I'm running CalKulin's EViO 2 ROMv1.7.6 and I just noticed that when i go to my camera and try to use the front camera it just uses that main camera instead. This is problematic and curious to know if anybody else has has this problem or knows that fix to this issue. Any informative advice is greatly appreciated.

Have you tried wiping and reinstalling?
It happened to me. Go to the Sprint store and get a replacement phone.

I bought a used phone from a guy who was selling it on Craigslist. I did not check the front camera when I bought it. When I got home I realized that it was not working. I went to the Sprint store next day and they replaced it with another used one.
If they OP's front camera never worked that is the solution. If it was due to the ROM then please disregard this.
I did a full wipe on my phone and still no secondary camera. Then i did a back up of my fiancee's EVO whose secondary camera did work and restored it on my phone and it still had no secondary camera for me. I really hate doing this because this was a brand new replacement phone they sent me and its not working like it should.
Is there anything else i can possible try before going to sprint. I really hate dealing with their rude customer service and having to wait in the store for a whole hour just for them to tell me what i already told them.
When I use my Nexus 7, sometimes the screen will flash a black screen shortly, I track the logcat using the adb. But didn't find any
error information, it seems like the surfacefinger problem in Android 4.3. Dose anybody find the same problem?

Thanks XDleader555
Reconnect the cable of LCD can fix this problem!!!!!! the casing of nexus 7 need to be opened, but it's not hard!
If you are not able to fix it, try to use the JWR66N version!
Can't say I've seen this issue. Then again, I don't have any of the issues some are complaining about. I feel so lucky to have gotten one with no problems.
Does the black screen appear when you're doing something specific or is it completely random?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4
Yes, completely random. And the black screen flash in a short time. Normally it's difficult to meet.
Try to use clean ROM, but still happen. Hope the problem relate to the software but not Hardware.

I have the same issue. For a split second the screen will flash to black (off maybe) then back to whatever I'm doing. I had my tablet since the release date, but this issue started maybe a week ago.
Having the same issue myself on Clean Rom and can't figure out a pattern. Has anyone found a fix for this? Do I need to file for a replacement? Thanks!

when I use stock rom, screen randomly darken for just 0.1 sec. after I change to cm10.2. it hasn't happened.

I am on the 8-29 cm10.2 nightly. I've tried both with and without faux's kernel same issue. Wiped my device fully last night. No luck.

You should still have a warranty. I think this might be some sort of bug that could be corrected maybe. It seems weird for something like this to occur out of the blue. I may go back to stock to test or try a different Rom that didn't use cm as a base.

Turn off auto brightness if its on. If it doesn't help you can try desabling HW overlays in Developers options settings

Yes that's true and a good point. I just didnt feel like dealing with sending it in to ASUS and all that rather than just taking it back to best buy (laziness). I was thinking the same thing, that there would be a repair update and missed my easy exchange window. Never been on CM with this device so not sure if it's related. Fingers crossed, just an annoyance really... Thanks!

Doesn't seem to help. I'm starting to lean more and more to a hardware issue...

If the update and the factory reset doesn't work, I strongly recommend sending in the unit for RMA. While there, we can take a look at the hardware, and if needed, actually fix it for you.
My screen flicker (random black screen for a millisecond) went away after I checked the connection. I unplugged the screen, blew a little compressed air into the connection, and popped it back on. No screen flicker in sight after that.

I am also experiencing the same problem. I assume you had to open up the tablet to do that? I might give that a try too.
Was anyone able to reproduce this fix?

I had the exact same issue and after reading this thread decided to take the plunge and check the connection. I am typing this on my Nexus now so I don't appear to have broken anything, however I think I have just seen the screen flash black so the problem may still be there.
Given disassembling the thing voids the warranty I would probably recommend not risking it for this issue. I'll let you know if I change my mind.

I take this all back. After 24 hours of no black flashes I am very happy I took the risk.
The flash I saw when I was writing the above post must have been me being over sensitive to chrome redraws or something!

I've been using Hyperdrive ROM for a while and today I noticed that none of the alerts are producing vibration. I thought it might be related to the kernel I installed so I reverted the kernel but that did not fix. So I installed a new ROM (Resurrection) and I still have the same issue.
I installed Vibration tester and I'm still not getting any vibration.
Any suggestion ?

have you dropped your phone, or did it get wet. happened to me once. the vibrate stopped after getting wet on an HTC phone.. also if you drop it, the connector could get loose.

Nope, alright, weird, tw has power savings mode that would kill it, but aosp specifically that ROM I'm unaware of said feature. And since its occurring on both ROMs you may be in a pickle.

Yes, it's been working fine until few days ago when I noticed that I'm missing calls and texts due to phone not vibrating in my pocket. At first I thought it was a kernel issue (I was using Hyperdrive rom at that time) so I tried different kernel and it did not fix the issue to yesterday I installed KK remix to see if that fixes the issue but had no luck with that either. So at this point I think it might be a hardware issue and the vibration motor is toast. I went ahead and ordered a replacement and will try my luck with replacing the original one.

I thought about going back to stock to test but then decided against because I didn't think that it would make a difference as I have already tried different ROM with no success. Do you think that going to stock could make a difference?

Whoop. Glad to hear you got bit all fixed up man. Awesome.
I've had my nexus for a while now and as much as I enjoy using it there is a really big issue that keeps coming back. The touch sensitivity on my screen is terrible. It won't recognize half of my touches from time to time and its really frustrating. I have tried fixing it using the ts files and will work for a while then it will start with its issues again.
I also flashed almost every ROM I could think of trying to see if i t fixed the issue however it did not. I always flashed the unlock for the ts after so it would not stick in the new Roms hoping that it would get better. I have also done a full factory reset and wipe without any luck. Currently I'm running Android L lpv81( the second release) and I'm not ropted. I was using 4.4.4 with twrp earlier but it doesn't matter as long as I can get this touch issue fixed.
I looked around the forum for a while and used every fix I could find but none lasted long enough for me to enjoy it. I would really appreciate any help with this, I'm not afraid to mess around with some things to fix this issue.
My stock one year old Nexus will also occasionally not respond to my touch. Not enough to be really annoying.

It happens more often than not, in fact its enough to make typing hard and or frustrating at times. I have a feeling that it's a hardware issue, but unless there's a fix I'll just had the nexus 8 when our comes out.

Some people just can't afford to pay for every new device out there and have to deal with a malfunctioning device or try to fix it.
We're so lucky we have a community behind us that solves our problems.

It's a hardware problem. RMA if possible.
If not possible, try the TS drivers that the above post likely links.

It's been a while since I did it, but I think you start here: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2411741?ref_topic=3237699/#ts=4626603,4626497
I am facing screen flickering issues on my 3xl under low brightness. This gave me daily headaches for one month seriously.
So I'm thinking to take the Google support in this matter. I'm not rooted but bootloader was unlocked. Will they consider it to service under warranty or not?
I'm from India.
Thanks for help

Yeah they are fine with it, that's why I'm basically locked into Google phones for life, no other manufacturer for US phones is like this and supportive of the rooting community.
