Dual Network manager stuck on 2G

I've got the HTC Desire 820t. The "Dual network manager" does not let me choose 3G for any of my SIMS. The option is greyed out. When I try the *#*4636#*#* option, I see Preferred network type is set to GSM Only. If i change it to GSM/WCDMA/LTE Auto then i can connect to 3G, but after a reboot it goes back to GSM only.
Any ideas on how to make this stick after a reboot?

I also face the same issue with my 820u. Even if I try the *#*4636#*#* option, I can set the Preferred network type for SIM 1 only. If i wish to get 3G Data on SIM 2, I have to disable SIM 1 and then try the *#*4636#*#* option. When SIM 2 is connected to 3G data if I am enabling SIM 1, then both the networks automatically goes to GSM. l heard that many are facing this issue and feel that there is some software bug in the phone. Meanwhile, what is the Software number of your phone?

3G Connection Problem
I have streng problem. I can able to use 3G in India but when I am using 3G unable SIM out of India, I am not able to use 3G. The option to choose 2G/3G/LTE/Auto is disable.
But when I close SIM2 and use secret menu by *#*#4636#*#*, I can choose from GSM only to Auto mode and able to use 3G.
I also talk to HTC India customer care. They also doesn't know the issue.
But I am dam sure that there should be some BUG in their software.
Anyway, if anybody found any solution please post it here.

3G Problem solved
Recently HTC send software updates. The new software no is 1.22.720.1
This updates solved the 3G connection problem. Please check.

Have you tried to call your provider support or ask them for help ?

data sim prefer 1 and prefered network is gsm/cdma.......all problems solved

LG G4 H818N, can't get LTE working

Hi, I have a LG G4 H818N LTE model with dual sim running firmware v10c.
According to the mobile carrier, they support 900MHz and 2100MHz, yet I am unable to obtain 4G connection on my phone. I have enabled the option in the sim settings for "4G/3G/2G" on the SIM that I want to use for data and set that sim as the sim to use for data connection but it still only connects at H+.
Perhaps the carrier is using Cat 6 LTE. Is there a way to enable Cat 6 LTE on the H818N?
Is there a way that I can test LTE connectivity on the phone or are there perhaps any settings that I may have missed to force LTE connection?
I previously had an LG G3 D855 which connected to 4G without any issues.
Is there a file where I can manually edit the 4G bands for my phone?
Finally, slightly off topic. Can anyone explain to me what a KDZ file is?

mine has a working LTE on both sim 1 and sim 2 but not simultaneously. i found out that the apn is alittle bit buggy. check your apn and set the primary.

on three UK i could only get H+, but after using your instructions and choosing band 3, i now get lte, many thanks! Wiki has all the bands for countries/operators

hmm, just went to my dads (no lte there) and came home again (lte here) and it would not turn back to lte, had to use the info you gave again. seems it's not sticking. any suggestions?

Hi all, thank you so much for the answer. I'm actually having the same problem with my LG G4 H818N. I'd be grateful if anyone can advise what kind of setting I should choose for my phone to work on Vodafone UK 4G network. I'm so frustrated to pay 4G plan but only get up to H+

Can't provide link as using xda app, but Google 'wiki Europe lte bands' and it should come up with what you want. I'm on three UK and there was two different bands to try, turned out to be band 3 for me. Hope this helps

Sorry for my late reply! I did Google however, Vodafone is on Band 20. When I choose this option, it said Fail. Is anyone know why?

However, I only have 1 SIM inserted at the moment. In order to change to Band 20, does it need to have 2 SIMs inserted and follow your instruction?

I'm having a similar issue with my 818N. I can't get 4G/LTE.
Has anyone worked out why or how to fix it?

The hidden menus don't allow me to select lte bands they all just say fail after I select them.
In the RAT menu I am unable to select LTE only, it also fails.
It's as if LTE is disabled?

I tried installing 818P software into the phone which worked fine however I still couldn't connect to 4G.
I give up

It turns out that my phone was faulty and I've returned it to HK for a full refund. DWI were good to deal with and were fast to refund me my money once they confirmed that it was DOA.

I just brought a One plus 3 last week.
I m using jio in sim slot 1 and bsnl in sim slot 2.
If I select cellular data on the Jio sim, both sims have network. But if I select cellular data on Bsnl sim, jio does not get network. I m using on oxygen OS 3.2.6.
It is hardware or software problem?

thats probably because jio is a 4g only network and oneplus 3 doesn't support both sims running 4g at the same time.

