What clock speed u r getting using stock zui ROM.. Mine is rooted but the CPU z and kernel auditor shows big and small cores are only throttling at 1190 and 1030.. I can't change them too.. Is anyone also having that.. Developers pls reply.. Specially henibudu .. Deodexed stock compiler

U could try overclocking your phone.
After i changed to CM7 and set the CPU frequency to 1,5ghz my games were lag-free.
I would recommend CM9.1 and any CM9 kernel of your choice, just take a look in the development section.
go to this thread --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1854682
its a sony rom based on markphytons rom , the rom is very smooth , but if u want to use for gaming , i recommend overclock ur phone to 1.4Ghz and set governov to smartassv2 . also try use swapit ram expander . it will use ur sd to swap ur memory to ur sd . but it also can damage ur sd card . so use at your own risk .
how to overclock?
there are many ways to overclock , but for me , i use no frills cpu control (google it , you will get it) . install and open the apps . make sure u have root access . then set max cpu frequency to 1.402 something Ghz . governov choose smartassv2 . leave min cpu frequency at there . tell me or press thanks if it work for u .
I will thank you after done using no frills cpu....
To go above 1GHz, you need a custom kernel such as DooMKerneL. That kernel is also faster than the stock kernel, at the same clock speed.
Still got lag in games...should I go change rom??...i heard nxt and dixperia rom are the best among all roms..
Hello people , I rooted my desire 2.3.3 official with Superuser , but when I have opened No frills cpu , minimum cpu what can I select was 128 mhz and maximum 980 mhz ...I mean there must be a 1190 mhz but its missing , please help
What did u use to root? HTC Desire?
Maximum MHz is 1113..
Try installing Rom Toolbox and check there.
It's probably your kernel. There's CronMod kernel for Gingerbread, try that. Using it w/ CyanogenMod 7.2 and I get 1220MHz Overclock.
Some kernels doesn't allow overclock at all ( Like sense ones ).
Edit:
CronMod ( Rom w/ Kernel )
Download it below in main post. ( Under CronMod Kernel )
Don't flash it on Sense rom. If you want your Sense roms, then take a look at Development section and flash a sense rom.
They are most likely to be better than official roms, because of features like A2SD or INT2EXT and extended overclocking capabilities.

Did you flash a custom Sense / rom or a custom kernel? I meantioned that a post before.
As I said, you kernel might be restricting the overclock.
Edit:
Now I am using Evervolv Kitkat 26.12.13 nightly, It's great, got 1113 OC with it, A little bit less than with cronmod, but still good speed.
Really, Don't stay with stock sense, since you can't do much with it, If you want sense there's plenty of roms in Development section, w/ kernel optimisations and larger overclocks ( sounds kinky) .
If you don't know how to flash a custom rom / kernel ( w/ recovery ) then you should check tutorials of doing that.
My config;
- CM7r2 hboot
- 4EXT Recovery
- 2GB ext4 partition
- 32GB Sandisk Extreme Class 10 card
- CM 7.2.0.1 - rom altered by me with 7Zip and UOT Kitchen
- Go Launcher EX

Like EviLShadeZ says; it depends on the ROM, and the kernel.. Rooting ur phone, does not automatically mean wild OC'ing..
Besides, most (if not all..?!) CyanogenMod ROMS have built-in CPU control, so u wont need NO frills CPU, or whatever..

this could be a cpu governor/schedule issue... can you give us those infos: governor/scheduler, cpu mv @1.5 GHz, cpu max freq? and tell us if any app/script can block max cpu freq please does this happen only on aosp? have you tried other roms?

i have tried CM11,AICP and AOSB rom with kernel given in rom.zip..yes it does happen only with aosp rom..i didnt use any other app or tweaks or scripts...i use use only trickester mod to change parameters of kernel..i have also try to lock cpu freq at 1.4ghz or 1.5 ghz(i dont remember) and ondemand governor and noop scheduler...but no luck..

My suggestion is to try a custom kernel and play with governors/schedulers just to find the best pair for you...

hi all, i'm using galatab3 kernel 14.5.27 on my sm-t311 with stock jb 4.2.2, cf-root and philz recovery... everything's fine except the fact that i can't seem to be able to change gpu frequencies... i've tried with both trickstermod and devil kernel manager, but every frequency i set is immediatly overwritten with the default value for that step.... also, gpu voltages in devil manager are not updatable.... i was wondering if there's a fix for this, since i'd like very much to play with gpu frequencies... any help appreciated thanks
