Me not. Don't know about other users

Any more reviews from other people,it would help me properly decide to buy this phone or not

Can't speak for stock ROMs but I've got no issues with the phone at all, no heating like people keep moaning about too... Happily running RR

I'm using the latest Zui 2.5.104 ST since last two months, everything is stock and I haven't faced any random reboot issue. May be issue was there with first/earlier version, but no issue with the latest update. VoLTE also works perfectly and never drops (Just that "HD" sign grts vanished sometimes, but VoLTE still works). You can go ahead and buy this phone. Btw, issues like random reboots, heating can be due to individual usage, so make sure you don't overheat the phone, or use bad apps.

No such issue after update
To be on the safe side just factory reset the phone few times after update....it helps to get rid of such issues.

On 2.5.104 ST, every time I unlocked my phone, screen flickered and all radios disconnected. Sometimes it would immediately freeze, go to black screen, then LED lit up, requiring me to hold power button down to reboot the phone. Sometimes this happened, but not immediately. Sometimes radios would recover and phone would continue to function. Sometimes cellular radios recovered, but wifi did not, and even toggling airplane mode didn't fix it so I had to reboot. Nougat was quite a mess on my phone and that's even after factory reset many times. Several on zukfans.eu site had similar issues.
I don't think it was a hardware issue, because downgrade to 2.0.133 ST (Marshmallow) works perfectly.

Do you have dual SIMs installed? Connecting to 5GHz wifi or 2.4GHz?
Trying to figure out what is different about my situation.

Is anyone else having wifi issues?

Ok so in the past hour I've noticed that my phone has disconnected from my wifi a few times. It does connect straight away however when I try to load a page it won't load and I have to wait a little while longer until it works again.
Has anyone else had wifi issues with this device?
Any body have any wifi issues at all?
Yeah I'm having the same issue with my home's wifi.
Doesn't seem to occure at work though(or maybe I haven't noticed it since I do work there).
Talking about the 4g version.
Hi, thanks for the reply.
Apparently this is a common issue with the S4 as well. I did update my routers firmware yesterday and it didn't disconnect at all last night however ill keep watch on it.
have you tried anything to fix it?

No one else?
Just try reflash newest fw MH5 and test

I don't want to void the warranty though... I'm thinking it maybe a router issuer and not a firmware one...

Haven't tried anything yet.
I'll probably try flashing the latest fw at some point - which I think doesn't void your warranty.
If you find something out, let us know. I'll do the same.

I've got a new router coming from Sky. (Sky Hub.) I'll see how that acts before I flash my phone.
Let me know how you get on.
Can anyone explain how to get the MH5 Firmware and what steps need to be taken to flash it?
Yes I am too. I made another thread asking if people knew if the 9190, 9192 and 9195 have different wifi antennas. I am really bummed out over this.
Can you describe the wifi issue you have? What FM are you running?
No Wifi issues here.
So I did have issues, but that was the fail of Xposed-Framework, without that framework, there is no problem.
As a matter of fact you are able to stop the Wifi Power Safe Mode und the Service Mod (*#0011#) ... That stops a lot of Issues

Doing that will drain battery though. It isn't really an ideal fix...

Z1C WiFi Issues? Speed/Stability

Hi all,
Not been around for a long time so its great to be back
Recently got the Z1C on Contact, frankly its the biggest regret I've had with a mobile device.
Is anyone else having WiFi speeds slower than dial up?
My download speed is < 250 KB's
Any1 else had this? If so does any1 know a fix?
Thanks
I don't have that, neither on 2,4GHz nor on 5GHz. You could try the unofficial DooMLord kernel, it mentions "custom built wifi wlan modules", dunno if that helps.

I'm not currently looking to Root/Unlock/Flash anything.
I'd just like my Stock Z1C to actually work with WiFi.
Its not exactly difficult, its seriously annoying me now, why is it so slow?
.. sorry just saw my solution doesn't help you and I don't know how to delete a reply...
but anyway, have you tried to close all apps on your phone?

my wifi works great too .. what rom do you use? latest .757 ? download .761 or 757 FTF and try to flash via flashtool .. No need to unlock bootloader or root, but you will lose some data if you don`t make any backup
you have a software problem there ..

