i have my new nova+ phone and it's realy a nice one ( before i uses Ascend P7 ), i got it with emui 4.1 (android 6.0).
I have downloaded an OTA update (1st one) for it sised 476 Mb ( fix for 6.0 only)
but it prompt me for another OTA update for android 7.0 ( 2 files with 2,26 Gb of sise )
Here my version number " L11-C185B332 " after update, and the OTA update region is for meaf/naf.
before applying updates, i have copied the 2 files for further use if needed, here their name:
1- update_data_full_MLA-L11_hw_meafnaf.zip (592 Mb)
2- update.zip (1,68 Gb)
there isn't any other updates ??

Hi, i have an huge problem.
i can't upgrade any firmware through the dload method.
I always see the error: Version list verify fail.
I tried starting from the b102,b226,b229 and everytime i have the same problem. My splashscreen ( oemlogo ) is deleted and now i see a white image, not the huawei logo.
I can't upgrade with the official method and i can't use the intermediate pack, i see the same version list verify fail ! HELP !
Your ascend p1 is oem locked like mine (tim) and you can't upgrade through official firmwares because of it.
Now there's no way to debrand it but you can install cwm recovery and flash the firmware you want downloading one of these zips :

So I got my p6 not long ago, and i figured that the android version is still 4.2.2 jelly bean. The EMUI is also 1.6 still with firmware B116.
I want to know which one is best to update first as I am still quite new to the whole android system.
Which one should I update first to prevent issues on my phone?: the android version to kitkat or the EMUI?
Also, does updating the android version change the firmware?

Updating the android does upgrade the emui and changes the firmware too. Strarting from B10x to B132 firmwares are running android jellybean 4.2.2 with emui version 1.6, from B506 to B508x are firmwares with android kitkat 4.4.2 and emui 2.0 (but these are Chinese ones), from B510 to B521 are kitkats with emui 2.3 (international ones) and from B704 and above are kitkats with emui 3.0 (both chinese and international can be found).

I have a M2 801L - I recently upgraded the Firmware to Marshmallow on EMUI 4.0 using a guide (I would have posted a link but not sure if allowed on this forum)
I used the Mediapad M2 [M2-801L] B205 file.
My M2 8.0 is now running Marshmallow 6.0 on EMUI 4.0
Questions:
1. Can anyone suggest a suitable or best Rooting method with a Nougat custom rom update?
2. If I Root and Update my M2 what is the possibility of rolling back to either the original Lollipop version or Official Marshmallow OS?
3. How easy is it to Root and Update it to Nougat?
4. How easy is it to rollback from a rooted Nougat F/W to original official stock lollipop or marshmallow?
Also, now when I go to Settings > Update > Menu >
I seem to be missing the option for Local Update.
Having said that, what are my options in rolling back now that I am missing the Local Update option?
I'm trying to update my ZF2 ZE551ML to Android 6 (M).
The bootloader is TWRP.
I first successfully flashed the latest Android L firmware: ULZ00A-WW-2.20.40.206-user.zip .
I then tried to flash the M firmware ULZ00A-WW-4.21.40.352-user.zip but I'm getting an error message that the firmware needs to be updated to Android L above a certain version (2016) or to M.
Any suggesitons?
