Works as expected nothing worth mentioning.
1.5amp screen on, 2.5amp screen off
The charging times are fairly quick. I have nothing to complain. Good battery backup and decent charging time makes a good combo.
The original charger is good enought but someone tried to use something faster (more mAh or quick charge?)
i tried a QC3.0 charger and it gives the same results as the original charger. between 0% en 80% 1.5Ah screen on and 2.5Ah Screen off.
It supports quickcharger 3.0 according to specs has someone tried using it??? Any difference in charging speed.... I was considering buying one.... But not sure if they are worth it.... So could someone kindly share their experience with qc 3.0 chargeing..... Thanks in advance
fast compared to other same range phones.
1:40/50 mins to full charge.
charging speed is awesome

How much time taken for it
Should i buy a quick charger for zuk z2
no need. The charge power is limited to 12.5W for any changer.
I have seen higher speed till 80% and charging speed slows down a lot between 80 to 100%.
Between 0-80% it charge at an average rate of 1-1.5% min (screen off) where as after 80% the time to charge 1% keeps increasing.
Slowest is from 95-100%. There it takes several min to push 1% compare to upto 2% every min when charging below that 80% marker.
I am using the stock charger.
Charging speed is very good. Its about 1% per minute.

I don't know about the UCH10, but I know with my Powergen charger I see it going into HV (fast charge) mode. (The charger I have has an indicator for when it's in 9v mode).
However, I have noticed this device's thermal throttling is pretty aggressive. You need to let the thing idle if you expect it to charge at any reasonable rate thanks to the Snapdragon 810 being a power hog.
Confimed the UCh10 charger fast charge working
Only got 13% from 1% for 15mins
What happened!!
Mine came with the UCH10 charger and am using my short Sony usb cable that came with my headset (EC300). I went from 4% to 100% in 1 hour and 35 mins. At the end of the day with my bluetooth headset and smart watch conneted all day (12 hours) moderate use emails, mms, calls. I have about 42% remaining. It only seams to be getting better with each charge. Today it went from 5% to 100% in 1 hour and 22 mins.
Perheps Sony's fast charging is to speed up overall charging at a faster rate. As i was from Note 5, its charging takes only 10 mins to jump from 5% to 38%!!
Perheps they are both using different fast charging tech?

Both are using the same under different names. Samsung named it "Adaptive fast charging" and the rest use qualcomm's name "Quick charge".
For example mine is in the box with standard 1.5 normal charger, but I am using the charger from my dead note 4 (yes it is a quick charger one) which is charging z5p at the same speed like my note 4. Also I am monittoring the charge rate, and I can confirm that samis Adaptive charger charging at max using qualcomm's quick charge standard our z5p devices.
Edit:
If note 5 charging so fast it must be another tech from Samsung (or wrong battery stats - believe me I experienced these few times on my note 4 during flashing AOSP roms).
Cheers
Edit 2:
I can remember that note 4 when stock (tw) is charging much more aggressively during initial charge (upto around 50%, and then it just slow down), while AOSP is fast charging constantly (lower rate compared to samis stock tw rom) but use quck charge upto 90-95%.. It is a setting at the end. Yoi can force set this with custom kernel.

On Quick Charge, it's fast. On a older computer, it's painfully slow. In my car, on a standard charger, it's not too bad. I just bought a QC 3.0 charger for my car and it'll charge about 30% in my 35 minute drive home (have to test that some more).

I would double check the charger port and make sure your plugging into the QC 3.0 port, and not the 2.0A port (not sure if yours has one as well or not) my Axon 7 charges about 45-50% in my 25 minutes ride home so It doesnt sound like its charging quite as fast, unless its QC2.0

Have tried to push the battery as hard as I can while charging at the same time. The phone won't stall or drop charge thankfully. Gets a little hot but nothing like other phones I've owned (Nexus 6P would boil, OnePlus one would slowly drop battery until it died, iPhone 5s would get too hot to touch, HTC M7 would also become too hot to touch and unresponsive). If you're wondering if you can use this phone with GPS, Bluetooth, Wifi Hotspot, Data, Spotify while charging at the same time you can.
B27 A2017U, From 37% to 95% in 45 minutes. 5 minutes of screen and one 5 min call during charging. I won't use fast charge often because I don't need it, battery health is more important to me.
Charging speed is very fast. Battery life is great. I usually have ~20% left after running it from about 6AM to 11PM. I did misconnect the charger dongle one night, and so was at 11% starting the day. I switched to ultra power saving mode and was at 10% at the end of the day!?!
Charging speeds tbh are fairly decent. On QC 3.0 i get about 95% in about 1 hour. Nothing compared to Dash charge on the OP3, that method is insanely fast. To compare OP3's 3000 mah takes about 40~45 minutes to top off. Considering the additional 250maH on the Axon, i think the 1 hour approx charging time is good. I suppose once you get the taste of Dash charging, QC becomes less palatable
P.S. Axon's power saving mechanisms are actually quite good. No need for any 3rd party apps. I don't miss Greenify considering the background apps get killed when the screen goes off. So battery life being decent is a good trade off.
I've been impressed by the charging speed. It's close to the Moto X Pure that I loved.
I've personally never had a phone that had any type of quick charge until this phone, so I'm certainly impressed.
Hello
Question: is QC3 a killer of battery? Is charging at low amp better, or...? Cuz I read here and there that it's still better to use a slow speed charging device so that the battery doesn't heat up and doesn't wear off too fast.
What are your thoughts about that?

