What is the Rom with better performance? I want to try MIUI, but i remember that the MIUI of iHackers had the problem of "non in market apps" (like Unicredit App). How is the stock based by balcangsm? Thank you very much. (battery life is very important for my decision).

All are good ROMs.. MIUI by iHackers is only for UB.. MIUI stock based is mainly for smoothness, good battery backup and indeed done for LB.. eXistenZ has completely Sony Xperia Honami aka Z1 UI in it.. Complete port of Z1 framework in it.. So more like Stock Honami in ur SXS..
The official end of the package a good point
So are You suggesting me to use miui by Ihacker or miui stock based? i have ub, root..

Thank you, and do you think is better, for gaming, a stock 4.1, an "unstable" CM 4.1;4.2 , or a Cyanogen Stable cm9? Thank you in advance!

i never tried CM so i cant tell ,, but i had seen around some users complain about game crash on CM based
agian you can try and see by yourself
Stock, aosp or cm10 roms are best
Stock - stable but lacks graphics smoothnesd
Aosp - no stable working ones
Cm10- some games dont work or crash often BUT has best performance
Everything kinda folows especialy if you test this with max graphics on GTA 3 or real racing (have to mod to do)
Like i said cm10 or stock
Battery, stock based has superiour battery once you turm on extended battey mode (jb of course)
Honnestly i use stock based roms

Since that you wishes for a rom that is stable and has all the stuff working..then the only option that you have is stock based rom such as arconium, jelly sandwich, ics jb remix..etc..cm9 and cm10 is out of the question then..However, if you prefer the aosp look..you may try jj hybrid rom that is based on stock but with the cm9 look..it is fast too..
Right now I am using Omega v3 with the jb driver and lupus v5.2 kernel..for me that and jj hybrid is the fastest rom that i ever tried..
Aha, great then I might try it then
..
If you don't care about graphical user interface ,defintely JJ hybrid rom is great (fast - compatible with games - has ROM control as well) ,few bugs though like wifi hotspot http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1537717
If you care about having nice user interface with reasonable game performance with lots of free ram available you can try Jelly sandwich http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1836993 or the Remix http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1884958
Also Xperia Purness worth a try as well http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1788701
For the Kernel i always advice to use stock kernel in order to avoid battery drain issues.

This is so far the smoothest and fastest ROM I have experienced on my phone
It provides loads of memory:
Internal Memory : About 350 Mb on clean install (could be more)
RAM : On average gives an awesome 240-250 Mb free on clean install
This is so far the max amount of space provided by any ROM
Main Features
1. Clean and awesome UI from Xperia S
2. NXT style lockscreen (fully working)
3. Notification Toggle fully working with working Network Mode Toggle (2G/2G3G/3G)
4. Modded Camera Higher Image and Video Qualty
5. Xperia launcher with options avilable

Btw, I am on jj's hybrid ROM.Yeah, its great but there are launcher lags :| and not so much ram available occasionally...
Go for Jelly Sandwich 6.1 | Adv Stock ICS Kernel
Super Fast, Smooth, Stable
Great ROM....
Yeah Jelly Sandwich is the fastest rom i've ever tested.
Vote for JJ Hybrid, Jelly Remix, Pureness ...
I'm on JJ Hybrid Stock kernal after some time you might see some launcher lags.Battery is doing good

Too much topic abt "best rom".
In my opinion, GB is the best. I use Acorium 8.2 and everything ok for me.
xperia ultimate hd by jader for super speed and stability, combined with adv. stock kernel
Jelly Sandwich 6.2
my Best

Works good with best battery life
Tried many, but have to admit GB is the one with the least lags.I am using X-GAMER now and its fantastic
Stock based Gingerbread ROM beats any ICS/JB ROM anyday.. Use Arconium 8.2 or Xperia S ROM.. Everything works fine and smooth!

Ever trying JB based ROM?
Was wondering about bugs/FCs before, but after 1 month using KXP ROM in the development section I could not suffer the lags of any 4.0 roms any longer:fingers-crossed:
I do not play any large games on phone (psp, 3ds are for games) n not interested in the cameras, so far JB roms work well for me.
Jelly Sandwich 6 + adv stock kernel
amazing: smooth and battery friend.
Xperia T 5 rom + adv stock kernel + build.prop& init.d custom tweaks = awesome

Stock rom sucks.
I never tried the CM7 rom.
The jb rom is still in alpha stage. But you could try the slimbean rom. Many says that it has a good battery life and smooth.
But i recommend you to install CM9 rc2. Good performance and battery life. Also more stable and less bugs compared to the jb roms. I also install castagnaIT kernel on my CM9 rc2 roms. Works great.
Hope this helps
if u still want to use GB (for the camera purpose) i recommend the GB gaming rom from bacrot..if u r ok with the cm9 camera go for it.most said its the best..n also u can try d slim rom just as our friend said

Previously i was on cm9, and i'm ok with the camera, but the one and only thing that make me pissed off is, the rom is quite laggy..
And guys, one more question,
Do i need to swap to make the rom smoother? As i know, this device have quite large rom space..
i think slimbean is suitable for u
Try the SlimBean ROM! And also flash forvivos kernel... Do this with Pristine, after that install seeders... The best ROM youll have...