I'll check it out when I get home but I never have Bluetooth on so I'd be surprised if it was that.
I have a gaming router which is extremely powerful and all other devices/phones work perfectly so I know that the Z1C is the bottleneck.
Any other ideas if its not the bluetooth?
Thanks
I've not had any issues with WiFi or BT, which is always on on my phone. I do use 5GHz for WiFi.

Have you tried restarting your router?
Does it go slow with every wifi? can you test it on different wifi and see if the problem is with one type of router?
Don't think I've seen anyone ekse with this problem, although flashing the .757 update messed up my bluetooth (then .761 fixed it).

Thanks for getting back to me
I have tested it on my work WiFi, I don't know whether it is coincedence, sod's law or normal but the WiFi on my Z1C at my work is absolutely rapid!!
I've just updated an app to test it, and it was at around 5MB's which is brilliant for me !
However, work WiFi is a 100MB's connection speed, where as at home I believe its around the 12MB's mark (geographic limitations in place here >.<).
From this I see only a couple of conclusions:
1 - Z1C and my home router just don't get along.
2 - As the WiFi speed is so much higher at work, so is the Z1C
or that theres no relation between the WiFi speed and my device but there is an issue with the Z1C WiFi itself?
I'm presuming its the first?
Thanks again!

Hi there,
I'm still on totally stock ROM.
I've done some testing and I believe it is on every router/internet but is very inconsistent. Sometimes its very speedy, others it will drop to almost unusable speeds.
I think I'ma just get rid of this terrible device, very disappointed in Sony. Here are some of my issues:
Phantom Touches
Unresponsive Touch Screen
Constant Crashes
Phone CONSTANTLY answers in Loudspeaker
Screen will not wake up
WiFi Speeds Totally Unusable

Just update to 14.4.A.0.108. It's also stock, official. You do not loose data while updating and it takes merely 10 minutes of "sitting back and relaxing"
As for wifi issue, did you try disabling wifi optimization fetaure found in advanced settings?

Have to be honest,
I got that fedup with all the issues on the phone, I sold it and bought an iPhone.
(Waits to be shot).
However I must say, iPhones feel very nice nowadays, nice and snappy etc.
But yeah, I'll still be hanging around these forums helping people out etc,

Hey that's a new phone just so you know because this is not acceptable.
Not sure about reclaims in your country but it should be valid in most?
Mine did about the same as my PC/PS4 = 60-95MBps, that is until yesterday
Both bluetooth and wifi are stone cold dead so I though I should reflash my ROM(Aur) and rushed it when I realized whilst doing the same 'ol start guide for the hundreds time I forgot to flash recovery :victory::fingers-crossed:

[Q] GSM/WCDMA Problem that causes screen to flicker

Hi everyone. Had my P605 half a year ago, doesn't seems to have any problems with the screen.
Had always on WiFi to do the web browsing and what not. As recently decided to use my mobile data, as default, i found out the mobile network is on "Automatic", which is between GSM and WCDMA. To my knowledge, they are what also known as 2G and 3G.
The problem is, when I switched it to only GSM mode (if you ask for reason why, is because I was told to believed that 2G saves more battery life and I do not really browse internet heavily, most of the time Whatsapp and some twitter. so I don't think I need to have a very fast connectivity to drain my battery), the screen started to flicker. sometime awhile, sometime it keep flashes/flicker until i switch off my mobile data. Even if i power off/restart my tablet it still flashes during shut down or start up time.
Had tried with only WCDMA mode or the "automatic" mode which is switched on by default, the problem doesn't seems to exist.
However, it got me worry tho, what is the problem? is it because of my SIM CARD, hardware, or because of the software? is there anyway I can fix it myself?
P605
on 4.3 Jellybean
Mobile Network: UMobile (Malaysia), I don't think mine is having the LTE yet.
The device is not rooted, is all original.
Thanks in advance. Please help me with the problem. thanks!

