Was given back my Nexus 7 (2013) tablet and was thinking about updating it. Currently rooted running on a 4.4.4 rom (purity). Is there any new basebands/modems that I need to flash/update before flashing a 5.1.1 or higher rom? Would appreciate any pointers, thanks in advance!

Hi, I was looking to update my Nexus 7 2013 Wifi to Paranoid Android's recent RC1 update with 4.4.3. I'm currently running an old build from May so I'm still on 4.4.2.
Before I update to PA RC1, I want to have the latest bootloader from 4.4.3, but I can't find it anywhere. Could anyone provide a link? I'd appreciate it very much.
That's because there was no bootloader update, it's still using 04.02 which was first released with KOT49E/4.4.1

That would explain why I found nothing, thank you.

In the future, if you ever need to obtain the latest bootloader (or any older bootloader), you can always download the factory image for the version you're looking for and extract it from the zip.
Hello friends, please get to this.I bought Nexus 7 2013 LTE model and its on 4.3.1 update and the wifi speed is awfully slow.I read that an update to 4.4 would solve it so I have hit up developers website of Google to download the factory image for my nexus 7.I should actually be downloading Factory Images "razorg" for Nexus 7 [2013] (Mobile), not WIFI and then 4.4 or higher version, right?
Please help me guys.
Thank you!

Yes, download razorg image.
4.4.3 is last version for your device.
Hi guys, I have an SM-T525 LTE and I cannot get the stock ROM to boot. I am sure this is because I installed a marshmallow MODEM, Kernel or some other thing. I can get CM12 Lollipop to boot but Kitkat will not boot at all. Can someone please link either a Lollipop modem or give me some help getting this back up and running? I've never had this trouble and have also had a Galaxy Tab A and a Note 3 which I've installed plenty of different ROMs and Kernels on with no issues.
Many thanks guys!!!

Never mind! After having a mini heart attack, a data wipe/reset in recovery after flashing the firmware got it to boot! Thank goodness!
Guy, i have an old 5x laying aroynd, i tried to upgrade it to 8.0 from 6.0.1 , but its not updating, please help me what should u do ? Can i manually update or not ? Or can i root it on 6.0.1 and directly install custom rom ? Guidance will be highly appreciated. Thanks
Hi all,
In the past I have rooted my Galaxy note 4, Nexus 7, Nexus 4, etc with no problem and installed cyanogenmod and other roms. However, I do not recall to be worried about the firmware version of each rom, I can see a lot of roms here that needs a specific firmware version, my question is:
If I update the firmware for a specific time, may I downgrade it if I want to roll back to the old rom after a while? Is there any risk to brick my device by running different firmware version than the one to the rom? What exactly is inside the firmware?
Thank you in advance
