Hello
To be sure not to make false manipulation, is this the right method please
Do you have any advice or other step ?
I've not forgotten anything ?
I have read some post XDA problems with encryption.
I do not have a password or PIN or my fingerprint is ok?
For the broken radio problem it is fixed?
I do not wish to cause damage to my device
Thank you for your answers
1 - Unlock bootloader via HTCdev
2 - Install TWRP:
- adb reboot download
- fastboot devices to check
- fastboot flash recovery files.img
- fastboot erase cache
- reboot to bootloader (not use adb or fastboot to reboot at this point. Use Volume-up and -down buttons to highlight reboot to bootloader and press Power button to select it)
- reboot to recovery (ATTENTION: do not allow TWRP to perform changes to system)
- perform a Nandroid of you you current boot and system image
- Reboot to TWRP again
- using adb, in twrp run - shell adb "echo KEEPFORCEENCRYPT = true >> / data / .supersu" >> is this command still needed ???
- flash latest SuperSU
- Full reboot
3- Go to S-OFF

Looks good to me. Don't know why you need to wipe the cash though. All the mess about encryption and requiring a format of data to keep the radios working and so on was when the 10 first came out. Those problems have been solved for some time now. If you are going to install a custom rom like LeeDroid or Viper then there is no need to flash SuperSu as these roms are pre-rooted. Otherwise, after the reboot to TWRP just swipe to allow modifications unless you have a specific reason to decrypt, everything should be fine. I've heard some people having problems with SuperSu v2.82 so you might want to avoid that one. I'm using v2.79 SR3 with zero problems.
Hello and thank you for the return
I did the steps on the HTC last night
- Unlock bootloader via HTC DEV.*> ok
- Installation TWRP > ok
- SuperSU installation via TWRP ok
- S-OFF small problems:
>> The S-OFF with sunshine with good throw the process*:
- 1st reboot ok shunshine run again
- 2st reboot, Problem, HTC asks for a password to decrypt the device
(I do not have a password to unlock the screen and I did not activate the fingerprint reader).
Reboot to recovery*:
I do not have the options "wipe encryption" I perform a wipe DATA
OK HTC reboot without password request
Ok the status is good: s-off but bootloader has become locked again!
I then unblock the bootloader again with the file bin
my status final is*:
- Unlock
- S-OFF
- However, TWRP no longer offers the "read only" options to the boot
And I do not have the options "wipe encryption"
is it normal ?
Then I install a ROM without problems?
thank you

You have achieved your goals. There is no "wipe encryption" setting in TWRP. You can now install a custom rom. Now get the RUU.exe for your device and download it to your computer. Should you ever want to put your device back in its original state you will be able to do that. Your phone will remain unlocked and S-Off, but the recovery, boot, firmware, system, data, etc., will go back to the factory state it was in. Happy flashing.....

Take a look at LeeDrOiD or Viper both have it as an option during Aroma installation. Both have a 100% JPEG quality option andngreat audio.
As an addition. Wipe encryption has been replace by Wipe > Format Data in TWRP.

First of all, there is no Android 4.3 released yet. Look in the development section to find a rom to your taste. I would recommend something stable as a first custom rom.
Concerning the unlock token, the EasyAceRootTool also wants to install version 3.13 somewhere during those steps. First finish that, then follow the steps on the unlock token with HTCDev.
Simple, basic keypoints.
1. Unlock bootloader by following ALL steps @ htcdev.com (fully unlocked)
2. Flash a recovery.img via fastboot on pc.
3. Flash a superuser.zip via recovery.
4. Backup rooted stock Rom. (save just in case of problems)
5. Flash New Rom.zip via recovery (need to do full wipe).
6. MUST DO, DON'T SKIP ---> Flash the boot.img (inside Rom.zip) via fastboot on pc for every Rom change! Including when doing a recovery.
7. You tell me.

