Did anyone experienced the phone storage increasing abnormally after power off or restart but it return back to normal after several restarts or not using the phone for a minute or more?

Hi there,
Phone storage at approx 36MB, all apps possible moved to SD card, available memory seems to fluctuate, seems as if something is eating it. Uninstalled many apps that were not possible to move to SD but problem returns. I remember having well over 100MB free space after flashing the phone with the UK generic rom, did not install much since, nothing that would explain this anyway. Ideas?
Thanks in advance
Edit: Found the problem, Sony's Data Monitor was the culprit, cleared over 70MB of data from there. Funny, was not even working properly...
good for you. my phone got bricked due to the same problem.
my phone suddenly said low on space even thought data monitor and etc2 was off. no other apps were installed. flashed several f/w's with wipe and still low on space. in the end my phone now would not boot at all.
only fastboot, flash mode and boots into se logo :\

Hi guys....so i recently rooted my Note2 4.4.2 stock. Now my SD card is really behaving strangely. Whenever I restart my device, my SD card is not detected. After 2-3 hours it automatically shows up. This happens every time my device fully restarts, though if I do a hot reboot it works fine. Something triggers after 2-3 hours...wht is happening!!
Any help pls
Thanks.
Hi guys, I'm running nAOSP 5.0 on my Xperia S, this morning I have tried to turn off airplane mode but data wasn't working and my phone was stuck on searching for a provider, so I soft rebooted it by pressing power and volume up, but when I turned it on all the apps that I had moved to the external storage weren't available anymore and I couldn't access any file on it. The phone boots fine and there isn't any other problem though, I can install apps to the internal storage but everything on the external one is unavailable. How can I solve this issue?
Thanks a lot in advance
Dear All,
I have the D855 model, purchased in Singapore. Recently, my phone was running low on memory and I received notification that I cannot update the android applications. My phone"s battery was also extremely low. I usually delete a few videos and it would work fine. But this time I did not (was busy). After some time when I tried to check my phone, it was switched off. I plugged in my charger, but it did not boot. It was stuck at the LG logo with the LED changing colors. Since then I never got it to go past the screen. The phone was on stock OS (Lollipop). All my data is on the internal memory as I there was no SD card. I would like to check if I can revive the phone without losing the data stored on my internal memory. I read online about various methods to recover the phone from a boot loop, however, I am not sure about which method to choose. I don't think I can get the phone to download mode.
When I plug the phone into the computer, all I can see is the "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008". The phone sometimes shows the LG logo when the battery is removed for some time and put back in and powered ON. Can somebody point out to me which method can be used to fix a boot loop without losing my data on the internal memory? Is there any way I can extract the data in its present state?
Thank you for reading.

There is no way you can extract data from its current state. If you did nothing and it just started bootlooping and you get the 9008 that's a brick or an really bad hardware failure.
Could still be the battery for the bootloop issue, but I've never seen one with a bad battery show up like that on the computer.
There's an "unbrick" method in the general section you can try it requires some work etc. But all in all your data is gone

Hi Helpers,:fingers-crossed:
have HTC ONE X International / stock rom debloated by denkem // new layout// 22 GB space is full out of 24 gb.
i was using a debloated ROM from Denkem which i found thru xda [ i think ] installed months ago, my phone sometimes lags. will work very slow. if i restart it it will take 4-5 mins may be more. yesterday i decided i will try resurrection rom , so i started taking backup of few apps thru titanium Backup app inside phone memory. as phone was already working slow on top of that phone space further reduced due to backup of apps it became very slow lag of 20-30 seconds once i click anything. So i deleted music and pictures folder and made 2gb space.
Please note : i did not try flashing new recovery or ROM yet. For some reason i tot to restart my phone,.
SINCE then it doest boot.
When i try to do POWER + VOL down , sometimes it does open first screen where it shows LOCKED S-on status HBOOT 1.720000 READING SD CARD OR FAILED TO READ SD CARD .....that is all....it wont go any further. ALSO DURING THIS HBOOT screen if i try to detect it in laptop/ it says USB unrecognised / i tried installing htc driver again but NO meaning. Doest get detected in adb either. i have ADBTOOLKIT .
NOte: when connected to laptop it does show that continous RED light indicating charging.
{FYKI: i have KALI linux, but i am not a pro// incase anyone have a solution which involves linux}
WHAT TO DO NOW ??:cyclops:
Just a thought: Since it says that its unable to read the SD-card, could that indicate that the card is corrupted or broken in any way, and that's why it does not complete the startup/loading...? Have you tried to remove the sd card?
HTC one x doest have a sd card...its has inbuilt memory
