Hello. I have an issue with my, and my girlfriends, Htc 10. They are both the sprint variant, but we are not using sprint. I have flashed maximus hd custom rom on one (fully updated sprint ruu first), and a clean stock rom on the other. THe only reason I flashed them was for gsm data to work.
I have issue while on my house and other wifi networks. While in facbook app and trying to watch a video, it starts, then pauses to buffer after a couple seconds, plays for about 30 seconds then buffers again. I tried turning of wifi and streaming on LTE. Every other video I wached played instantly with no buffering.
I can do a speed test on wifi and it comes out good, at 13Mbs downstream, 2Mbs upstream (my wifi speed). My LTE speed is less, and works better.
I also have issue with delayed loading of photos on facebook and other apps while on wifi.
Could this be an issue from using normal htc10 rom instead of sprint variant? I hope not. I am pretty sure we are both on latest radio. I updated one of them over wifi to latest version of sprint software, and the other by ruu, before we started to use them.

Ok, I have seen this on 2.3.5 builds of CM7, Deck's ROM and OMFGB. What is going on with wifi on 2.3.5? It's causing some kind of wakelock apparently. Look at the right hand side of the battery graph and compare the "awake" to "wifi" time. I had my wifi to sleep when the screen turns off, so it went away when wifi was turned off. But then if I connect to wifi again with the screen off, it causes wakelock. Is this a known issue? I have tried googling and can't find anything about this. Surely I can't be the only one.
On Sense roms I can leave my wifi sleep policy as "never" and it doesn't cause any issues.
I'm using the CM7 nightly build 180 (2.3.5). I'm using Tiamat Kernel SBC. My WIFI sleep policy is set to never. It's been unplugged for about 8 hrs 45 minutes and connected to my WIFI. It's been on standby for the most part and it's at 99%.
WiFi totally unrealiable on the AT&T Atrix 2 (MB865)

I too am seeing all sorts of issues with WiFi on my Atrix2 (MB865) which is also running Android 2.3.5. As a matter of fact, I have TWO of these, because my wife got one also, and it has the same problems. To be specific, both phones will drop 128Kbps streams and fall back to 24Kbps, if the alternate slower speed is offered. This constant dropping of audio stream is the most annoying problem, but the phone also will spontaneously disable WiFi. After manually re-enabling, it can take up to a minute to reconnect to the AP (the happens at home and at work).
When connected, a speed test might show something like ~100Kbps down. But disabling and reconnecting a few times will help get it back to a good ~20Mbps down again. Sometimes when connected ad showing a FULL STRENGTH WiFi status icon, I am still not able to get any data whatsoever, just as if the WiFi is not even enabled. Examining this with WiFi Analyzer shows that it detects no AP's whatsoever, even while the status icon shows a FULL STRENGTH connection. Again, disabling/enabling can correct this issue.
Just to prove it's not my home AP, I have an old HTC Hero running a CM7 nightly build from 9/1/11 kernel 2.6.29-6 (which is also Android 2.3.5).
My old HTC Hero connects quickly/flawlessly and holds a constants steady 128Kbps stream all day without fail.
Why can't these carriers (AT&T in this case) put out a reliable Android build. I can't help it, but my paranoid mind makes me think it could be purposefully done to force customers to use precious bytes form their costly data plans. They certainly would have no incentives to make WiFi work efficiently.
Anybody got an ETA on CM7 for this phone?

KenB
I rooted a T989. Flashed CyanogenMod 10.1. The phone call audio is very choppy. But people can hear me just fine. The data is also weird, its constantly rotating between 3g, H*, and DC. Sometimes changing every few seconds. On the stock ROM it was 4g all the time.
I've tried different kernels and radios. Im gonna try other roms now.
Can someone give me some advice?
For the call audio I suggest you to flash the new Jelly Bean radio: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2226835
Also the data is completely normal to do that. Stock ROM couldn't display what other data it's using at the current moment because it only has one image to display (which happens to be 4G
Hope this helped
I talked to a TMO support person a while back, and it was explained to me that TMO no longer has 3G. They only have 4G (which isn't a true 4G LTE network but rather a "sped-up" 3G network) and EDGE (2G). This is probably why we no longer see 3G on the stock TW ROM's. Also, many of the custom ROM's (other than a modified TW ROM) have versions that are used on AT&T and Verizon which still use 3G.
As far as the choppy voice, I'd try flashing the appropriate radio like the other person suggested.
Hope this sheds some light.
Can't do speedtest (Network Communication Issues--TRY AGAIN)
Can't browse the internet (Unable to connect)
Can't play internet games ( Dragonplay poker,etc...)
Ok, this happens every now and then even when I have 4g with all my bars mainly when I get to work and starts back working maybe 1hr or 2hrs later (when I'm home I mostly use wifi but my mobile/gps works). I try to test it by trying to see my speed on the speedtest app but does nothing. Even tried the "faster fix" method and it doesn't work. Tried the S3 method with tightening the screws but they were already tight. Cleared AGPS and updated AGPS, loads up 20 something in use and finds GPS but still not working.
My area doesn't have LTE yet but the surrounding areas (mainly 2 hrs away has it). Call Tmo but hell they don't know if there doing any work in my area or not. Just kind of strange..I been here at work for 3 hrs now and haven't start up yet but still showing 4g with 2 bars now. Yesterday it took about 1hr maybe, then boom starts working (playing games, browsing, speedtest). Just trying to see has anyone else came across this issue and fixed it. I also read other users returning the phone to get another and only to find out it happens on it the new one too. Not sure if its a hardware issue or software cause verzion, att, and sprint also has this issue
Phone is rooted and have Alpha 5 with baseband MDL. APN seems to be like every other TMO US LTE (fast.t-mobile.com and other settings). Network Mode: LTE/GSM/WCDMA (auto connect) selected..GPS on Mobile on...
I just moved over to the One from the S3. I am running Google Edition Plus tiKtaK. The problem I am having is that when I am streaming radio on TuneIn Radio it drops constantly. It says it is on LTE and I am on the same areas that I usually used the S3 without any drops at all. I am wondering if there are other radio firmware options and if that will even make a difference.
A custom ROM for a phone that's only been out for 6 months and built for a specific network is naturally gonna have problems. If you want a perfectly functioning radio, stay on a Verizon 4.3 based Sense ROM.
I searched and found no other person mention my issue on our forum.

Tried stock T-Mobile 4.4.2, tried every T-Mobile ROM, and every aosp all give me the same result as when i noticed it using X-note.
Is it just my phone that's got issues or does nobody else notice Wi-Fi or LTE speeds getting slashed while using Bluetooth?
Can someone let me know if this is isolated to my phone or other T-Mobile note 3 on 4.4.2?

I have bluetooth enabled all day - with galaxy gear watch connected. Never had an issue with speeds.
Are you on bluetooth with a phone call? Because if you are, your speeds drop to 4G and not LTE.
It's not during a call. It still shows up as LTE or 3G or 2G or Wi-Fi. It simply take whatever speed those normally provide and chops 85% off. I can see the signals all remain the exact same the download speed is the only difference. I'm speaking about while using a Bluetooth speaker or headphone during playback of music already on my phone. If I stop or pause the music it goes right back to normal until I hit play again. This is only an issue for me when downloading large files it just takes 10 times longer than normal.

I just run both WiFi and LTE speed tests with BT headphones playing song and no BT, no speed differences to speak of, is this only KK thing or is there other reason I don't experience this slowdown since I'm on 4.3 rooted?