You need to update your hboot.
Hello,
when i start my phone with vol- and the power button, it says unlocked or something in pink.
when i do recovery, ClockworkMod opens i did following steps :
5. Use the ‘backup and restore’ feature of recovery to backup your existing ROM installation, software and data. This step is known as performing a nandroid backup. ALWAYS perform a backup before flashing a custom ROM, UNLESS you can afford to lose everything that’s on your phone at the moment.
Note: ALWAYS choose to perform the following steps 6, 7 and 8 UNLESS the ROM you are attempting to flash is an updated version of the same ROM that you are currently using, and is compatible with the current installation’s data. It is usually mentioned with the update whether you can install it over a previous version without wiping its data or not.
6. Get back to the main recovery menu and use the option ‘wipe data/factory reset’. You will be prompted to confirm this action. Select “Yes – Delete all user data”.
7. From the main recovery menu, select ‘wipe cache partition’. You will be prompted to confirm this action. Select ‘Yes – Wipe Cache’.
8. From the main recovery menu, enter the ‘advanced’ menu. From this menu, select ‘Wipe Dalvik Cache’. You will be prompted to confirm this action. Select ‘Yes – Format/System’.
9. From the main recovery menu, enter the ‘Mounts and Storage’ menu. From this menu, select ‘Format/System’. You will be prompted to confirm this action. Select ‘Yes – Wipe Dalvik Cache’.
10. Go back to the main recovery menu by pressing the back button and select the ‘Install zip from SD card’ option.
11. Select ‘choose zip from sdcard’ to get a list of the files and folders on your SD card. Scroll to the ROM’s file that you copied there in step 3, and select it. You will be prompted to confirm this action. Select ‘Yes – Install file_name.zip’ where file_name.zip is the name of the zip file that you are trying to install.
12. Wait patiently while the ROM is flashed to your phone via recovery.
13. Once the installation is complete, head back to the main recovery menu if you aren’t there, and select ‘reboot system now’. Your phone will now boot into the newly installed ROM.
from another topic.
buth when i reboot the system, the only thing that happens is a black screen with : =SoftBank on it.
how do i flash things to my htc?
when i restore my HD with the ClockworkMod thing, it starts back up, buth i can't call wit it (it doesn't ask for pin-code, and it's an old android version)
best regards
Is your bootloader unlocked? If so, every time you flash a ROM you need to extract the boot.img from the ROM zip and
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
.

If you have pure untouched stock
Before you begin: Make sure that you have the ROM you want in .zip format and this recovery in .zip format on your external sd card. If you don't have one, on your internal.
1. Install Towelroot APK.
2. Launch it, click on magic button, bah, you're now rooted.
3. Make a backup of your TA partition using i.e. Backup TA. DON'T SKIP THIS STEP, or you will lose your warranty forever. You need root for this step, so don't try it without 1 and 2.
4. Get familiar with fastboot.
5. Turn off your device.
6. Hold Vol-up button, don't release it.
7. Plug your phone to your PC, while you're holding Vol-up.
8. It won't boot (black screen) but LED should indicate that device is turned on.
9. Execute fastboot -i 0x0fce getvar version. Use fastboot.exe instead of fastboot if you're on windows, do the same for all fastboot commands, you should already know it.
10. If you got return value, such as "0.5", you did everything correctly, congratulations! If you did not get return value, don't go further until you get it, because your fastboot connection doesn't work.
11. Get bootloader unlock code from Sony here. You can view your IMEI with *#06# code if you need it.
12. Unlock bootloader with fastboot -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xCODE where CODE is the code from Sony. I.e. if you got "ABCD0011" code on your e-mail, execute fastboot -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xABCD0011
13. You should get response like "Okay".
14. Extract boot.img file from the zip you downloaded from this thread. Put in the same directory as fastboot.
15. Flash boot.img with fastboot flash boot boot.img.
16. Execute fastboot reboot to reboot.
17. Wait for your device to turn on, then immediately after you see that your led changed color to pink, start clicking Vol-Up button repeatedly. Stop when you see that your led changed it's color to blue.
18. If you did everything correctly, you should have booted custom recovery right now.
19. Enter "mounts & storage", and format: /system /cache /data. If you don't have anything important on your internal sd card, I strongly suggest to format /data and /data/media as well.
20. Flash any ROM you want
21. Remember that your ROM will overwrite your recovery (kernel), so if you want to preserve recovery, flash this zip right after every ROM flash.
22. Finally, reboot, be patient, you shouldn't get any bootloop.
If you already have CWM, TWRP or any custom recovery installed
1. Simply flash this recovery with install zip option.
I'm using CM11 (Free Xperia) with CWM Recovery , is it possible to install this recovery on the current? would it be possible to make any kernel related issues? (phone not booting up and else).