Phone frozen only hard reboot fixes Help!p0

Has anyone been looking into the bug (dinosaur imo) where the phone (OP3 here but seen reports of same with the 3T) just freezes the screen goes black/off and the LEAD lights up white? I've had this happen with EVERY ROM I've flashed (in recent months anyway) whether it be Lineage, AOSP/Caf or Oxygen based rom. I never had this issue until recently (i.e. few weeks ago) although I remember reading complaints about this a while ago. I've tried grabbing logs, but as I can't duplicate the issue it's difficult and requires a hard reboot which wipes stuff outta memory. i did manage to grab a kernel/dmesg log which survives the reboot.actually I grabbed it by booting straight to recovery and pulling it from there. but as I'm kinda a noob I have no idea what I'm looking at. Lol I hope this log helps. The freeze culprit (if it's there) should be towards the end of the log. I'm assuming it might be associated with OOS firmwares as there the only constant between the Roms (barring it's not a hardware problem) I've tried every combination of Roms FW's kernels superSU magisk unrooted SElinux permissive/enforcing. yet it continues and seems to be becoming more frequent.thanks for any help as it will help the community as a whole

I have the same issue, does the white LED light up in oxygenOS ROMs as well? And you said that you only faced this issue a few weeks ago, had you updated the firmware of OOS?
I remember this on a few testbuilds of VertexOS. Back then it had to do with SDcardfs that where a little buggy. Perhaps that's the case now? If it is not much you can do.
When I go back to marshmallow, this issue magically disappears. Should be something related to the nougat firmware that screws up a few devices

I am myslef facing the same problem since last month. I too tried hard to find what was the problem but never got close. I had this issue on every custom rom. I switched to open beta and the problem followed. I asked oneplus team to flash my device remotely to go complete stock and i had the same problem.
Then i had a function at my hometown. So stayed there for 2 weeks. I encountered the same thing again the day i reached there but only once. The phone acted normally for the rest of the 13 days. I did not faced any issue.
Back from the function, i encountered this twice within the time span of 12 hours. My alarm did not rang as well. Wokeup 2 hours later.
So what i think is that this is somewhat network realted as that is the only thing that had changed in the two scenarios. Will try to use with single sim at a time to find if either of the carrier is creating the problem.

I have found out that I don't experience this issue on marshmallow ROMs. Currently I am on sultan's lineage ROM, and it works well. It is underclocked, I think that helps. Maybe our phones are unstable on max frequencies.
I am using 2 sims as well.
Clock speed isn't the culprit imo as i have mostly faced the issue when my phone was idling, like when i was sleeping. Though it might be a case as well as your point makes sense. Anyways am going to service centre day after tomorrow. Hope they find something before my warranty gets old.

Service centre guys were not able to find any problem with the phone. Although i had noticed something the phone went black this time. I was using my 1st sim's data
Actually that just clicked me. I was not sure though that this could be the problem. Switched back to 2nd sim for couple of days and tge phone stayed good all long. I then starting using the 1st sim's data again and i had those 'phone dead' scenes coming up very frequently. Thought it might be a sim module issue. Swaped the sims cards (1st in 2nd slot now and vice versa) and kept using the data from 2nd sim(it was in 1st slot before) and the problem followed. Switched the data back to 1st sim and the phone played well again. No issues
One sim is BSNL which only has upto 3G network and the other sim is Reliance Jio which only has 4g coverage. Initially the BSNL was in 1st slot and Jio in 2nd. I mostly use my data from jio. But when i want to use BSNL's data, it jumps to 3g network and there are no signals left in jio as there is no network range other than 4g and hence the sim remains deactivated when am using BSNL's data.
Am totally confused now as to what is this happening

Hmm, I see that your problem is completely different to mine. Something with the nougat firmware just doesn't work well with my phone (I would guess something in the nougat firmware/blobs) and the phone randomly freezes and force shuts down when using it (mostly when using it intensively). Maybe taking my phone to a service centre is the right choice. I am pretty sure they will say that there is no problem with my phone.

But when i want to use BSNL's data, it jumps to 3g network and there are no signals left in jio as there is no network range other than 4g and hence the sim remains deactivated when am using BSNL's data.
Am totally confused now as to what is this happening

You are supposed to use Jio sim only in the first slot. They specifically advise that. Now I understand why they advise like that.

But using the jio in the 1st slot also gives the same problem. And apart from that they advise to use jio sim in first slot because some phone have the network changeability (switch between 2g,3g or 4g) only on the first sim while the second sim always stays on 2g while that is not the case with the oneplus 3

[SOLVED] Please Help - WiFi Frequently Disconnecting in Android Pie ROMs

The WiFi on my phone disconnects for about 2 seconds (every 15 minutes or so) for no reason at all. I have the same problem on EVERY single Android Pie ROM such as Lineage, Pixel Experience, AOSiP, AEX, etc. When the phone is in sleep mode the Wi-Fi will NOT reconnect, which means I constantly miss important notifications such as messages from friends. Also, when watching YouTube I keep seeing a message pop up saying 'Back Online' due to the WiFi disconnecting.
I have seen a couple of people on the forums with the same issue, but a solution has not yet been found. I know this is NOT a problem with my home broadband because I don't experience the same WiFi dropouts on other devices.
If anyone knows a solution to this problem, or just has a suggestion, PLEASE let me know as I would REALLY appreciate it.

