Hi, thinking of getting a Mi Max, but not sure if it's performance would be up to the mark with devices like the Blackberry PRIV or the Nexus 6. PES 2017 is a heavy game and I'd like to make sure that it runs without any problems and lag on the Mi Max. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks

There is no lag on the Mi Max. I never had any lag (except when the first CM13 rom came out before we fixed it) You'll be very happy with the performance of the Mi Max.
No lag at all.
Hm, I think the Mi Max can be laggy at times... wonder why that is?

Hey , I'm about to buy a new smartphone and I'm wondering which smartphone will be the best for 300 bucks.
So what I want is a solid build smartphone ,weight doesn't bother me .A powerful CPU and sufficient RAM for Browsing internet,Watching Youtube, Social Media(Multitasking) and playing occasionnaly some games (asphalt,..) .A good Camera I don't care about low light or recording 4K videos I just want some Good Pictures ,more details and sharpness and accurate autofocus since I will use it for social media. And a durable Battery at least one day without charging !!! ; and a loud speakers not the loudest as the Axon 7 but at least audible.
After many searches I found that the Mi 5s is the best, but I heard that some users have encountered some problems with the fingerprint scanner , 4G connectivity , and battery draining too fast, and Problems with multitasking as the phone had to reload apps everytime , I dunno if it's a problem of some units or general.
But I also found these Smartphones : Leeco Le Pro 3, Leeco Le Max 2, Zuk Z2 , Honor 8 , ASUS Zenfone 3, Meizu Pro6, Huawei Honor V8 , Xiaomi Mi 5 , Zte Nubia 11 ,..., if u know something else in this price range please tell me.
So My Priorities are Performance , Camera , Solid Build , Battery , Audio .
Please Guys , tell me which smartphone can handle my needs ? is Mi 5s better than those listed above ?
PS: My Provider 4G bands are 800/1800/1600 Mhz
Thanks in advance.
I was in the similar position as you. I looked into it and came back with the conclusion that of all the Chinese phones, it's the software which a lot of reviews said was jut not as polished as miui. Coming from a nexus stock Android user experience I was a bit worried, but I was dead wrong. I love miui, it feels very nice. Has a similar notification drawer to LG. There were complaints against the mi5 build quality, so I ended ip with the mi5s (4/32 varient due to low price).
The fingerprint reader isn't as fast and magic as my nexus 5x but it's only a small nigle (I use trusted location). Not had any issues with it and an recommending it to my friends
With future updates miui will be polished more and more no worry...

First I was going to get the oneplus t3 but it's slighty to large. I love the oneplus bcs it's as close to stock android you can come without having to flash your own custom ROMs. But since I want a phone that is 5.0-5.5" I found the Mi 5s as a possible alternative.
questions:
1. Can I easily root this phone and flash a nougat ROM so I can use google play store?
To compare I'm currently on Sprint with a rooted HTC 10 running the VENOM ROM.
2. I'm switching to T-mobile where I was planning on using this the Mi5s. I travel abroad quite a bit, does the mi5s have all the bands for international travel?
3. Anything I would miss from my current HTC 10 or oneplus 3t if I make the switch?
Thanks!!
Xiaomi Mi6 will be released this month, you can wait Mi6.
Hi how can we get development of this going for Oxygen (MI Max 2)
I currently use my Mi Max Prime as my daily driver only because there is nothing for Mi Max 2 (the Lineage OS has bugs like Bluetooth crashing consistently)
Btw, you SHOULD upgrade to Mi Max 2...much superior. I have both
Until, if ever they release a Prime with a SD660 I will never pay to downgrade my 652 to a 625 period.

Why would anyone downgrade to a Mi Max 2?

I LOL so hard when I read this. I have the same view but if you write it on some forums you will receive heavy bashing!
Some people claim the Max 2 to be a MAJOR upgrade due to stereo speakers, other camera and a claimed build quality improvement. CPU? Not important since MIUI is so smooooooth!
Just LOL.
Hi, i'm interested in a potential development for Mi Max 2, being an owner.....
So i'd like to know if it'll soon or later be supported.
Thank you so much.
Downgrade to a 652 to a 625 ?
The max 2 have more ram 4 vs 3, and for me I don't see the difference in use for my prime 652 /3 /64 and my new oxygen 625 / 4 / 64. The only difference I note is the battery life who is hugely different, with my helium it's ok for 1,5 day with the oxygen it's 2.5 / 3 days I never see that before! And I use it a lot bluetooth, 4G and wifi always enabled... youtube, gps in the car, surfing and etc... !
So yes I wait for the resurrection remix too for this device !!!
Sadly still no signs of life here, maybe we'll get lucky when source code will be released ? Hope so...
Maybe instead of asking for it in a Mi Max section, which has nothing in common with Mi Max 2 except a name and size - ask for it on a subforum of such phones as Redmi 4 Prime (SD 625 too), or Redmi Note 4 Pro (SD 625 too) for some port?
Im waiting also [emoji19]

Hi guys, I bought a Xiaomi A2 lite 4gb/64gb two days ago. I would just like to know if this is the standard performance of this device? Playing mobile legends results to a low fps/laggy gameplay even on the lowest settings. Help is appreciated, thank you
Sorry to say, but the SD625 chipset used in this phone isn't made for heavy 3D games.
The Mi Max 3 is such an amazing phone and is still my daily driver since 2018. I have poor wision and the Mi Max 3 is the best device I have ever used in that regard since the 2013 Nexus 7 tablet. Just the right size. Doesn't need to be a flagship or flagship killer. I really wish they produced a Mi Max 4. But it was cancelled. While here, anybody know of any Magisk modules that increase font and icons in the display area for Android in general?