This kernel has been only tested on my private ArchiDroid 2.X build (not public yet), but it's based on FreeXperia sources so it should be compatible with all CM11 ROMs that don't need any kernel-ramdisk-based changes, including your CM11.
In case of issues you can always reflash, as this recovery boots and works properly, apart from some functions we're currently fixing with Phil.

I also tried to build Philz and was succeeded, but it has same issue. I contacted Philz he told to me to enable Axis parameter in BoardConfig.mk but still the same. What you think, why this issue is caused? Due to faulty Touch screen events?

Why you shouldn't get bootloop? It's only for CM11.

I would be really thankful for any help.
I asked you to make a new thread in M8 Q&A, not here.

What I can see in your post, you still have TWRP recovery installed only the bootloader is relocked, right ?
Do you have a microSD in your device.
What you need to do :
1. Download this 1.80.720.1 TWRP backup : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=62987237&postcount=153
2. Extract that TWRP.7z with 7-zip, then copy the folder 2015-04-26--06-07-46 KTU84P release-keys to where you have your TWRP backup
Let say you never make one before, boot into recovery then select "backup" then select "boot", "system" & "data" and select the storage your microsd then swipe to backup.
Now go to mount, and check whether MTP is enabled then connect to PC. Open SDCard on PC and browse to TWRP/BACKUPS/YourSerialNo/YourBackup
Copy folder 2015-04-26--06-07-46 KTU84P release-keys here.
3. In recovery, select wipe - advance wipe - tick Dalvik cache, Cache, System & data
4. In recovery, select restore - select folder 2015-04-26--06-07-46 KTU84P release-keys and tick only boot and system (leave data unticked) - Swipe to restore)
5. Reboot - run setup.
6. Check for software update - settings - about - software update. You should receive update for 4.30.720.4
7. Download the update file, once it asks to install select install later. Connect your device to PC. Copy the OTA zip from Internal storage/Downloads folder to PC.
8. Open the OTA zip with 7-zip, you'll see firmware.zip inside it. Extract out firmware.zip. Put the firmware.zip in your fastboot/adb folder
9. Boot your device to bootloader then run these commands
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
if failed : FAILED (remote: 90 hboot pre-update! please flush image again immediately)
repeat fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
fastboot reboot
10. check OTA again and install
11. Once first OTA done, check again as there is another OTA 4.30. 720.5
12. Done - you'll lose root and TWRP
13. If you want to root, you need to unlock bootloader and install TWRP and root again.
Hey thanks

It worked upto step 8 until the last reboot command on step 9 which didnt give ny error. However, the htc got stuck on the white htc logo and now there is stock android recovery.
The bootloader still relocked and s-off and software status-modified.
What could have possibly gone wrong? and what can be done now?
Thanks again for ur earlier response
Unlocked the bootloader but still getting stuck at the HTC logo after doing the fastboot reboot. What can be done?
So you managed to unlock bootloader ? Then remember never to relock it again.
Do you still have the TWRP recovery that meant for your device that you used before ?
Do you still have that firmware.zip ? Open it with 7-zip and extract out recovery.img
Then :
1. Install TWRP
2. Do the restore again but this time restore all data, boot & system
3. After restore, select reboot to bootloader
4. Install recovery.img (the one extracted from firmware.zip)
Then follow step 5 to 13 but SKIP 7,8 & 9
Thank you shall try this once home and let you know.. I appreciate
Is it possible to do a custom recovery on m8eye. Have tried looking for the Rom but couldn't find any.
I don 't get it? if he is s-off'd and s-cid'd he could unlock, relock, and what he want s to do.. a rom or a recovery to find will harder.. maybe at chinese forums? but why you wan t it original and now you ask for custom-recovery?