If you charge it before you sleep, I would use a charger with a lower am so it can prolong the battery's life. Using quick charge 3.0 is convenient, but it will certainly decrease the battery's life over a period of time.
Before bed: Not recommended to use another adapter to charge any phone that didn't come with it, but I would use a different adapter with a slower charging rate and voltage.
When you're about to go out or etc: Quick charge 3.0

I use the Aukey charger. I have 2 portable QC3 and one "traditional" QC3 also. And I forgot which brand but a good one as a slow speed charger.
I thought that QC3 was different than the "old" high speed charger because it had something to do directly with the SnapDragon. The "old" high speed chargers are just sending more amps like 2A or more, while QC3 is more "controlled" so it didn't affect the battery. Am I totally wrong?
Has anyone noticed their charging time increase by 10-20 minutes or so? Could be my imagination as I also have an op3 now..

Probably your imagination. Dash charge is much faster that QC. If your phone's charging up in an hour it's fine.

Oh yes absolutely. I came from an OP3 to Axon. It's the only thing I miss about the OnePlus 3. And the ROM. And the front finger print scanner. And updates.
On a more serious note, Dash charge is really fantastic. As advertised. 3000 mAh takes 40 to 45 mins, but the most important feature is that it doesn't heat the phone up and using the OP3 while charging is a better experience.
Nice
I think QC3 is already pretty fast, so... Charging low speed when I'm not in a rush, following some (your?) advices here.
I had ordered a 1+3 and canceled when I saw the Axon7, but I had also a Dash Charger on the way and couldn't cancel that one. Too bad they're two different technologies
The 1+3T is... nice

Yeah i absolutely hate the existence of the op3t cause it has everything that op3 didn't. And yeah don't use the dash charger with anything else unless you like watching things getting smoked up.

I don't trust it to keep the battery in good condition over a long time. So I use a normal charger instead.

Charging speed is amazing. Honestly the quickest charge out of any piece of technology I have ever used. The battery life you get from the amount of time you take to charge is absolutely phenomenal.
What charger are you using?
I'm not using the OEM Google Pixel charger and just using a Samsung Fast Charger, and when connected the Pixel indicates "slow charge".

It slow like molasses in d winter, compared to any quick charge 2.0 devices
It depends on how much you discharge the battery. If really low, it will charge 0-25 quickly. 25-50 about the same as a Quick Charge port. 50-75, about the same as a standard USB charging port (1.5A). 75-100, it tapers off and by 90% charges no faster than plugging into a USB data port (500 mA).
So, if you charge when you can and don't let it get below 50%, it's no faster than any other phone, and any standard USB-A charger will provide what it can use.

Best battery life I've ever had!!!
so nice
I must say, while battery life is exceptional, the charge time is not up to part with my S6. I forget what the maH was on the S6, but the S8+ doesn't charge as fast.

Mine is good
Why doesn't it support Quick Charge 4.0?
Charging speed on my s8+ is very fast. I don't mind that they didn't use fast charge 4.0 or 3.0 or 10.0, that's their choice and all I can do is look at the actual charging speed and not on the technology behind it and in my opinion it is very fast.
Compared to my Moto z force it's nowhere near as good. In half an hour the s8+ would be at around 40 while the z force is at around 60. What do you expect though from a 5amp charger. Just wish Samsung could've integrated the fast charge that the z force has.
its fast charge for the size of the battery
app "Ampere" from PlayStore tells me fast charging feeds it more than 1200mAh consistently
battery lasts more than a day
happy with the Plus
Nothing compares to the Mate 9 and it's Super Charging. 0 to 90 in less than an hour ?
You are right, that's an amazing feat for a piece of hardware
We are behind... a bit with our 8s
Best battery life

Don't depend that app just read the manual and observe your phone.
Can you recommend an alternative?
Yesterday I charged my s8+ with the original fast charger and the original cable and it took 1 hour and 34 mins to charge from 1% to 100% and today I tried charging with the original charger of my s5 and it took 1 hour and 48 mins from 1% to 100%.
This is it? Only about 15 mins difference? 1 hour and 34 mins is quick but the difference between fast charging and regular charging with a normal charger isn't big at all.
AQI7 update had really made things fabulous.
Better standby and faster wireless charging compared to earlier ones.
And QC 3.0 charger charged my S8+ from 12-100 in 1hr 30min
Sammy Finally switched to USB C!! Battery charges considerably faster than the S7 when using an aftermarket 2.4 amp charger.
Will be
SOmetimes it might be the phone of the century

They need to step it up to 12v 25w at a minimum. It's not terrible as it is, but knowing how much better it could be is a bit of a kick in the shin... especially considering the expense and the fact it's supposed to represent the best of the Galaxy line.
It's good, yet still somehow disappointing.

Considering the competition offers must faster charging, Samsung should let us charge at 25W just like the s10 5G variant will be able to.
It's actually slow as FF. Charging this device (especially with screen on) is a nightmare. During the day, with auto brightness and mostly bright environment hitting ~15-20% in 30 minutes. That's ridiculous.
My moto x pure edition 2015, charges with turbo charge quicker than this s10+ fast charge.
I'm happy with the charging speed, fast enough to charge and not too fast to deplete the battery life!

Same here 1.5hr or less for a 4000+ mhz battery is satisfactory.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro used to charge from 5% to 100% in 50 minutes, but the overall performance is still far from S10plus. I struggled to get 8+ hours SOT without standby on the Mate 20Pro, whereas with the S10 Plus ive had a steady 9hrs and even achieving 12hrs SOT and 20hrs standby.
I can charge my S10+ running the AT&T firmware here with a LG fast charger in 1 hour 24 minutes coming from 19%
Recently i purchased Samsung 25w charger but its take same time like bundle 15w charger
what's better for the battery, shorter charge/less heat from 50% or 1 1/2 hour full charge from 20%?
what's better or does it make a difference?
1. recharge battery when 50%?
2. recharge battery when 20%?
