I have an unlocked at&t note 4 being used with t-mobile. Recently the internet connection drops as soon as a call comes in and comes right back when done. i checked with t-mobile and they say on their end their service supports talk and surf at the same time.
Is there an update or setting that got switched on? running stock 5.1.1

Hello! I have an unlocked Galaxy Nexus on the Bell Mobility Network in Canada, that I have a US T-Mobile prepaid SIM card for traveling in the States, and getting cheap data: yay for $3/day unlimited talk, text, and data! I was away a month ago, and just noticed today, that I was unable to send picture messages. The phone said to check my APN settings, to which I said, "Wtf does that even mean?" and googled it. Upon figuring it out, I checked the settings, and it still had my T-Mobile info in there, not my Bell settings. I changed it, and everything is hunky dory, nbd.
My question is, why didn't it automatically change, when I got back to Canada and put my Bell SIM in? Also, when I got to the States, I had difficulty joining the T-Mobile network. It was stuck roaming on AT&T and I couldn't access data. I had to physically make it join the T-Mobile network, by going into the mobile settings, hitting network operators, and selecting T-Mobile from the list. I happened to figure that out on my own, purely by accident. I didn't have to do that, when I originally got the T-Mobile SIM during black Friday. I just popped it in, and it worked. My Bell APN settings were fine upon returning after Black Friday too. Does anyone know why the issue this time? I was only running the previous version of Jellybean back in November, the phone has since updated to new Jellybean, could that be why? Or is my phone crapping the bed?
Thank you for any input :0)
PS phone is unrooted and running stock Jellybean 4.2.1
I have a Samsung galaxy 3 model # SGH T999N.
It was a metropcs phone, but I got it unlocked and now using it on Tmobile network.
Every time I try to use WCDMA/GSM (4G), signals goes to NONE or there are NO SIGNALS at all and nothing works, such as no internet , no calls , no texts. But after a while signals come back ,but does not stay for long and goes blank again or goes back to ZERO.
In other words, I can only use my phone on GSM (edge) network ,but that is very slow.
I got this phone unlocked from a local store and I DO NOT KNOW which rom they used, but I do see a SUPERUSER TROJAN HORSE on my phone. Therefore, I think it is rooted.
When I tried to use SOFTWARE UPDATE, there was a message saying that my phone was modified....
Any ides how can I get full signals so I can use 4G network.
Hey friends,
I'm looking to take my Note 8 from Verizon to Tmobile. The problem I'm having at the moment is while on T-Mo's network all calls forward to voicemail, no problem with making outgoing calls. Spoke at length with Tech support and we ran a test and did ##21# to deactivate the unconditional call forwarding. The phone received a call immediately afterward, but after 5 minutes reverted back to forward all calls to voicemail. I have 2 note 8's from Verizon and both did the same thing. Brought over 2 iPhone SE's with no problem. In addition, the data drops completely during a call. The call will not connect until the data is dropped then the call beings to ring.
I tried first unrooted then rooted them as they both are V2 via SamFail. Any thoughts? Anyone experienced anything similar. Tech support from T-Mobile said that If the phone had a 2G Only option that the service would work fine. Weird... Regarding the root, should I flash a home_CSC from Tmobile?
Thanks in advance for those they respond. :good:
immediately after samsungs update August1,2018 my phone would not allow me to use wifi calling. The setting is grayed out. Verizon also told me that they can no longer see my device in their systems. It updated and went completely through fine. But after ||I had a sim card error which I had to get a new 1. After a while of verizon employee talking to techs she got it to text and call on cellular towers, but my option to use video or call over wifi is gone. I have done a factory reset, network reset. In my verizon account it no longer says " s9 -G96OU" it says |" GTO Multi-Form-Factor Sim" Im wondering if flashing the rom again would help or if I should just send it in to Samsung
