worked. I can boot into the system without trouble.
Is there anyone having any idea what happened? Thank you a lot!
you should use nexus root toolkit to flash rom
I have the same problem, did you fix it?
I posted the same problem on reddit's /r/Nexus7. Someone gave the same reply of using Root toolkit which I tried. Same result, stuck on the Google logo. I'm beginning to think this is a major design flaw for some N7's while others were lucky enough not to have the problem. Currently loading Lollipop back and wishing the wifi drivers would work with it. If I can't get it working by the end of the week I'm sending it back while I still can.
Yesterday my nexus became the update for MM6.01.
After an half hour of updating the device was booting again I get the Android robot wit an open belly and a missind something message?
I tired to reboot with volume and power phused but nothing is happening?
Now I only have a black screen?
How can I bring it back to life?
Thanks and greetings,
Erik.
Use for example nexus root toolkit.
Make wipe in recovery, then flash stock latest 6.0.1.
Thankd for the help,
I will try it!
im on stock 6.0 and my tablet doesn't boot up after the 6.0.1 update install.
its stuck in infinite boot loop.
tired clearing the cache partition from recovery but in vain!
any help?
MMhh can get it to work?
Tried to restore/upgrade/downgrade and choose for oft bricked/bootloop and then select the original 6.01 image but all I am getting is not connected bacuse I am not getting it in the download mode?
It worked!!
After more then ten minutes trying to get in the the bootloader mode it was easy to use the program and the original image from https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#razor it worked fine!
Thanks for the help!
Yes, that is the way I got the OTA on with NRT and it worked. However, if you try to root the device afterwards it fails at the installing SuperSU and BusyBox installs. I can never find the files even though they are on the device.
Hi there, I have the above device with unlocked bootloader. It was rooted but I had a problem where the tablet kept rebooting but only after it loaded Android. No amount of following guides fixed it and Recovery and Fastboot were throwing g up problems whenever I tried to flash anything.
Eventually, I managed somehow to switch it on to Chinese update cycle I think and update the ROM with the latest official Chinese EMUI through multiple reboot loops (it downloaded about 10% of the update each time before crashing and getting the next chunk of download next time).
So I'm currently on the latest Chinese ROM running android 5.1.1 and it started working again. However the ROM came without gapps included so I flashed TWRP and installed gapps and I'm back to the reboot cycle. It lasted a long time before restarting again though so I'm guessing it's to do with gapps trying to update.
So I'm back to square one again. Any ideas? Is there any kind of log I can provide to help diagnose? I still have TWRP and have access to that without the bootloop starting again..
How did you rooted it?
Hey, so I have two Kindle fire hd 7's and a couple years back I rooted both of them and hadn't used them in a few months. About a year ago I needed to use them because my primary device is not rooted. So I took them out and instantly got tons of Google error messages because they had not been updated in about 2 years so I went on my computer to reset and get the newest version of cm and somehow I ended up deleting twrp and cm 12 and now it will turn on but it's just the Kindle fire logo, so that's what happened to the first one. With the second one I tried to update cm and twrp. And it worked but then I think I tried to reboot to recovery from twrp and now my Kindle is stick in a twrp bootloop. I want o save these devices if possible. Is there a way to get twrp and cm back on the first one even though it's not recognized by my computer, or should I just toss it? And with the second one it is recognized by my computer I can also get it to fastboot mode. Is there anyway I can uninstall then reinstall twrp without the bootloop happening again? Any help is appreciated. Thanks