That doesn't matter, you can only set 4g network on the sim that has an active data connection. Suppose you have idea and Airtel and both have 4g, which ever sim is your data sim will be able to have 4g access.

I Have Oneplus 3T Us A3000 Model. I am From India
actually here is the main issue is Volte Related, meanwhile 4g is working internet working super but Volte for calling not working. even i switch on Volte in settings but still they did not work for i try everything.
then i search and got the band issue is here i checked my Network provider using Band 3,5,40.
but in my mobile has band 5. so i unlock rest network bands by Qcn File of CN.
successfully unlocked the all my network provider bands.
but still Volte is not working i try my all efforts and things factory reset, custom rom but still Volte not working for me.
2nd issue
even now only 1 sim can work at a time other network gone out and when i try to search network the error comes (error while searching network)
means dual stand by is not working for me. vice versa same when i switch internet on 2nd sim 1st network gone
even i switch 1 sim on 4G and other on 2G.
?please help me out my Oneplus 3T is down

VOLTE(SIM-1) & 4G Data(SIM-2) Not Possible?!

Hey guys,
Just yesterday I came to know of this annoying problem with our device. For context, I use Jio as SIM-1 and Airtel as SIM-2. So what I was trying to achieve is to use 4G data from SIM-2 while SIM-1 was 4G & VOLTE enabled. But the irritating thing is this configuration as far as I tried not possible. Even searched all over XDA and ZUK forums for our phone and still no solution. While SIM-1 is the Data SIM, SIM-2 can still be 4G (but what's the frickin purpose). But When SIM-2 is the Data SIM, SIM-1 can't be 4G or have VOLTE flag. Then I thought if this is problem might be over if I interchange the SIMs in the slots. Now SIM-1 is Airtel and SIM-2 is Jio. Now also if I set SIM-1 to be Data SIM, Jio doesn't receive any frickin signal or VOLTE Flag. If Someone can please help me solve this problem, it would be very much helpful. Or I would like to know whether this problem is with a particular ROM only. I Run RR 5.8.4 with latest basebands and Darkmoon Kernel. Please Someone Help me with this.

Bro it's the same for any phone none have dual 4g standby and as you switch data sims the Airtel switches to 4g while jio gets downgraded to 3g where it can't work properly

But dude when I have Jio as my Data sim, airtel is receiving 4G. I double checked that.

I can confirm that.

And also I've checked three other phones (Oneplus 2, Mi Max, Le 2) where the phones donot completely lose signal (though happens rarely but a reboot rectified it). I think this is more of a ROM based feature than a hardware incapability. If anyone can confirm that this particular configuration of SIMs work on any other phone(s), we could probably port that feature atleast as a Magisk Module.

This is not a phone or ROM problem...its just that jio doesnt want users to use free voice while they are using different carrier for data!

Mi a1 getting dual volte feature via new software updates, so can't we?

Dual volte is successfully implemented on mi a1 with software and ours is SD 820 I think we can also enable it

Most 4g have backward support 3g.. so even though the phone is latched on to 4g it is actually connected to 3g bands.. true volte is only jio.. if volte switch is off and you are still making calls then it's backwards 3g that is gsm network

For me jio is volte first sim and Vodafone LTE on second sim.

can someone confirm me if airtel VoLTE is supported in their z2 plus even on single sim? I asked customer support of airtel and they said that our phone does not support VoLTE feature of airtel.

Issue with roaming "R" symbol appearing in status bar

I am using Jio 4G in my Lenovo K8 Note.
My data roaming is disabled, still I can seen Roaming "R" symbol in status bar.
How do I get rid of this R symbol? Please help!

i have the device, no similar issue is there in my device. But i think there is a problem with the phones signal. because when i put in my jio sim for the first time it showed LTE in the status bar which is far better option but after a formating of the device, i got the LTE Symbol gone and now it is only 4G. So i think Try a Full Format of the Device. . But i have not tried it yet.

bro... that's jio problem mot phone...in my k8 note same jio sim is there... no problem at all...try netwotk settings "automatic" or call jio...

ask them to resend network configuration again..once done, .shut down phone...remove ur sim...wait for 15 min... insert it again and restart phone.

I appreaciate your help, however who is going to develop TWRP/ROM/MOD/APPS???
I'm very excited to flash roms on my lenovo K8 note, this stock rom is not good as I thought, it lacks many features and customizations.
