Somebody HELP!!!!!!!!
I'm running Resurrection Remix LP v5.5.8 on my T-Mobile Galaxy S4 (SGH-M919). I love this ROM, but I'm having a persistent problem with Bluetooth crashing, within minutes of starting up. This a consistent problem, not even remotely intermittent - happens every single time I try to turn on Bluetooth - it shuts itself off, refuses to turn back on again, and on occasion, gives me the error message "Unfortunately Bluetooth share has stopped."
I have tried clearing the Bluetooth share app cache and data to restart - it will then turn back on, but soon turns back off.
The problem was bad enough that I took RR off my phone and tried some other ROMs, including basic CM12.1. I came back to RR because the other ROMs had more critical issues, but they did help me eliminate causes of my problem, in that I didn't have Bluetooth issues with them like I do with RR, and I was still running all the same apps, same devices I was trying to attach, etc.
I've also played with several of the settings in the Kernel Aduitor, including completely shutting off the task killer. No difference - problem persists.
I also tried some of the apps on Google Play that say they're supposed to cure problems like this. Fixed nothing.
Please help. Is there an alternative something that I can flash - Bluetooth driver, different kernel, something, that can fix this issue once and for all?
Got the same problem. Android V6 RR Remix. Any suggestions?
Seems to be a consistent MM ROM issue, currently. Some seem to work better than others on some phones.
Keeping bluetooth working on the S4 seems to be "dark arts". Cyanogenmod has historically had much problems with this too. Some nightlies are okay, then others cause BT to crash. Some don't work at all.
Anyone have any resolution to this issue? I'm having the exact same symptom, but I'm on a different phone.
Note II / T-889, Conch Republic. Might've been from a radio update I did a while back, trying different ones now.

You might give this AOKP 6 MM ROM a try:

Users are reporting that after a week of testing the Bluetooth seems to be working rather well.
Sent from my SGH-M919 using XDA-Developers mobile app
I am having an issue with videos recorded on my LGG4. During playback on the phone or uploaded to Facebook, there is a constant clicking noise that can be heard over any recorded sound on every video. I have tested several different recordings and all are the same. Here is a short sample that you can listen too...

Bad phone or is there a easy fix?
Hi. I have the same playback issue on my G4. I tried recording with Google Camera and I had no problem, no weird sounds or whatever. I guess this happens only when using the stock camera app. Mine is updated to MM v20a.
Hi, same problem here. That's the second exchange with amazon, the first one had display issues (random white noise on the right half of the display) this one has the clicking noise during video recording on the left channel. Seems like it's related with the wifi module: disabling it the clickning noise disappears, but the audio recording is still bad compared to the previous g4 i returned to amazon.

I have the same issue. Strange that everything is fine when using different app. Looks like firmware problem ? Did you sort it out ? I have just updated my phone to Android 6.0 v20c .
guys, can you try turn off wifi then record video , do you still have clicking sound ?
if u use a case, try record without the case.
Hi. I have switched my wifi off and I did not notice any changes. Still I can hear clicking noise. I do not use any cases. Strange that everything is fine when I using google camera open app... I found out that lots of people noticed the same issue. It cannot be hardware problem...
I have the same problem, but ONLY and ONLY if wifi is on, i get clicking sound in stock camera WITH wifi on, in other apps i dont have it, but when i turn it OFF , clicking sound is gone... even when i record video and during recording i turn of wifi, sound instantly dissapears, for me it's the wifi problem, i can upload video if you dont belive me
I have the same clicking noise with or without wifi on. I did not notice any issues when using open google camera app. Looks like it is stock camera app fault ?

clicking sound comes near earpiece.what default camera does is that it records audio from secondary mic which is near earpiece.whereas 3rd party camera womt use secondary mic.that too clicking sound will come more when wifi/bluetooth is ON.
Same here, and clicking goes away with WiFi off.
Wanted to ask, did anybody return and got a replacement device based on this? Or even had it fixed by service?
I mean, are there devices that don't have this problem? Cause if there are, then it's a valid warranty/service request.
I have got my mother board replaced.

