[Q] Bootloop after cleaning all system APK's with FlashTool

Hello everyone. I've been searching the forums for two weeks now, and I haven't found the solution to my problem. I accidentally deleted all system apk's from an Xperia Arc, and now the phone gets stuck at boot loop. It shows the Sony logo, the Xperia logo and then restarts. Flashtool recognizes the phone, and when I try to install a recovery, it restarts. The phone is rooted, but recovery does not work. Hard reset does not work either, nor can I flash the kernel with flashtool. Sony PC companion recognizes the phone, but I can't get it into fastboot mode, pressing the back button while connecting the usb cable does not work. What can I do to get the phone working again?

Can you try to flash a FTF stock firmware first? If you have problems with fastboot you should try flashing a full ROM first.

I did try to load a firmware with a ftf file. I follow all instructions carefuly, and when I get to the part where I have to connect the phone to the usb cable while pressing the back key, nothing happens. I have Windows 8.1, gordon gate drivers installed and FlashTool 0.9.13.0.

Did you install the latest Windows 8.1 update?

Thanks Diabblo, I will try this when I get home later. I must say that my computer recgonizes the phone, but I'll give it a try, I'm desperate and I want to find a solution to this.

Update is installed, and I cannot get into fastboot mode, nor can I enter recovery mode and the phone keeps restarting.

sorry can you give my a little rsume of your phone actualitty and before,
stock ? bootlader unlock ? recovery ? kernel ? rom ? firmwarre numbers ?
PC, 64 32 bits ?
have you try flashtool ?
If you can geet in recoverry try flash a custom rom (for locked or unlocked )
Last chance if pc and flashtool do not reconize you use a live cd ubuntu or somme other linux to get phone back a life.

Windows 8.1 64Bits / Yes, I have tried Flashtool, I cannot get into recovery. The phone was in stock rom, I tried to install Clockwork recovery mode, but it didn't work. I then cleaned all system apks, thinking that it would erase the previos recovery and allow me to install a new one, so I could install a custom rom (Zelly Cream V3). The phone is rooted, but keeps restarting. Locked bootloader, I cannot give you firmware number, the phone does not boot into android.

Okay show how have you install/try cwm recovery the first time ?
Yes flashtool is not for get cwm is for flash stock ftf, you don't need cwm to is working.
copy ftf in good folder launch flashtool and Just follow the instructions.

I would suggest u to install Windows 7 and flash stock firmware ftf using flashtool. In Windows 8.1 fastboot & flashmode drivers are only working if u have usb 3.0 port in ur pc.

The problem is that the phone itself won't enter fasboot or flashmode. The led does not turn blue. I don't think it's a problem with my computer, but I'll try with another computer.

By following the instructions of flashtools: connecting the phone to the computer while holding back button.

OK cable is plug or not when you holding back button ?
Official windows Update for problems with 8.1 and drivers, will test tomorrow if is working.

Make sure all power is off, then hold both up and down volume and connect a USB cable then restore from kdz. Your phone is just soft bricked.

i tryed this but lg support toll is asking for exit after verifying windows os.......or it shows the phone does not recognized

I'm confused. You need lg kdz flasher downloaded.

Did you installed direvers of Lg?Becasue windows need to see it as port com ?

Keep clam. Don't panic save ur battery . This point kdz won't work for you. You have to flash your phone with .tot file . Search on net for how to flash mobile with tot file

Kdz will not work. I have same issue. Flash .Tot file resolve my issue

guys i just used adb sideload to intall the rom in my device and it work..............thnks for guidences

Bricked LG G3 D855

I have an LG G3 D855 (UK), it is bricked. Not rooted.
Plug in to USB on computer or to a charger battery icon flashes on and off
Recovery mode - works, but no effect
Download mode - doesn't work, just loops LG/powered by Android screen
Hardware Key Control Mode - works
The device may have had a previous interrupted flash.

Do you see a firmware upgrade screen in download mode? If yes ,flash back to stock Rom.

Use lg pc suite ...for update errors/recovery check be pateint it will download stock rom n flash it

I tried that, but it never comes up as Qualcomm, it just shows as 'Unknown Device'.

You sure you have correctly shortened the pins?because I followed the guide and worked perfectly.

ok, problem is solved with a new battery. then it enters download mode no problem, and succesful flash

I have CM13 and can't connect to LGUP

How can i connect to LGUP with CM13? Either LGUP or LG Bridge sees my phone. Windows have no trouble connecting to the phone...

I have twrp recovery.

LGUP is for flashing back to stock, i recomend doing the refurbished option.
power off phone
you put on download mode. press volumen key up, and connect you phone usb cable
have kdz correct file and flash. using refurbished.

have you installed mi flash ??
try installing usb drivers and connect mobile to different usb port. if possible post some screenshots (device manager)
