HTC rear housing - HTC 10 Questions & Answers

hi all.
My HTC 10is looking pretty battered now but seems like replacing the rear housing will make it a brand new phone. Has anyone tried this? If so,how risky is it to do this?
Thanks

Vidcam Lens Cover

Hi All
I recently had my beloved Uni recased and the person that did it lost (I think he broke it) the vidcam lens cover and wondered if anyone had or new where I am likely to get a replacement as I do not want to buy a whole new casing again.
Many thanks

Housing Screws

Hey guys. 1st off, I just want to say I love these forums. I've never posted but I've read a lot from here and you guys are extremely helpful! Thank you!
I was curious to know if anybody knows where I can get some T6 screws for the Incredible housing? I don't know how long the screws need to be so it's hard for me to pick from the many that are online. I'm getting ready to replace my entire phone housing.
Thanks for your help!
Found this http://www.ebay.com/itm/HTC-Droid-Incredible-Housing-Motherboard-Screws-T6-/280746554502
Thanks! I saw that earlier but the listing had ended
I know when I bought and replaced my wifes evo housing it came with the housing and motherboard screws. Also couldnt you just use the old screws or take an old one out and measure its length so you can get some from anywhere.
I guess I forgot to mention that I'm missing 2 of my screws so that plays a role lol. Any ideas?
I'm not sure the housing I'm getting comes with screws...I hope it does
bueller? anybody?

[Q] HTC Desire glass broken but screen OK

Hey guys,
As you can see on the pictures, the glass of my Desire is pretty much shattered, but fortunately the screen still works, so I only need to replace the glass.
Question: Where can I get one for a relatively cheap price? Fellow Europeans, give me some suggestions.
Thanks for your help in advance.
Have you looked at ebay? A8181 is a good keyword too.
Looks like this is what you'll be needing: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HTC-Desir...ssories_RL&hash=item4aaffb5828#ht_1706wt_1037
In fact, ebay is a good site to find it but bear in mind that you will have to disassemble the whole phone.
I had to do it for mine, and I was very happy to have the special screw drivers in the screen package that I bought.
Here is a tutorial on how to disassemble the phone:

You also can find videos on youtube...
eBay is going to be your best choice to get your new digitiser. Try to get one which includes the special adhesive and the tools required for the job. Read/watch the instructions a few times before you start the job. The hardest part is going to be getting the old digitiser off. Good luck.

Accelerometer/Gyro help!

Hi guys. Just bought my second note 2 after my first one sadly broke.
I bought a new one for $300, as it is in terrible condition (bezel is in shocking condition) and the screen has been poorly replaced (dirt and hair between the glass and amoled.
Bought it for a bargain as I can get a new bezel for $16 and new glass for $20 on ebay.
Only one thing I have noticed, the gyro/accelerometer doesnt work. Could the previous owner have bumped a cord or something while he/she was replacing the screen? Is this a simple fix.
If someone could reply with a picture of a diagram of the mainboard showing where the gyro is situated maybe I can have a closer look.
Plus, if for some reason it is completely shot, can you replace this part easily?
I would flash an official rom, if still does not work then its broken.
Yeh I have, no change.
There a part I can replace it with? Or is there a conncetor that I can double check is in place?
A far as i know its part of the motherboard so the end user will find it hard to replace.

[Q]Cracked Glass

how is it going everyone,
i got a problem, it's my first time. Some local shops asked my girlfriend 60€ to replace her camera glass, since we are not living with our parents and we are studying i just googled the problem and saw that glasses&co didn't cost that much so i'm still trying to be able to repair it. The problem seem to be only with the glass, i just ordered online this Toolkit:#291553644760 on ebay.it
hoping it will work, then i ordered this: #331623081947 on ebay.it
i was like: "too easy, something gonna go wrong" AND HERE IT GOES.
today i recived the camera without the lens, here is the problem, should i order a lens? is it easy to put in it? can i do it with my Toolkit or do i need no Toolkit at all? i hope you will answer soon because i have 7 days to send back the camera and try to order one with lens.
Anyway i found this lens, is it what i'm looking for? #351475263688 on ebay.it
BIG THANKS EVERYONE!
i hope someone gonna solve my problem, stay awesome!

Anyone?
Anyone who knows more then me? Pleeease
So the camera still works right? and only the lens is broken?
If so, get this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Camera-Glas...668631?hash=item4aefdab897:g:36IAAOSwyQtV5sQL and watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aODndvN2zII to help you understand how to fix it.
Hope this helps

If your rear camera is working without issue and you just need the lens assembly, I found this on eBay. It says it's OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer)
It's the gray colored one @$13.99. You would choose the color you need:
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=151794398884&alt=web
I also found this for $8.99.
It doesn't say it's OEM:

As I mentioned, if your existing rear camera is operating without issue, you just need to replace the lens assembly. You can return the camera you purchased and just replace the lens assembly in the correct color needed.
Search for an OEM lens assembly. If searching on eBay, find a seller with excellent feedback, etc. Choose your color and follow the video in the link from the previous post. Installation looks to be straight forward, although I'd do additional research to be certain.
It's really weird that it comes with no glass. Here is what i found http://www.witrigs.com/oem-camera-lens-for-lg-g4-black and need $14.99.
