Superuser mod is a modification to the Java framework in the phone, which enables you to apply changes that would otherwise require a signature verification check,. So, the theme applied in the screen shot, would not apply properly to a device without Superuser mod.
As far as the specifics of this particular file and device, it's been so long that I don't really remember it...

Hi all,
I have 2 questions.
1..
difference between deodexed and odexed?
2..
If my evo is already root and nand unlocked. Do I need to follow toast part 2 every time when I want to install a new rom? Please advise.
Thanks
Jeff
1:
From Berzerker @ droidforums.net found via Google:
Apk files have respective odexes that devs use to supposedly save space. Deodexing means you convert it back to a .dex file and put it back inside the apk. This allows you to easily replace files (not having to worry about odexes), but the main point was to deodex services.jar so that you can change all text to different colors (such as the clock color to white) and to deodex services.jar, you need to deodex everything.

2: No, you don't need to reroot or re-nand-unlock. Once it's done it should be done, unless the ROM is a stock/RUU ROM and removed root, or you've updated over-the-air and the update removed root, or someone screwed up their ROM and made it remove root (people will generally find out and post about the latter ASAP and it will be removed.)
Great,
so what would be the best step? update.zip then apply new rom? or I'm off?

No need to update.zip. If you've already rooted and have nand access, just copy the ROM file to your SD card in it's .zip format (leave it with it's default name so you know what one it is.)
Then turn off the phone, reboot while holding the volume button to get to the menu, then go to recovery.
I always perform a Nandroid backup, especially if you're at a "default" ROM right after root/nand. So Nandroid, then go to wipe and just move down the list wiping everything. Then go back to the first menu, select Flash Zip file from SD Card, select the ROM you want to flash, let it go, and reboot.
Edit: Oh yeah, make sure you remove that PC36IMG.zip file from the SD card before doing any of this.
Awesome!
One more questions,
What is OTA update? I think I'm supposed to update to 1.47.651.1?
and radio update for 2.05.00.06.10 WiMax update?
guys something i did in xposed of z1compact and the ....3 down keys aren't there....home button, back button....

which modules?
Xposed framework modules
That is called the Navigation Bar. If you had made a backup of your ROM, it may be easier to just restore that backup and try again.
nothing

The xposed framework comes with no modules. After installing the framework, you would then get module APK's (from wherever) and install them. Then you'd have to go into Xposed to enable those modules. Check the modules you grabbed and disable them (then reboot) to see if it brings your nav bar back.

I go in xposed installer.. Then modules.. There (in modules) there is only the Xperia xposed kk and I uncheck... Reboot.... And the navigation bar there isn't there
Did you do another customization requiring root other than xposed ? I don't think xposed is guilty here. It is built to be able to go back unharmed.

No... If I do restore phone??
If you don't have a backup, the faster way is to put yourself in flash Mode and flash a new ftf file with flashtool.
But you will loose everything on your phone.
I find it

I looked in history of downloaded apps.. And I found softkey enable.... And I enable and all it's ok... Thank you for your help and your time
Nice to hear. Think about making backup, especially when doing theme customization. I don't remember how many times I lost everything this way.
As title say, it is possible?
I prefer Cyanogenmod or DstrikerZ1.

Rootswitch: works fine on stock based Roms.
ISU: works on CyanogenMod based roms
Use those without any issue. U just need to click the button Everytime to TEMP unroot and back again.
I tried Rootswitch on DstrikerZ1, it doesn't work. When I click the switch, it returns to enabled position :/

See if the log says something about it.
I was on dstrikerz1 004 ROM and used that method (version 3.2.*) till yesterday without any issues.
The script that are used to get it working can be found inside the app. If u execute them directly from a command prompt u can see what the errors are and correct them if necessary. Just make sure u have a system backup with root.
Ok, I will check it.
Do you use any custom kernel? I installed dstriker via aroma without flashing it as tutotial says. I have unblocked bl if you ask.

It doesn't have anything to do with the kernel or the bootloader.
The script should change the name of the "su" binarys, and back again. If stops if it can't do something. But now is the question, what stops the script from running.
Ok, the /system directory (or partition, whatever) is read-only and I can't force it to be rw with app from google play, indeed I don't got access to any recovery.
Maybe is there an option in ROM to modify it?

