I've smashed the screen on my 2013 LTE, I've been trying to get a replacement, but people keep telling me that the LTE screen and digitizer are different from the standard one, is this true and if so can someone point me in the direction of a good replacement.
Thanks in advance,
Nick
Giving this a bump because I have the same question. Bought a Deb that apparently had a tiny crack that caused touchscreen issues. Popping the cover off the back opened it up.
Most retailers don't mention the frame being different)?) . If that's true where can we get the correct display.

I've had my s3 since store release date and been cracked since 2 days later, just getting progressively worse, meaning cracking more. The phone still works but got littl pieces of glass falling out now.IS anyone having an issue with a faulty screen? I don't have any clue what happened to it in the first place that it cracked, that is why I ask this!
Secondly,
3 hours away from best buy where I was talked into getting their protection plan. Little did i know that they wouldn't ship ANYTHING!
What do you suggest I do. Anyone had any long distance dealings with the geeksquad?
Thanks
Woody
hmmm.
the screens crack easy because of the curved glass.
mine was cracked but i had it replaced already.
did it through sprint.
funny theres a video in another thread showing a guy attaching a brand new s3 to a string along with an iphone 4s and dragging both behind a car at 30 mph... after wards the s3 screen is fine but the phone is toast...
yes, indeed, so you should wear it a case, and the screen should avoid hit the hard things, it is also easy to be scrached and damaged.

thats the problem i can find loads of 2012 frames but a 2013 frame is nowhere to be found
Hi, have you been able to source a screen + frame for the Nexus 7 LTE (2013)? I can't find one either.
at this point it seems that nexus 7 2013 WIFI bezels are readily available but that Nexus 7 2013 LTE bezels are nowhere to be found... has anyone found one?? apparently the hairdryer / heat gun approach of recovering the existing bezel fails half the time, and is a huge pain.

I know this is an old topic but I came into the same problem and wanted to post a solution so other people dont get ripped of when someone is selling an lte version. I broke the black plastic when trying to remove the bezel for a glass only replacement. I wasn't to successful.
Anyway, as mentioned above, you can find the nexus 7 2013 WIFI bezels but still not the LTE ones. I recommend buying the Wifi ones, but you will need to replace those green PCB antennas from the broken frame. There are two, and mine where labelled "MAIN_EU_AC" and "DRx_EU_AC" which is the European version. The american version with have NA instead of EU. They are paper thin and bend easily without breaking. Wedge something in the corner and then slider something under it to separate the glue. Heat will help. Put these on the wifi frame and you should have a working frame with wifi and cellular capabilities.
hey exidez,
independently of your suggestion, actually the LTE bezels are available now. some months after my post, around fall 2016, i found an LTE bezel on alibaba. bought it used it. worked great. i'm assuming they're easier to find now generally.
Hi, I cracked the screen on my Nexus 7 (2013) and I replaced the LCD+digitizer. Now I have a big dead spot in the middle of the screen and it cuts out when I drag my finger across the screen.
Any help would be much appreciated!

This issue has come up enough times. Look for instance at THIS thread. There are so many possibilities as to why, it's impractical to generalize. In your case, however, I highly suspect the digitizer itself. But it depends on whether you replaced the combo, or the lcd and digitizer individually. While it's too late to mention it, you should've tested the thing before sticking it to the bezel. Some vendors would nevertheless consider a replacement if you can send it back to them. Good luck.
This Nexus 7 was severely dropped and cracked the screen badly. After the fall, it no longer power on. I'm suspecting the lcd might have broke, but I'm not 100% sure. Here's the full details:http://www.ebay.com/itm/Google-Nexu...61491785151?pt=US_Tablets&hash=item2599a915bf
I saw they are selling another lcd/digitizer assembly for ~$40. I was thinking of buying another nexus 7 or similar tablet if that auction sells. Would anyone advise me to keep on my current path, or to take the risk and buy the assembly and hopefully it works out?
My screen broke on my Nexus 7 LTE. I attempted a repair and ended up melting the frame (I guess 1000 degrees is too hot, who knew!?) I purchased a new frame on ebay (for a ridiculous price), but it was for the Wifi tablet. Turns out the frame is different from the LTE tablet. I attempted to use the melted frame and ended up breaking the new screen, yay. I've contacted Asus and had the tablet sent in and they wanted to charge me $250 or so to repair it. No thanks. So anyways, I've been searching for a frame and have not found one anywhere. Does anyone know where on earth I can find one?
i've been searching and searching and then searching some more for the LTE bezel. apparently they do exist but are just really damn hard to find.
i'm even thinknig of going with the 2013 wifi bezel (since they are easy to find), wondering if it is alterable into whatever makes the LTE bezel unique.
