I am currently running stock rooted Nougat Rom but it isn't the best because it has many battery-draining, overheating and bad performance issues. Which is the best ROM for camera, battery, and smooth performance? So far I have found:
[ROM] [Z5/Z5P-Single/Dual] RXSW Moonbreakers Edition [1.7.0] [30/09/16] [6.0.1]
or
[Z5/Z5P][Dual/Single][.305][ROM] Kryptonian - The Rom of Awesomeness [08/11/2016]
All two are very good, I personally prefer Kryptonian but it is personal opinion as always in these cases. However, they are both Marshmallows, in fact there are no Rom Nougat based on the Sony stock, for Z5 Premium ...

Hello,
Please help me in choosing the best, stable, ROM for arc S
I want killer looks and best performance.
Thank You
I get best performance with stock or arconium, for looks I would rather use the themes forum.
Sent from my LT18i using xda app-developers app
then please suggest me best theme with great looks and battery meter too..
like the xperia S
If you like the looks of Ice Cream Sandwich (official, not Sony), your choice is JJ's Hybrid 3.2. Best ROM in my opinion, working on locked bootloaders too. Probably the smoothest ICS ROM for Arc/S.
Cyanogenmod 9.
Variety of customization options, overclock through settings, etc.
Take a look

In terms of themes, MIUI offers excellent options and performs well. There are several ROMS available, your options are only limited by what level of access you have on your phone, root? unlocked boot loader?
A couple to look at:
The official one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1565194
arconium: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1565475

I think so, but i doesnt Test it
Never change a running System
with JJHyb_v3.2
arconium ics with stock kernel best for me atm
jj hybrid room is the more fast and smooth but you cant change the home launcher =/ (i mean the home.apk)
Best ROM is Arconium 8.2 (GB). Very battery friendly and very good performance.
for me best rom for arc/arc s is JJ hybrid rom, from jj doctor

Just installed JJ's hybrid after becoming frustrated by the stock ICS. It is a revelation, and I would really recommend it.

Take a look at Arconium MIUI and Arconium ICS. MIUI looks different than all other roms and I think it's pretty beautiful. Arconium ICS is basically stock ICS with better performance and some cool little fixes.
JJ Hybrid is great and smooth but its battery drain is scaring me :/
Installed it last night, take a look at this screenshot :
Hello Guys!

Since that you wishes for a rom that is stable and has all the stuff working..then the only option that you have is stock based rom such as arconium, jelly sandwich, ics jb remix..etc..cm9 and cm10 is out of the question then..However, if you prefer the aosp look..you may try jj hybrid rom that is based on stock but with the cm9 look..it is fast too..
Right now I am using Omega v3 with the jb driver and lupus v5.2 kernel..for me that and jj hybrid is the fastest rom that i ever tried..
Aha, great then I might try it then
..
If you don't care about graphical user interface ,defintely JJ hybrid rom is great (fast - compatible with games - has ROM control as well) ,few bugs though like wifi hotspot http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1537717
If you care about having nice user interface with reasonable game performance with lots of free ram available you can try Jelly sandwich http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1836993 or the Remix http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1884958
Also Xperia Purness worth a try as well http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1788701
For the Kernel i always advice to use stock kernel in order to avoid battery drain issues.

This is so far the smoothest and fastest ROM I have experienced on my phone
It provides loads of memory:
Internal Memory : About 350 Mb on clean install (could be more)
RAM : On average gives an awesome 240-250 Mb free on clean install
This is so far the max amount of space provided by any ROM
Main Features
1. Clean and awesome UI from Xperia S
2. NXT style lockscreen (fully working)
3. Notification Toggle fully working with working Network Mode Toggle (2G/2G3G/3G)
4. Modded Camera Higher Image and Video Qualty
5. Xperia launcher with options avilable

