I have HTC Desire 816 dual sim (a5_dug) that i left it powered off for 2 months after i got my new phone, so today I tried powering the phone on but it didn't power on, I left it on the charger for 1 hour and it didn't help so I thought it's a problem with the battery, I bought a new one and replaced it and still not powering on! but the orange LED blinked once or twice can't really remember.
Any ideas about what's wrong with the phone or any solutions?

Hi i recently had my desire repaired by HTC, i had the rebooting issue and they replaced the motherboard everything was working fine for two weeks then last night while browsing the internet the phone froze, None of the buttons would work couldnt power off i had to remove the battery, now it wont switch on at all at first i thought it was a dead battery but i have tried another battery and it still wont start.
I plugged my charger in and the orange led came up but as soon as i press the power button it goes off i left it charging overnight and now the led light is green but it still wont turn on.
I havent rooted it and it came back from HTC with the latest firmware installed
As its compleyely syock, Id send it back to htc again and give them hell.

Well have phoned HTC and they seemed as confused as i am, the phone is completely dead booked in for repair for the 29th december
I rooted my desire today using unrevoked and flashed it with cyanogenmod 7. It worked for a few hours but after that the phone turned of and I can't turn it on anymore. If i plug it in the wall and have the battery in it rumbles and shows the htc screen for a short time (not even a second) and than goes black en keeps doing that indefinitely. If I hold the volume down button it keeps blinking but it shows the fastboot screen for a brief moment instead of the htc logo.
as soon as i disconnect the usb cable the phone turns off, even if the battery is inserted.
does anyone know what could be wrong with my phone?

Must be a hardware fault. Something in the electronics department got fried. Could be the contacts between the battery and the mainboard or the battery died. If you know anyone with a HTC Desire try to use their battery and see what happens.
I just fixed it. The battery wasn't making contact with the mainboard. I fixed it by putting some duct tape on the inside of the backcover so it pushes the battery against the mainboard.

i have the costum cyanogenmod11 m9 installed.
the phone worked with no problem and one time i tried opening it and i have noticed it doesnt respond nor to the power button or
when i connect it to the charger it does not show the red led
any suggestions ?

Sounds like it died some how. Get a warranty replacement. If it is fully dead with no physical damage they should replace it no questions asked.
Might want to check the voltage off your charger, or just go ahead and get a new charger for it also. A bad htc charger killed one of mine.

i think the problem is with the battery take it to a service center

Hello guys,
So I have a problem with my HTC M9, when I plug it in all I get is a blinking red light (not solid red light as it should be when charging) and the screen wont turn on or indicate anything.
The blinking light stops and goes off after about 5mn after I plugged in, and when I press the Power button it starts blinking again.
I have tried to press the Volume Up & Down + Power button (and all other combinations of these 3 buttons) while it's plugged in but it didn't work.
I have also replaced the battery with a new one but still the same problem.
So are there any suggestions to fix this issue.

My M9 just dropped down hard the other day and started acting up, restarting even with juice....
