Hello, I have got a Nexus 5x and for about 2 weeks it makes a "ring ring" type of noise without me doing anything to it. The sound intensifies when I use the phone, I have searched around the settings for a fix but with no luck

Try factory reset. Probably there is a bad app that is causing it.

Is the white screen appearing while in call? Mine did that too. Just whenever this happens hit the back arrow button, and it should go away. Hope this helps

One usually needs to be rooted to alter that setting.

Before I give you the longer work around, I found this info:
http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...tle-sound-warning-when-increasing-volume.html
"I went into music settings and checkmarked the option to set all songs to the same volume. Now when I increase the volume, the warning message doesn't come up at all, and I can increase volume to the maximum if I want. Finally, I've been trying to fix this problem for ages, and I know others are experiencing this as well! Try this out and give me a shout if it works for you."
Try tweaking that setting in the stock music app.
If that doesn't work for you, you'll have to install the Xposed Framework and enable a module which can disable the setting.

This is in regards to the Galaxy S IV, but it will work for the S III, too.
Thanks for the help

Can somebody help me on how to fix this issue? Is anybody facing the same issue?

In my case it ended up being a piece of lint stuck in the mic hole.
Just incase someone else runs into the same issue.
THANK YOU!
THANK YOU so much! I said, "What the heck", and stuck a pin in the two tiny holes on my Nexus 5X. MIRACLE! It's back to normal!
Thanks for taking the time to even tell us your solution. It worked for me!
