Don't work one 1+5
When you got magisk
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/magisk-details-dummies-to-developers-t3473486
Cache mounts
Some files requires to be mounted much earlier in the boot process, currently known are bootanimation, and some libs (most users won't change them).
You can place your files into the corresponding location under /cache/magisk_mount, Magisk will automagiskally manage selinux contexts, permissions and the mounting for you. For example, you want to replace /system/media/bootanimation.zip, copy your new boot animation zip to /cache/magisk_mount/system/media/bootanimation.zip, Magisk will mount your files in the next reboot

Well, it's working perfectly for me, 1+5 running latest OOS, just replace /system/media/bootanimation.zip with the one I uploaded, you must not flash it.

I didn't know Magisk could do that..... is there any improvements over the classical file overwrite?
I just put this in my OP5...I love it.

hey, thanks a lot for this bootanimation, works (almost) flawlessly! The only thing I noticed is a lit up pixel at the lower right (in your preview gif it is right at the bottom), that shouldn't be there. At first I thought my display was damaged, but a black image is completely black...
Could you please fix this and upload the new version?

Yes, I noticed it too and also bugs me a lot, guess it is some kind of signature from the original one. I'll edit it soon.

Anyways, love how the actual boot is finished after "login" and you actually have to log in

Nice!
If anyone is using SuperSU, LiveBoot by Chainfire might also be an option ... it shown kernel messages during boot, also with transparent effect if you like.

It's quite a long time ago. But you can still help me perhaps. I am running LineageOS 15.1 with Magisk 16.0. I tried to change my bootanimation like you said but I don't have any folder namend Magisk or similar. I just see a Magisk log-file. But there is a Watchdogs Bootanimation module available which I downloaded and installed successfully. It works so far and the bootanimatio.zip is located in /magisk/watchdogs-bootanimation/system/media. I edited some of the png-files like Robdxy did but now I don't have a bootanimation at all.
Just replacing the stock bootanimation in /system/media didn't work neither.
Do you know if I have to change anything else to make it working? I also tried to change the permissions to -rw -r -r which didn't work neither.

Note: If you don't see the new boot Logo try this
open your Terminal Emulator. At the $ prompt change into superuser mode by typing su and pressing Return/Enter. You will then get the # prompt.Type load_oemlogo press Return/Enter and several lines of text will display, when this stops exit out of Terminal Emulator.
REBOOT and enjoy your new boot logo.

you will most likely need to return to stock, then factory reset and wipe / advanced / wipe internal storage to return to lollipop from MM

if you see an error in TWRP about the system not mounted you need to reboot recovery and flash it again
you normally only get this if you did an advanced wipe and checked system or if you mounted system before flashing

CM13 to Nova
I just came from CM13 to Nova and had same issues. You cant install from a zip if your coming from Marshmello. I had to first download a Twrp Backup.I used the stock one in repo. I copied the stock TWRP backup folder to Twrp/backup/(s/n folder of your phone)/stockhonor5x. Then boot to recovery and Click restore. Select stock folder. Then you can Install Nova zip. right on top.

I just did a factory reset and loaded the B140.R5 rom again .. it takes about 65 seconds to get to the honor screen then it takes another 5 - 10 min on the EMUI Optimizing system screen and then loads the lock screen.
It has xposed installed is why the first boot is slow

I solved my play store errors by changing sd cards and formatting it with the phone. also set storage to sd card and not internel
in the short term removing your play account and redoing it will fix it temporally
others have reported that unmounting the sd card and remounting it fixed it for them
Can someone who has used this rom tell me if it's significantly quickly than stock? The only mods I haven't done that are in this are zip align and no swap. If the difference is negligible I'll just stick with what I've got, otherwise I'm gonna try it out. Also, @clsA I've added several new boot animations and a few color variants of the splash screen if you want to add any of them.

1. Install AML and ViperFX
2. Reboot.
3. Launch Viper and install the driver.
4. Without running Viper:
- From the archive AML.rar
replace post-fs-data.sh along the path /data/adb/modules/AML
- From the archive Viper.rar
replace post-fs-data.sh along the path /data/adb/modules/VIPER4AndroidFX
5. Reboot.

TY for this. I had it working 100% on Android 11, but figured I was lost on 12. Only issue I've had is it constantly thinks I'm connected to my car radio's BT after I disconnect, so profiles aren't perfect, but I missed V4Android. Sound quality is night vs day.
Hi there,
after several other methods this one helped me to solve the driver problem. Thanks for that!
Still I have the problem that NEON is not activated. Is there any solution to be found anywhere?
I am using the Oneplus Nord 2T with Oxygen OS Android 12.
EDIT: found solution.
This worked fine for me on OOS13, it works in all apps when the legacy mode is on. However after doing this whole procedure, Dolby Atmos no longer works (at least on the integrated speakers, which is what I only tested)
Didn't work. After replacing files Viper driver is installed loop (OnePlus 10 Pro, OOS 13, C20 (EU))

Hey guy i installed viper works but when i try to use the Convolver and than i click on impulse response. I get this message on the bottom. Anyway to fix this.
The presets install into a different folder. You have to manually move them over to where Viper is telling you it can't find them. Oddly enough, I had to use Terminal to move them. Even Root Explorer with SU permissions got a r/w denial.

I believe its a weird permissions error. There's a guide to getting these to work in the main Viper4Android thread here on XDA.

