[Q]:windows 8.1 can't recognize flash or fastboot mod

My PC update to windows 8.1 and then the pc can't recognize flash or fastboot mod , what should I do ?

Known bug, no solution at the moment.
Either use another PC or downgrade to previous OS.

Did you installed driver for fastboot / flashmode properly?

Redmi Note 5 Global Version (MEE7S) how to flash TWRP?

can anyone tell me how to flash TWRP on my redmi note 5 global version? I've tried searching and it does not work after entering fastboot flash twrp.img on cmd fastboot mode. Thanks in advance guys

Have you unlocked the bootloader yet? Do you get a success/failure when you try to flash using fastboot? Do you have twrp.img in the same folder as fastboot.exe?

yep, bootloader is already unlocked and no, haven't seen the result of flashing if it succeeded or failed cause it only said waiting for device

Sounds like you need to update the fastboot drivers. While the device is in fastboot, go to device manager and look for an unknown device that is probably your phone. You'll need to update the drivers to have it show Android Bootloader Interface.

there was an error while I flashed twrp, it said about anti rollback fail, can you guys help me how to flash twrp on this?

He choose clean all and lock option because of that he brick his phone

I already have done because all of three sets code name alitoh
Which is also ment by xda

I try to upload screen shot but failed.i have f3 and i recently flash rom with miflash tool china rom after bootloader unlock

Might I know what's the benefit of switching to China rom?
Not having a google play storeor Google framework is a merit to you ?

iirc, you can just toggle on google services in settings, though this might be outdated info
edit: according to this chinese forum, it does have gms, the screenshot looks like its with official customer service too

First of all apply for unlock bootloader to miui offical then next
U have to download k40 fastboot mathed file .first extract it with winzip on desktop after this then again extract desktop with 7 zip
Now u have file for flash.
Download file miflash and driver instal it.power off your cell after
Press vol down and power buton now your cell in fastboot methd now open miflash tool search file which on your desktop select conect it with offical lead now refresh press butun
One more thing backup your data on mi cloud
Then select clean
After that simply press flash and sit after 900 sec it shows result suecess

i thought this would brick your phone since xiaomi no longer allows you to flash from global to cn? i just cant help but be a bit doubtful about this... all the sources ive read all say to use custom recoveries instead of direct flash

Mtp driver is not the same as fastboot driver
so it could be the driver not installed

i unlock it on the developer menu, on mi flash i must wait 168h. now i using windows 7.

It is a factory rom used to fix software problems such as possible opening, silence, not working. It's not miui. After installing this software, you should use the phone by installing the appropriate rom for yourself.

@entekss I have questions about this ROM, because as you wrote above it is a ROM to be repaired, so how do I flash it? Use MiFlash or some other tool? Will I be able to flash it in EDL mode without authorization?

I haven't tried it in edl mode, but I don't think it will be a problem. it's have all files for edl mode
