how do I add on-screen menu/home/back buttons like the nexus 7 or other tablets that don't have off-screen buttons.
my tablet is rooted but no recovery is available to flash .Zip's.
any help is appreciated.
Is there a good solution to change the function of the app drawer and back in Oxygen OS 4? I tried some apps but its useless. It's rooted.
Have you tried flar2's Button Mapper? It definitely works on OOS, though you will need to pay for a pro key to remap the back and recents buttons. That said, flar2 is an excellent developer and the key is well worth it.
I thought the pixel 2 xl had a one handed mode setting. Maybe I'm thinking of my old Note 5. There was an option to swipe up from the corner and have the phone go into a scaled down screen/nav bar mode. Can't seem to find this setting now on the Pixel 2 XL.

I too had a Note 5 and used that feature a bit but nothing native in the Pixel. There is this thread...

No native one-handed use but some tips are to use the fingerprint sensor to pull down and up the notification menu and turn on one-handed keyboard option.
Pie update has brought the new navigation gestures system. We have three options - the old three button system, the pixel navigation with two buttons, and the new OnePlus one.
The old one and the pixel one are no good for me. I'm used to old phones with physical buttons below the screen, so all my typing habits treat the bottom of the screen as space. If I have any nav buttons there I keep pressing them instead of space, and well, that's not ideal to say the least. The new OP system is just rubbish - I never feel how much should I slide up and instead of task switching I always go to home screen or press back or whatever combination. I always end up doing it wrong.
So my question is - is there any way to bring back the original nav gestures from Oreo?
Yes, going back to Oreo
Heey guys, I've bought a redmi note 8 and i didnt like miui navigation gestures, is there a way to set gestures Just like Google? Swipe up to open multitask, set Just a button to return and longe press for assistant?
Don't think that it's possible on MIUI. You need to switch to a custom ROM or GSI.