I don't have the link, but Google for Viper4Android 2.7 profiles. A guy has a GitHub page where he's updated them all to work with Viper 2.7. I remember having to download those as the old profiles didn't seem to be recognized.

I can't spot a difference in the two images. It won't enable though until you toggle the Master Power button to on.
Hello, this is just for kicks and giggles due to how the device will struggle due to high refresh rate, but I experimented with this device now (because I just got it). Even if this forum isn't active anymore, I'll just share the boot images that I modified. Basically, other devices uses partition named DTBO to store the blobs of the device tree, which then modders edit the partition contents to overclock the screen. But since our device doesn't have DTBO Partition, I know that it is instead appended to the zImage of the kernel. I just extracted it from zImage, modified and appended it back the zImage again.
YOU HAVE TO BE IN THE LATEST DUALITY PATCHED ROM (.192) TO BE ABLE TO FLASH THIS KERNEL!!
Instructions :
Download the boot image with refresh rate you desire then flash it with either fastboot or TWRP.
ENJOY High Refresh Rate on our Device ) !!!

I'm not sure if variable refreshrate is possible or can be ported yet. Making magisk module is pretty impossible since our device doesn't even have DTBO partition, the device tree blobs are "glued" to the kernel itself. So I'm not really that sure.

@Steve0007 I managed to use your cyberpunk boot animation module and adapt it a little to include a color matching shutdown logo
in the post-fs-data.sh script you repeated the mount bind function twice it seems it's not needed twice and you can include rbootanimation.zip
Code:
mount --bind $MODDIR/my_product/media/bootanimation/bootanimation.zip /my_product/media/bootanimation/bootanimation.zip
mount --bind $MODDIR/my_product/media/bootanimation/rbootanimation.zip /my_product/media/bootanimation/rbootanimation.zip

Tested on my OOS one plus 9, I also slightly modded the boot up animation to have a op logo which I might try and re-edit in the future.
Cyberpunk OOS 13 bootlogo & Shutdown logo

Using yours now. I like the reboot better thanks
I will post it on our first post of this thread
I Have re-made the boot animation a little more to my own liking removed the cyberpunk logo and added oneplus with glitched effects.
this is to my taste but I thought someone else might like it.

That looks awesome. Just wondering if it works with Android 11.

I believe the file structure is different it's why panL said the module was oos13 only.
how this works is it puts the bootanimation into
Root / my_product / media / bootanimation
Then it's loaded.
If you have a known android 11 boot animation module I could swap out the bits or you could do it yourself by opening my module and replacing the zip files
I only rooted oos13 so have no knowledge of previous root setups.
I've re-redone the animation with more glitches :

I tried the McLaren boot animation magisk module from the 7TP oos11 and it works on oos11 9Pro just fine. (Edit*). Just install zip in magisk. I will attach it here with a warning:

If the module below does work correctly with A11 as stated then I have used that module to make a compatible module

Providing the information is correct then here is my animation but for OOS11
Swapped the paths from
Root / my_product / media / bootanimation
To
Root / System / product / media
and renamed rbootanimation.zip to shutdownanimation.zip
-snip-
Edited also.

Thanks for the effort. I'm willing to test them but that zip is corrupt for some reason. I can extract some of it, it's not flashable. But it throws errors

I tried dropping in the startup and rboot zips, renamed it to shutdown to match the a11 module. It flashed fine but no images come up. I'm not sure why. The boot screen is just black/empty so it's doing something. The paths must be right. I'm not sure if it's something with the timing maybe? The a13 module seems to have a lot of the images in the part1 folder but the a11 module has a lot of them in part2. I will flip the folder names and report back if anything is seen during boot
Edit: no such luck with that either. Both become black/empty but no cool bootani. I don't want to poison this thread too much but if you figure out why, I'll gladly test and report back

It might be the file names inside the zip or you didn't store the file no compression

老大:请教,Z17 不能刷Permissiver_v5,否则开机报错,有办法解决这个问题吗?谢谢。
Boss: Ask, Z17 can't flash Permissiver_v5, otherwise boot up to report an error, is there a way to solve this problem? Thank you.

I see. Because Z17 need to sign boot.img. If you modify the boot.img. Please use this tool to sign your boot. Use this tools. (I used it on ubuntu x86, I don't know whether it work on windows).
https://github.com/kindle4jerry/boot_signer_for_nubia_nx563j
And I use Github Actions to build kernel and Sign boot.img.
https://github.com/kindle4jerry/KernelSU_Action_nx563j
If it works well, please give me a star.(疯狂暗示)
@Tims Fong
You can try to use some TWRP with sign boot. Such as 绯色_玻璃@weibo.cn.
Now Android removed /system/bin/dalvikvm, some flashable zip boot signer rely on dalvikvm to execute .jar. The boot signer I used is x86 version. So they dont work.

Crimson Glass 3.2.3 can be signed successfully, but it does not work, and the phone is still locked with an error. In addition, the version is too low to adapt to A12/A13.MoKee 3.3.1 has never been successfully signed.

那你就用我给的github那个工具签名
Use the boot signer given above.
by the way to sign boot you have to mount vendor and system manually or am i wrong?

What is your method? I used x86 PC to sign. Because I dont find TWRP by 绯红玻璃. Several years ago I used 绯红玻璃 but now I dont have it. The TWRP by yangcyborg dont have sign boot functions.
@Tims Fong do you need it to install nippon gsis ?