And 'this' is?
Btw, I am on jj's hybrid ROM.Yeah, its great but there are launcher lags :| and not so much ram available occasionally...
Go for Jelly Sandwich 6.1 | Adv Stock ICS Kernel
Super Fast, Smooth, Stable
Great ROM....
Yeah Jelly Sandwich is the fastest rom i've ever tested.
Vote for JJ Hybrid, Jelly Remix, Pureness ...
I'm on JJ Hybrid Stock kernal after some time you might see some launcher lags.Battery is doing good

Too much topic abt "best rom".
In my opinion, GB is the best. I use Acorium 8.2 and everything ok for me.
xperia ultimate hd by jader for super speed and stability, combined with adv. stock kernel
Jelly Sandwich 6.2
my Best
zohaib0001 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1746508 with KTG http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1647665
Works good with best battery life
Tried many, but have to admit GB is the one with the least lags.I am using X-GAMER now and its fantastic
Stock based Gingerbread ROM beats any ICS/JB ROM anyday.. Use Arconium 8.2 or Xperia S ROM.. Everything works fine and smooth!

Ever trying JB based ROM?
Was wondering about bugs/FCs before, but after 1 month using KXP ROM in the development section I could not suffer the lags of any 4.0 roms any longer:fingers-crossed:
I do not play any large games on phone (psp, 3ds are for games) n not interested in the cameras, so far JB roms work well for me.
Jelly Sandwich 6 + adv stock kernel
amazing: smooth and battery friend.
Xperia T 5 rom + adv stock kernel + build.prop& init.d custom tweaks = awesome
Hi Everyone!
I am back for some more rom development...
So what rom do you guyz want?
CM9.1 based Sony Xperiance Rom
OR
Clean Tweaked Stock Rom
Also please vote on the pole please..
Smooth ROM
i have seen that no ICS rom is as smooth as GB.. If you can make it smooth please build any of these:highfive::good:
i think you should work with n1kolaa on porting xperia z 4.1.2 rom
Depends on u yourself.
But for me, I like tweaked stock rather than Custom build due to HDMI.
What is the Rom with better performance? I want to try MIUI, but i remember that the MIUI of iHackers had the problem of "non in market apps" (like Unicredit App). How is the stock based by balcangsm? Thank you very much. (battery life is very important for my decision).

All are good ROMs.. MIUI by iHackers is only for UB.. MIUI stock based is mainly for smoothness, good battery backup and indeed done for LB.. eXistenZ has completely Sony Xperia Honami aka Z1 UI in it.. Complete port of Z1 framework in it.. So more like Stock Honami in ur SXS..
The official end of the package a good point
So are You suggesting me to use miui by Ihacker or miui stock based? i have ub, root..

try them both and see wich one is better for you
you have ub so you can try the tow of them

Thank you, and do you think is better, for gaming, a stock 4.1, an "unstable" CM 4.1;4.2 , or a Cyanogen Stable cm9? Thank you in advance!

i never tried CM so i cant tell ,, but i had seen around some users complain about game crash on CM based
agian you can try and see by yourself
Stock, aosp or cm10 roms are best
Stock - stable but lacks graphics smoothnesd
Aosp - no stable working ones
Cm10- some games dont work or crash often BUT has best performance
Everything kinda folows especialy if you test this with max graphics on GTA 3 or real racing (have to mod to do)
Like i said cm10 or stock
Battery, stock based has superiour battery once you turm on extended battey mode (jb of course)
Honnestly i use stock based roms

Hello everyone,
In your opinion what's the stablest and fastest ROM for Xperia S, apart from Stock ROM?
I have been using Stock ROM, but it has become too slow. I know that the device is old but still.
Please tell me your opinion, any ROM from 4.1 to 5.1 which is stable and faster?
oneofakind
Oneofakind or Layers CM12 based roms are great !
How's the battery backup? Multi tasking is good?
And I suppose that they are based on MickyBart's rom so the problems in his ROM are still present?
I also wonder this. After updates phone lose stability and has many stuck promlems
Oneofakind is great
Wystukane z XPERIA S przy użyciu SwiftKey'a
Oneofakind gave new life to my device.
naospROM
The naosprom is with Layers support and is working very nice with my phone
anyone made ubunto touch for xperia s