I know it can be confusing, so it is best to flash kernel recommended by rom owner.
But, i can try to explain:
There are two (2) type of roms:
-Stock (based on sony's firmware)
-Aosp (or aokp, cm or miui)
So, you have Stock gb and ics, but no Stock jb.
For Aosp based roms, you have cm7 as gb based, cm9 as ics based and cm10 as jb based (i don't know what is miui based on)
To be able to boot rom, you need kernel that match type of rom you want to install.
Some version of kernels can boot dual type roms:
Example:
1: ics/gb Stock - can boot ics and gb roms based on Stock firmware
2: ics/gb cm - can boot ics and gb based on aosp ics gb roms
3:lupus v8 jb can boot Aosp jb and Aosp ics roms, and MAYBE that's the
kernel you are searching.
The best way is to search in kernels thread based on rom you want to install

dude, that makes a lot of sense, ever since i installed the kernel that i mentioned earlier i have been having random issues with some custom roms
usun lupus ics v12 720 on verizon xperia play
Gin2jelly bean rom is not recognized by my computer and wom was amazing but i dont like when developers put too much apps in it . i guess the problem was the kernel i am using
ICE CREAM PURENESS : laggiest thing ever, dont know why
[ROM][GSM] Gamer 4 [Ultimate Sony experience], this rom i wanted to install because it has on screen softkey buttons. so i could use those instead of the hardware one, but have to uninstall because the didnt appear on screen and has lots of apps.
SLIMBEAN: WELL I COULDNT INSTALL IT AND KERNEL KEPT ON BOOTING LIKE CRAZY.
NOW I AM BACK WITH THE BEST ICS ROM IN MY OPINION THE TRUE ANCESTOR FINAL EDITION, WHICH I LOVE BUT IT DOESNT HAVE THE SOFTKEY BUTTONS
but now that you clarify this i might try to flash a jelly bean kernel since google claims that jellybean is the one to beat lag.
THANK YOU GUYS FOR REPLYING.

Well, just to add, if you want gaming perfomance, use gb roms. Ics is stable these days, but little slower then gb in gaming. Jb is only Aosp based, it's good in gaming, but some things are still "work in progress".
Ps: we where all noobs at some point

Eta is asking when something will come out. Neo2play is the Rom that he made and its in his Signature that's why you see it in all his posts. That rom doesn't haven't screen buttons but it does give you lots of choice in what you use to fully customize your phone through aroma installer. It should work if you have an ics kernel but it has to be a stock ics kernel not aosp. If your using true ancestor then that means neo2play should work on the sane kernel
Sent from my Xperia Play (r800x)
True ancestor rom, as my rom also, is based on Stock ics for Neo L (since that phone have exactly same hardware as play, minus touchpafs). My rom came out later, but i modded it more, and put aroma installer with bunch of rom options (gamers like less things installed, casual gamers sacrifice ram for the sake of extra stuff).
Some roms have osb (on screen buttons), but you'll have to search for it.
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
If you really want osb then you can use markphytons nxt ics revolution rom. He removed it from xda but you can probably find a link for it somewhere in q&a section

As far as I've experienced, stock ICS is the best!
I'd recommend EOS with OpenSEMC Beta 3 or stock JB with modded kernel for OC.
Stock JB with Forzaferrarileo kernel/Stock GB with DooMKerneL/EOS/CM9.
If you're looking for performance, I'd use Stock JB with DoomKernel to use OC. But, as I see, there's not so much performace differences between Stock JB and other custom roms based on AOSP/CM.

For gaming performance, you can try Trinity ROM & Kernel. But I haven't test it yet, not sure.

I didn't try any custom rom
but for stock rom, JB is the best
.200 and .211 are both great and smooth
u should try trinity's kernel for stock based ROMS not only can u overclock processor but also overclock the 2D and 3D GPU performance.....i played Asphalt 7 and Modern Combat 4 and not a single stutter.
Or try PAC with Kernel 3.4. It is really fast even without OC.
Possibility to overclock CPU/GPU will be included in later releases.
Camera/Torch is working with today's release, but only 8MPX photos for now.
Since Arco has make kernel for android 4.2.2. , that make developer can compile a Custom ROM for us easier. :fingers-crossed:

That ROM is aim for performance ^_^
It does not BASE from CM. but combination..
It just take Arco kernel, and compile the original liquid smooth rom

I am pretty sure the gaming will good too :good:
Try using MArdiadi or hurtsky kernel if u want have a good gaming experience.