I'm using carbon rom, no problems when using WiFi or hotspot.

Hi. Thanks for the response. I will keep that in mind, I can't remember whether I tried Carbon ROM before.
However I have to think this problem is related to something more specific than just ROM, because if this problem was present on all installations of these popular ROMs like Lineage, AEX and Pixel Experience (as I have tested in my own experience) then we would likely see a lot more complaints about it on the forums. So I think the issue is related to something to do with a certain setting or configuration.
It is a VERY frustrating problem because I can't leave my phone for 15 minutes without it disconnecting from WiFi and loosing access to notifications.
Not that this will help but in the past I had issues with Samsung OEM ROMs I flashed using ODIN (equivalent to our QFIL) a firmware from another country and for some reason even though technically my phone WAS compatible, I would have similar results to yours. If I were you I would back up all your data and try a few different QFIL to see if you have any luck. I flashed the LATEST QFIL (not using miflash etc) and have never had any issues with my zuk

Thanks for that. I agree it might be the cause of the issue, something like what you describe. It would make sense because I have only found 2 other people on XDA with the same issue, and the problem happens on every ROM I have tried. I have owned the ZUK Z2 since 2016 and only now, in these past 2-3 months, am I experiencing these problems with Wi-Fi disconnecting.
From what I can see the latest QPST is 3.5.389 ST, so I will try flashing that next week (once I'm back from vacation) and see what happens!

Well, I tried flashing the 3.5.389 ST QPST and then flashing LineageOS 16.0 on top of that, but the problem is still the same. Wi-Fi disconnects for a few seconds whilst using the device, and also whilst the device is in sleep mode. Except when it disconnects in sleep mode, it will NOT reconnect meaning I miss all kinds of notifications until I manually check my device.
The frustrating thing is I don't know for sure whether it's something to do with my home broadband or router. But all of my other devices (such as Windows laptop) STAY connected at the same time my ZUK looses connection. So I have to assume it is software-related on the ZUK.
If I can't solve this soon I will just go out and buy a new phone. I can't deal with missing important notifications. It is sad because I really liked this phone and have kept it for 2½ years. I don't understand why this problem suddenly started because it was fine before.

After you flashed the QPST did you boot into the rom and try using oem zuk to see if it resolved your issue? Apparently that fixes quite a few problems but requires actually booting into the rom. If you flashed an official QTSP using deep flash (not miflash) anf it STILL has that problem then it must be internal hardware. Guessing you have tried connecting to someone elses wifi and it does the same?

Thanks. Well, sometimes I visit a relatives house where I can connect to a different router, but usually I am not there long enough to test whether the phone stays connected. But in response to your other question, I did boot into the ZUI ROM after flashing the QPST. But I didn't test to see whether the problem persisted because I hate ZUI and could never use it on a daily basis when there are other, much better stock Android-like ROMs available.
I was in contact with someone else on XDA who had the EXACT same problem and he suggested trying the latest build of AEX which seemed to solve the issue for him. So currently I'm trying that but I haven't had enough time to test it, yet. So far I have not noticed the phone disconnecting but it has only been about 1 hour since I flashed the ROM. I will know more after a few days of testing.
Switching to AEX made no difference. Still no success despite wiping entire device and flashing stock ROM with QFIL. I have tried almost every Android Pie ROM including LineageOS, AEX, AOSiP and Pixel Experience. I also changed channel on my broadband router. Nothing works.

Then it may be a hardware problem, the antenna wires can be disconnected or damaged. Have you tried a stock Rom?
@1qazwsx4 @bordi21
After an entire year of this problem, I have FINALLY found a solution to my phone disconnecting whilst on home Wi-Fi. Turns out it is nothing to do with the phone or custom ROMs...
In the router settings there is an option called 'Enable IPv6 on LAN side' that is checked by default. I unticked this and now my phone is able to hold connection flawlessly!