Sound more like, u don't have a correct working superuser installed.
It was preinstalled with DstrikerZ1, when my phone charge I will try to analyze the issue.
Ok, I had working PokemonGO to today, now due to Safetynet changes it doesn't work. Probably kernel needs some changes, do you know an fix?
I request you @Tulsadiver to Port night light on our devices. Whenever you are free. I have attached framework ,systemui and settings files of Mi A1.

I haven't been porting it, just enabling it. I don't know if your phone is capable but you are welcome to try flashing this this.
Edit:. Here is a stab at the animated pixel navbar if anyone is interested in trying it to see if it works and 3Minit battery
Edit:. Remember to install 3minit app before flashing 3minit zip!
anyone tried?
How should I flash the zip?? I have flashfire installed & if the night mode it enabled have you created any switch to toggle on & off??

Should work with flashfire or TWRP. No toggle other than the one in the qs toggles.
So the toggle will be there in QS right... Let me try flashing it now.
Flashed it via FLASHFIRE can't find any night light switch in the QS neither the option to enable or disable it.

Look in display, in settings...you might need systemui tuner activated...and BusyBox installed prior to flashing
1. Checked that the system ui tuner was enabled.
2. Installed busybox via Google play store & made it run smart install. Restarted the phone.
So now after these 2 steps I have to flash your zip file for night mode to be enabled. But can you explain me 1 or 2 more steps so that I don't keep you busy.

I'm the one keeping you busy at the moment, lol. Maybe flashfire is the problem. I don't have your phone and cannot test. See if there is a folder called ozop on your sdcard. If there is at least we know it installed. Here is a systemui.apk that should have full systemui tuner.
Anyone using trwp try any of these?

Okay, that is a restore zip that is created after flashing. If you care to, flash the full systemui tuner and see if you have navbar and remove brightness options in tuner.
I will tell you what..I am gonna flash back to stock ROM today 1st & then root it. Please give me the correct steps to check all the things you require me to have before hand. Apps such as flashfire will be there. Should I download busybox from playstore ?? N I did try flashing the system ui tuner. I don't see any changes in the setting of the UI tab.

Before you do anything like that, I based this off of a system dump n2g47h.7.10.14. just so you know. TWRP would be better than flashfire, and flash the BusyBox I uploaded, not anything from playstore.
Systemui tuner should be easiest but for sure you should see something different you you flash the pixel animation. Just flash one at a time so you can flash the restore zip if there is a problem. Doesn't always work, but usually. After flashing full tuner and/or pixel animation, pull your systemui.apk and upload it so I can see if it was applied.
The thing is, this is very similar to my Nexus 5x when it was on 7.1.2. These went through my Aroma installer generator without much a a hitch. Just not sure why nothing is working.
Edit:. Flashfire doesn't work. Someone with TWRP needs to try these.

What were your steps?
It worked! Used files provided by @jimmy123322 . I'm sure mod from @Tulsadiver will also work. But there is some problem with flashing. Files don't flash using twrp. So I manually pushed framework-res.apk to respective folder. Here's what I did
1-Installed fx and fx root apps from play store.
2-Downloaded zip provided by @jimmy123322 .
3-extracted framework-res.apk using fx.
4-Copied framework-res.apk to framework folder (but did not overwrite).
5-renamed framework-res(1).apk to original name.
6-Rebooted
And night light is working! Thanks to everyone for helping.

Hi!
Im trying to figure out how to make a flashable zip to flash after a rom update so apps that I want to install in sytstem/apps can be automatically be flashed from the recovery instead of manually copying them using a file manager. Is there some one that can help me in this?

I have a script I run after each flash, but I currently only use it to delete apks. Perhaps you can use it as a base, I think you need the function "package_extract_file" (it's commented out in my script, I used it to overwrite a GPS config).
My zip is attached, the file to look into is in meta-inf/com/google/android and is called update_script.
Just play around with it, you can just put it back into the zip and flash it in twrp.

Look at loads of updater scripts. Learn the commands they use.
Pick some relevant for your needs.
Then use them.
You will get errors. There will be screw ups but eventually it all starts working.
There's no other good way really that's how I learned how to use updater-scripts.