Was that the only problem it had? And is the problem gone now?
We purchased one of these in December and there was no issue with the phone. We had to return the phone for another reason and when we got it back it was updated to the latest version of Android Marshmellow (It was on Lollipop when it left) and the clicking was there. We also noticed a minor reduction in photo quality, not something I can put a finger on it, but when we first got it the photos were awesome, now they are not so clear, colourful, sharp.
Edit:
We sent it back for repair again due to the clicking and when we got it back (last night) nothing changed, it still makes the same noise.
I can stop the clicking but I have to turn off Wifi, Data and bluetooth and then it seems to go away.
As I'm new to Android I'm hesitant to see if I can take it back to Lollipop and see if it stops the problem.
What version of software are you on?
Does turning off Wifi, Data, Bluetooth help? Or does it just reduce the sound?
Do the pictures seem less then what a camera with these specs should have?
Marshmallow v20d. Yes turning off things makes the clicking go totally away. Can't comment on picture quality change, as I updated to marshmallow as soon as I got it.
Had mine sent two times in less than a month, on its way to the third this week.
First time was sent with this audio problem and battery swelling. They replaced the battery and the charging connectors, but said they could not reproduce the earpiece clicking noise during their tests, despite the fact that I had included in the phone a video example showing the problem, clear instructions on how to replicate the problem and the shop lady confirming - in writing - that she had tested and confirmed that there was a clicking noise problem. Problem was, when I received the phone from the first repair I was unable to test whether the audio problem was gone or not because they changed the last account associated to the phone, completely blocking me from accessing it and verify if the audio problem as still present.
Sent back a second time on the same day, with even more clear details on how to reproduce the audio problem - since they failed to reproduce the first time, I assumed it was still there - returned after a simple software upgrade and I was able to finally enter the phone. Came home, tested with WiFi (store's wifi was down) and the audio problem was still there, completely unchanged.
Tested without SIM (in case LTE/GSM etc. could be causing interference with WiFi), tested without SDCARD (at this point I was just trying to see what they did to NOT replicate the problem) and tested with 5GHz wifi, in case the problem was only with 2.4GHz bands. No change, the audio problem was always there.
After reading this thread, and other threads in different forums, I am certain that this is a hardware problem and I will demand that the store tech writes in the warranty sheet that he confirmed the problem, along with a very detailed step-by-step instruction guide to replicate the problem, video example included inside the phone and a link to video example hosted only for them to hear clearly what the problem is, just in case they fail to understand the obvious (https://youtu.be/oZOb8tIl5lw). Finally, I'm going to contact LG directly to report this situation and to take action if the incompetent brand techs fail to replicate and fix the problem yet again.
The only good part about all this is that they have been really fast, no more than week and a half (weekends included) for both "repairs".
NFC was the issue on my android Nokia 3
I have a brand new Nokia 3 running android 7.1.1
It also has the problem of audio clicks on video recordings. THE PROBLEM IS NFC. When NFC is disabled the clicks go away. Not impressed with a 2017 smartphone model having thus issue. Though Nokia probably have the Microsoft bug curse
I have the same problem with my 2016 LG G4. I sent my phone to LG Service and they replaced my speaker obviously not resolving the problem... now I'm sending it back again.
Hi all,
A colleage is having issues with the Wileyfox Swift on LineageOS Nightlies (currently running lineage-14.1-20170306-nightly-crackling). When recording video using either back- or front-camera, the camera freezes after 30-32 seconds and continues to record a frozen video. Even worse, the camera can no longer be initialised until the phone is rebooted.
- I have tried with the stock LineageOS camera, Google Camera, OpenCamera apps. Same problems.
- I have tried to reduce the resolution up until 480px but that's not the problem apparently.
- I have tried this with both the back and the front-camera
- I've cleaned Dalvik/Cache aswell.
- I've also turned off flashlight entirely.
This does not seem to be a known issue, I don't find any article anywhere. Can someone else please try if they can reproduce it on their Wileyfox Swift running LineageOS? Taking pictures seems to be fine. The user reported to me that it had initially worked using lineage-14.1-20170217-nightly-crackling. I did not dare to downgrade to try this myself though.
Any advice would be appreciated. If someone can reproduce this, please be so kind and mention this is the dev thread.
I just tried. Exactly the same here.
Same issue here.
Thought this would resolve it, but no : https://review.lineageos.org/#/c/165102
Jup. Same issue here.
Same issue for me with lineage-14.1-20170328-nightly-crackling-signed installed.
Bugreport on JIRA: https://jira.lineageos.org/browse/BUGBASH-395
Fixed
Fixed in 20170410 build. Enjoy.
it works with 20170410
I tried the 20170410 build and it is fixed indeed !
I love this head unit so far (other than the redundant side bar UI). Every app I have installed runs fine except for Torque. It installs normally but once it is installed and opened it just sits there on the Torque home screen. I can't open any different screens or functions including the settings icon. I have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times with the same situation each time. I have had several of these android headunits and several android phones and torque has always run fine. Is anyone else having this problem?
why do you start a new thread...dont think that one thread for Android 8 MTCD/E is enough for raising your issues there??
Hi there,
I have a Max10 PX6 in my NP300 Navara and it worked just fine until recently. Now the Camera just shows a black screen when shifting into Reverse or activating it via the steering wheel button. I already wrote an email to the support and, after a while, i was told that the issue is known and i should update the MCU.
First of all I can't imagine why updating a system which ran without problems until it stopped to do so should make the camera work again.
Anyways, I updated the MCU and still get the black screen instead of 360° Birdview. Considering the size of the NP300 thats a real pain in the neck.
Anybody out there who might be able to help?
After updating to current MAX10 Version still only a black screen when shifting to reverse. The factory unit displays 360° Camera without a problem.
