Isn't fast as other phones with same hardware. My LG Flex 2 is much faster.

Super fast on stock UI, super fast on AOSP UI. What else I have to say

Snapdragon 820 with 4GB RAM and a really fast storage. Nothing comes close unless spending 3 times for similar spec hardware

It is as fast as any other SD820, your G Flex 2 has an overheating 810 and is laggy as fuc.

Talk for yourself not for others.

after using A7000 I'd say it's much faster and performance is top notch, but there is always something better in Android environment, and new SOC comes with futuristic design and performance enhancements , so if you wanna buy a phone under 20k go for it.

App loading times are great in AEX 5.0 dec 18 update. Will install AEX 5.1 after a few days. Fastest so far i would say, better than Galaxy S7 at a pocket friendly price.

snapdragon 808

you think LG decision to put 808 instead 810 was successful?
808 s Fast enough , and no heating up issues
Not entirely.. It can still heat up somewhat and it defintely suffers in the speed department. With extended use the Snap 810 CPU's do perform worse, but something like the Galaxy S6 pretty much stomps. It's a better choice than the 810, but considering it's their flagship phone for the year I think they could've done better.
Yes. No heat here at all.
Depends on what you use the phone for.
Gaming? I wouldn;t even consider the G4. GPU is on the weaker end and it puts a massive strain on the phone.
General use? You're solid. In my usage it never heats up.
G4 will heat up if that google photo is syncing. And running multi tasks with Chrome Beta too. Well I just got a G Flex 2 H959 OTA 5.1.1 its seem to solve the heating issue and faster than my G4 with 2GB. Too many background system apps are running on G4 as compare to G Flex 2.

I'm pretty sure it's among the best in terms of performance (top 5 atm). Anything with a Snap 810 will perform worse for gaming after playing 5-10 minutes, simply because it heats up so much the performance drops significantly.
At worst my G4 heats up to around 45 degrees Celsius, which is more than touchable. But most of the time it tops out at about 41 or so degrees.

Zenfone-2 or ZUK-Z1 ??

Need to buy a decent Dual Sim phone asap - have narrowed it down to either the Zenfone or the new ZUK...
They are both quite similar in price and spec except:
ZUK has USB-C and a bigger battery (which is a major plus for me!) - however it has no Band 20 support...
Zenfone2 has more RAM, MicroSD, NFC, FM Radio - however 2nd Sim is only 2G and it seems to have crappy battery life...
What should I buy?
who told you asus zenfone2 has got crappy battery life? phone has got fast charge and decent battery life. unless you don't leave your phone alone all the time i am getting almost 5 hours SOT. so which is better than most of phone on market. also asus zenfone2 ml551 fastest and smoothest phone I have ever seen so far(samsung s6,edge,iphone 6,htc m7 etc) so if you think what you paid for asus zenfone2 it is a brilliant device...

Sorry i forgot to say. i guess asus zenfone2 has got better support than Lenovo zuk z1
I would go for ZUK Z1, I think Intel and android is a bad combination IMO, heating and battery drain is causing me trouble. But overall Zenfone 2 is a great phone, very smooth. Great camera (beats the Zuk Z1 in camera) but the Z1 seems to have latest hardware like the USB Type-C and also supports fast charging and has a bigger battery too! And not to mention the fingerprint scanner. It is also backed by lenovo.
So for now it is better to go to ZUK Z1.

