Hi.
I know there was a lot of threads about this issue on the forum, but I've tried every possible solution to this and none of them helped. When I'm on a custom ROM, my phone very often loses signal and switches from 4G to 3G but it also tends to show a "sim card removed" error and I usually have to reboot my device a couple of times to get it working. When I'm on a stock Marshmallow, everything's fine. Do you guys have any idea what to do about this issue? Or is there any ROM that doesn't have this bug?

I've been having trouble over the past few days with a message popping up on my phone saying that the mobile network is unavailable and that I need to restart to insert my SIM card. The problem is that it seems to happen every 10 minutes. I did not make any ROM changes for months prior to this. I tried updating from Mmuzzy 4.2 to 4.2.2 but it didn't seem to help. Anyone know what the problem is?
Same thing here, but only occasionally, on DHD cfx 4.2.1...
Try confirming automatic network selection when that happens. It helped me each time.

EDIT: Fixed. I had already tried flashing updated stock roms before flashing CM9 and it didn't seem to help but I tried a few more, and the one called "R800_4.0.2.A.0.79.ftf" fixed it. After that I wiped everything, installed cm9 again and now it gets a signal
original post:
I installed CM9 on my Xperia Play and now it doesn't properly detect the SIM card. It says "No service" and when searching for available networks it gives an unhelpful message "error searching for network". If I try to add the APN manually it gets ignored.
I've seen other people with this problem but every solution I've found has been things I've already done, or broken links.
I updated my baseband using Flashtool but it didn't help and in fact the phone seems more sluggish now after doing that.
The SIM works fine in another phone. These are all unlocked devices.
hi, first of all: I have been searching for solution to this problem for ages but the problem still persists
I bought the phone a while ago, worked pretty much perfect, I experienced some random signal lost but right after restarting or some minutes the signal went back, so after some months and after changing my phone screen my signal disappeared completly It once worked with my friend's sim card but just with that card and just one time, I tried differente sim's and operators but got no sucess, the phone recognizes the sim but the signal strenght is null (X)
I already tried the following options:
reset
hardreset
5 different roms (cyanogen, and some stock 975/977 roms)
flashing another modem
4 differente sim's
didnt tried anything related to the kernel, this may solve my problem? seens like my problem is related to hardware problems, I dont know..
additional info: my imei is not blocked or N/A but my phone cant recognize my sim number
Additional info: on the fastboot menu the baseband is "N/A", is that value normal?
Thanks in advance:
Hi, I have a problem with my device. Disclaimer: I'm very noob so please be patient.
I'm starting to get SIM CARD REMOVED error since i changed my network provider. My previous sim card was not LTE, just 3g and it had no problem with the device. The new sim card is LTE. It took me literally 5 days after enjoying the new network provider till my device acting weirdly.
Before changing, I upgraded to MM. Originally my device does not support LTE, but then I played with the system (sorry for bad terminologies) and make the feature available. No problem detected with old sim card.
So, I tried the old fashioned way; Hard Reset. I had the device reset twice but nothing changes. Frustrated of the constant automatic reboot, I wiped all system, delvik, cache, etc using TWRP. Then i installed CM13 and use it as my OS. It works well. I got the signal with LTE data. Realizing that the ROM does not come along with Google Play Store, i installed gapps. Soon after restarting the phone, the signal only lasts for an hour then it says " NO DATA SIM". I figured a temporary solution which is, rebooting the device after you lost the signal. It is just temporary though. The signal will once again lost.
What I have tried: 1) Locking the simcard while the phone still got its signal.
2) Changing values using this guide-> http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/help/annoying-lg-g3-problem-lte-signal-solved-t3293721
* My sim reader does not seem to be having any defect.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Every now and then my wifi and cellular signal stop working. the phone doesnt recognize the sim card. Both stop working at the same time. Sometimes it takes one reboot to work again some times more. Some times the phone recognizes the sim card at random times and asks me for my pin after wifi and cellular network have stopped working for a while. Some times rebooting doesnt solve the problem immediately but it takes a minute or two for wifi and sim to work. I tried reinstalling miui through the update up and i did a factory reset but it didnt help. Im using the latest pie version on 3gb/32gb global version
