Hi guys,
I search all over the forum bur cannot find something to help me.
I want to install the Magisk (12v or 13beta if so) but there's an error about boot image.
How can I fix it?
I'm using Lineage 14.1 build 030717
firmware: capricorn-CN-7.6.15-7.0
So what is the error message you see? There is no David Copperfield in this forum I think .

Since you have twrp just flash a kernel or a new rom through twrp.
Cool thanks man. I was kinda stuck there. I couldn't get my pc to see the phone, had to wait for a micro sd card to put the kernel on. Thanks a lot

LG G3 LS990 - ZVB - Rooted + TWRP - Flash Stock Recovery Only
Hi, I am looking for flashing stock recovery on my LG G3 Sprint LS990. I believe the same method will work. I am currently running on stock ZVB ROM rooted and TWRP installed as recovery. In the download folder for LS990-ZVB http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G3/LS990/stock_partitions/ZVB, there is no recovery image file, but in ZVA folder there is. I am just wondering if I can flash ZVA folder's recovery image using Flashify to my ZVB ROM LS990 and if that will work.
My LS990 is rooted and currently have TWRP. i get secure boot error when the phone reboots after accepting Android updates installation that come automatically. I believe installing stock recovery will resolve this issue and allow to install Android updates I do not want to going back to stock completely, that will unroot my phone and again I have do all these staffs.
Anyone can help to advise, will be appreciated. Thanks.
Worked for me

Your recovery seems to be old. Use the recovery included in ROM zip.
Hi guys,
I tried to flash LineageOS 13.0 and 14.1 but it fails and I get shown the error "Error executing updater binary in zip". Since I am no professional for sure I thought I might ask you guys. How can I fix this?
If you need further information about my device dont hesitate to tell me.

edit2: Alternatively I'd be happy if someone could upload or link me a backup of the stock rom. For some reason mine got corrupted

You need to update your TWRP if you are going to flash any rom. That is why you are getting errors... https://dl.twrp.me/hima/
You can find a stock rom here. https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...-verizon-htc-one-m9-marshmallow-3-37-t3318605

Thanks mate, gonna try it asap!
Edit: Tried now a couple of ROMs. Most of the time I just get the same error and if it does indeed install, after rebooting it just goes directly into the bootloader again and wont boot the ROM
Weird thing is than I had it working before with that recovery and lineageOS 13

Hi mate,
I updated the firmware with "3.37.605.28_NoBoot_TWRP3.1.0-0_firmware.zip" from the "★ ☆ [6.0][FIRMWARE/RUU] Verizon HTC One M9 Marshmallow 3.37.605.28 Resources ☆ ★" thread (cant post links)
I managed to update twrp to the most recent one and I can finally install LineageOS 13. But for some reason it installs the rom but after the LineageOS bootanimation it keeps shutting down and rebooting.
Any idea on how to fix this? So far you were really helpful mate!
Edit: I always got "updater process ended with error 7" when installing a ROM so I edited the file "updater-script" with this guide: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2522762
Edit2: Now my phone will reboot after booting no matter which ROM I use. Not even my backup will work now.

Something probably got ginked up in the process and I would start over with RUU at this point.
Back up anything important on your internal memory as this will wipe your device and ruu - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=65358513&postcount=4 - then factory reset from stock recovery and flash 3.37.605.28_NoBoot_Twrp3.1.0-0 - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=65358020&postcount=2 and you're on your way again

Download and install with twrp. If that build has treble and the one you're using doesn't, you need to flash with twrp for it to change OEM to vendor which the installer cannot do in boot time. It can be dirty flashed if the keys are the same. (I.E. test key to test key. If its from the same source, it is the same)

Worked like a charm, Thanks!!
crazy question, how do i install magisk now? I've tried it with the older twrp i was using and I've tried it with the newer version twrp you suggested and i get boot loop now. I tried with the lineage recovery and it fails?
I successfully rooted the phone using Magisk, and looking at how to install LineageOS, I saw I needed TWRP first. I followed all the instructions, but when I use fastboot to boot twrp.img, I get the following error message, "Error verifying the received boot.img: Invalid Parameter". Searching for an answer, I saw there was an old issue with TWRP with the Pixel 3a XL and Android 10, but I found nothing more recent about Android 11.
I thought maybe I shouldn't have rooted the phone first, so I reflashed with the stock boot.img and tried TWRP again, but that doesn't solve it. Any idea how I can boot TWRP? Or is there a way to install LineageOS with TWRP? Thanks!
Build # RQ2A.2100505.002
TWRP image twrp-3.5.2_9-0-bonito.img
Twrp doesn't work currently for android 10+
You don't need it to install lineage, just flash the lineage recovery and follow the wiki install guide.
Install LineageOS on bonito | LineageOS Wiki
wiki.lineageos.org
If TWRP does not work on Android 10+ what are we doing about flashing custom roms? Booting the TWRP and then sideloading the ROM?
I need help. When I try to boot TWRP(assuming its possible) I get an error :invalid parameter, error verifying the boot image. I am on Android 11. Yes, Ive used the search function or else I would not have found this thread.
I do not want to flash lineage, but the instructions are vague in other ROM threads.
I just built a TWRP that works on Android 11. I wasn't sure how much interest there was in it, though, so I didn't bother posting it anywhere. I'll consider it once I clean up the source a bit.

Boot TWRP, copy image to device, use Install Image -> Install Recovery Ramdisk to install TWRP, then flash Magisk.apk.
I've done it a bunch of times and it works fine. Is that what you're doing?

No idea what to tell you. It works for users in the TG group and it works for me. That's the exact process I'm using. You can alternatively try the Advanced -> Flash Current TWRP option and then flash Magisk and see what happens.
Thanks! I think I got it! Think I was using the wrong Magisk! I Guess I still have to use lmza kernel to pass integrity in magisk?

I have no idea about any specific kernel or integrity checks in Magisk. I only build TWRP.