There are some negative reports about WI-FI signal strength and speed on Lenovo phone, look around for test and report before you make a final decision.
No heating for me.. Battery is manageable. I'm using the 551 with 4GB ram and 64GB storage. Lenovo support sucks balls and as far as i know storage is limited in the Zuk. Fingerprint and looks would be the advantages of the Zuk. But if you're a power user, you'd enjoy the Asus more.
I'm not a big fan of the looks of the Z1 from what I've seen of it. In terms of power, it gets 43000 on Antutu, so roughly somewhere between the 1.8ghz and 2.3ghz Zenfone 2 551 (about the same as the 550, but that gains from only pushing 720p) - similar enough to the zenfones not to matter really then, both around the level of last gen flagships. Fingerprint scanner and bigger battery are nice plus points over the Zenfone, but Zenfone has more RAM and SD Card slot. If you need data on sim 2, then you really have to get the Z1. If not, then I think it's entirely down to personal preference and cost. Are they similarly priced?
for me i would go with the Z1.
I was debating the same thing. I went with the Zenfone 2 in the end. It was cheaper (even the Z3580 4GB model), there's an active developer scene, and it looks as if ASUS will support it for a bit longer still. Oh and the main reason was that it has LTE / 4G band 20.
The Z1 looks like it won't support band 20 yet, but maybe someone comes up with some form of solution, who knows.
After having used the Zenfone 2 for a week or so now I think I could have lived with the Z1 not having LTE band 20 and the slightly higher price. The custom ROM scene will start up at some point probably, and until then you have a fully supported Cyanogen OS 12.1 with an update to 13 coming soon.
If you care about having a 2 day battery life instead of 1 day with normal use, the answer is Z1 as well.

One of the snappiest phones I've used. On par, or better than the Nexus 6p.
The 820 chipset seems like a decent boost coming from the 801
Does not lag at all

I do experience lag. It's not as snappy as I would expect. https://community.zteusa.com/thread/12239
I recently returned my Note 7 with all bloat disabled I could manage to get lag and skipped frames every few seconds... the Axon 7 is much faster, with almost zero lag during everyday use.
I've had it a little over 36 hours.. This thing is blazing fast AND more importantly, SMOOTH. Transitions don't feel like knee jerk reactions.. When you press the home button or recent button to me it feels like the phone said "I was already beginning to do that."
I was previously using a note 4 (Samsung, it's funny how I have to clarify this as there are several other note devices from other oems now!) And this axon 7 runs laps around my note 4 regardless if my phone was on touchwiz rom, stock, rooted, overclocked, custom Rom, aosp Rom... Still axon 7 smoking my note 4..
Best thing about the phone for me is that I can put it through some heavy usage without it becoming a mini furnace in my hand. Coming from a Oneplus One and Nexus 6p which both had issues where once the phone got hot it seemed to slow down a lot, the Axon 7 hasn't had this issue. Not sure if it'll suffer the same if it does get hot but so far I haven't had any slowdowns due to excessive heat.
I notice on my phone that it thermal throttles a lot. Unless it's cool at around 30 degrees or cooler, it won't hit 2.15 ghz and will generally top around 1.5 on the high speed cores. My antutu scores range from 70k to 140k.
Coming from a LG G4 H812, this phone is pure unadulterated butter! Android doesn't get any smoother than this. Absolutely no complains about overall performance.

How does it compare to the n7.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using XDA-Developers mobile app
Compared to my previous phone with a Snapdragon 801...the Axon is a rocket.
device speed is fantastic, performance is been off the charts .
I used to have an Honor 8. Compared to Honor 8 it is a little bit slower
However I haven`t seen any phone as fast as Honor 8
Been enjoying mine. It's fast at anything device based. Once you go online the network can make it lag but no phone can help that. I'd like to have a play with an SD835 or Kirin 970 device but suspect I wouldn't feel so much benefit compared to coming from my Mate 7 and Find 7 up to the Axon 7.
Interested to see what ZTE bring to the market with the replacement of the 7.

No lags and stutters in day to day usage!
I never waited for any application to be loaded or executed.
my lag has been terrible since my upgrade to 7.0 and above
This phone is as smooth as butter

Reset ur phone
I haven't yet. But perhaps I'll give it a shot. I just doubt it will improve performance as the issue appears to be RAM management related. The updates allowed more ram to be accessed and keeps more apps resident in memory. However this comes at the cost of performance.

android version
You have to make some tweaks to OS but overal I am completely satisfied with speed of my Yoga Book (windows 10 version). Boots up super fast, system is fluid and performance in general is pretty good - as a joke I have tried Guild Wars 2 it runs 20-22fps :silly:
Hi,
What tweaks have you do?
windows version works very smoothly on the latest windows version
Hi, which is the best in 2020? android or windows version?