The more you relock and unlock it the higher the risk to brick the bootloader. It's not made to be unlocked and relocked many times !
There is no need to relock it anymore because all the things he wants to do can be done with an unlocked BL so no need to take unnecessary risks
This is really a note to myself as a guide to convert out of box x727 to Linerage OS 14. I have converted 4 phones so far and I just wanted to leave a note for the next time. I have used the below method for going from 18s, 19s, and 21s. (I believe it also works for 23s. I think I have done it before.)
Steps below are for experts only with the usual warnings about bricking and warranty. (Always check for connection with devices command in both adb and fastboot - if you find adb working but not fastboot, change out the USB driver on you computer)
I wrote the steps down from my memory so let me know if you find something missing.
Files you need to hunt down :

Hey! hi.
Could you do a Step-by-Step Tutorial, with File etc. if its a Video tutorial, better! I have the X727 US with 19s Official Rom and I want Root/TWRP but any tutorial that I saw are weird.... I have fear to break my phone. Thanks!

If you have a specific question about a certain step or files, I can answer them for you but the guide is about as detailed as I want to make.
If you are comfortable with ADB, Fastboot, and TWRP, then the above guide should be detailed enough to get the job done.
If you are not, then I would advise not attempting the conversion since there is a good chance of bricking the phone.
And by the way, unlocking the bootloader will erase all the user data on the phone.

Good for you. Enjoy.
This step is a little misleading
12) format data (in the wipe section) and wipe cache and system
You don't want to click the Format Data as it will erase the previously copied zip files (well you can copy them again). You should only do Advanced Wipe (System and Cache)

Ah good point. Thanks.
Why the emmc image? Is it just for permanently unlocked bootloader? And if yes then is there a reason I would need unlocked bootloader after I flash recovery?

Of 6 or 7 times I have tried oem unlock-go, only once did it work. Other times, I had to flash emmc first in order to unlock. You can try oem unlock-go first and see if it works for you.
The other thing to consider is if the flashed recovery will remain when you reboot without having flashing emmc first.
Good summary of steps. I found it was necessary to reboot the bootloader after flashing emmc_appsboot.mbn, though (as per this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71566961&postcount=203). Just did it on a new phone last night.

You can Use OTG. I could not get a OTG, so I did flash Recovery 3.0.3 v6 because the 3.0.2 does not have support for Adb or MTP via Recovery. Once being on recovery your connect your movil to the PC and it appear like Drive, then you copy Your Rom, SU or anything else.
Hi all,
- bootloader is unlocked
- I have latest OOS installed (9.09 I think?)
- twrp codeworx 3.3.1
- Magisk installed
- developer options enabled, adb enabled
And here's my issue:
- downloaded latest magisk as zip file
- selected reboot to recovery
- twrp asks me for password, I enter my NIP but says "Can,t decrypt data'"
- Provides no option to reboot to system...
- rebooted, goes again to twrp
- rebooted to other menu where you can select fastboot, recovery, system when selecting system it goes to recovery...
So right now I'm frigging STUCK going to recovery all the time.
What are my options out of this nightmare?
I'd think:
- flash stock recovery from fastboot?
- other?
Suggestions welcome guys, I'm at the office and can't try anything now but definitely need input before I screw up things even more
Thanks

So... Got home, booted via fastboot the PREVIOUS twrp recovery (i.e. NOT this one https://sourceforge.net/projects/ch...rkx-signed-forcedecrypt-dumpling.img/download) and it gave me the option to actually cancel the password and keep the system read only. At which point I was able to reboot to system, and that's it, fixed.
I'll flash the twrp version that got me out of my self digged hole now.
Here's the version I used: twrp-3.2.2-0-20180721-codeworkx-dumpling.img (2018)
