Hi guys
Recently i bought my girlfriend LG G4. Now I think it's from Singapore, and I totally have no idea, how to update it. I have 5.1 now, and of course I wanna 6.0. Using automatic option from smartphone still showing "up to date". LG bridge is finding some firmware, but after downloading, at 1% i got error. LG UP always saying, that's bad kdz file ( I download 4-5 of them). When i'm trying to check version by IMEI on devtester, I get nothing. I have no clue what could i do next .

Go into Settings > About Phone > Software Version - at the bottom of the tab click on 'Software Version'. It should give you a version with 10(?) in it (last few numbers in the string). Find one with the same string with 20(?) for the same carrier. Use LGUP-NEW (https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/lgup-install-kdz-mm-lp-t3249803) and click upgrade to set the 20(?) kdz file you found, then proceed to upgrade it.
Good Luck.

Okay, I'll check. Tell me only, because I'm not a native speaker in english, what do you mean by "carrier" in this context? And thank you for your interest - I was searching help in the biggest android forum in my country, and nobody was enough kind to respond .
Anyway, this is worst present I ever made to someone . First of all i was waiting 2 months for package, second problem with battery in theoretically brand new phone and now this soft issue. Well, I'll stay with Samsung s8 for myself than g6 .

By carrier, I mean the wireless company that provides the phone/texting services to your phone ... if the phone wasn't bought from the original services company.
If it was, the other option might be to try a factory data reset to see if it allows the update to 6.0 to come through automatically - you will have to back all your data first, otherwise you will lose it.
PS: Don't forget to click the Thanks button ...

Tell him to flash the H815 European firmware... it will not do any damage because the OS has the same signature across all variants, so the bootloader will accept.

Read somewhere that LG flash tool working only with 5.1, not 6.0. About version - except 20b, i have also european so if first will work, i'll next . I know that i can't root phone with 6.0 but first of all - it's for my girlfriend and i think, that she don't care. Second - with quite long history with android, i never rooted any of them. I never saw a reason and also i'm bit scared when we're talking about more complicated actions . Anyway, thanks for advice. We will in next 5 hours if i finally get 6.0 on this phone

You're lucky you have the European version.. you have no idea how much hassle I went through to get that version...
So anyways, since your bootloader is unlockable, I recommend you unlock it first, prior to flashing anything mentioned by sdembiske.
I recommend you also root the phone and install TWRP, just incase something goes wrong while flashing, you can easily recover the phone, and not have it completely destroyed.
Once you have rooted, unlocked bootloader, and installed TWRP, you can safely do literally anything on the phone
Flashing the rom can easily make your 700USD device worth 0, within seconds... so Please .... take the precautions.... and install TWRP
Cheers

LG Flash Tool has many more bricking issues than LGUP-NEW. If you ever decide you want to roll-back to 5.1, LGUP-NEW will throw up a roll-back version error if one is present - LG Flash Tool will not and will result in a bricked phone. Overall, your best and safest bet is to use LGUP-NEW.
One note: There are fraudulent sellers of supposed H815's out there and as you bought yours through auction there are no guarantees. To be on the safe side I would check with the seller to see if you can ascertain if he was the original owner and ask where the phone was purchased (what country) and who the original carrier was.

Before you do anything, be 100% sure what variant you have. To do so, please enter the following codes in the phone's dial pad:
*#546368#*815#
*#546368#*500#
If the first one works, you have the H815, if the second one works, you have the F500K ...

Power down the phone, pull off the back cover and take out the battery. There should be a white tag under it - make a note of all the letters and numbers there. Provided the tag hasn't been tampered with, it should provide a good idea of what model you have and help narrow down your search for a kdz/tot that will work. I would still check with the seller of the phone and seek some verification. If the auction site is reputable, you may have some recourse if the phone is not as it was sold as.

The member providing you with the codes to access the hidden menu seems to have forgotten that not all codes work for the same models (as he himself found out when he tried once before) - there are carrier firmware variations with locks imposed on being able to access some. IMEI's can be changed by 'snakeheads, pimps' ... and fraudulent sellers.
Frankly, you are lucky you haven't bricked your phone completely by flashing different model/carrier variants and if you had used the LG Flash Tool to install the H815 kdz variant he recommended, you most likely would have. The same member has, for a fact, provided misleading, misinformed and potentially very harmful advice to other less informed members.

Hey buddy, let's check whether your bootloader is unlockable before you do anything. Please download ADB (Android Debug Bridge)
Before we do anything, make sure "Enable OEM Unlock" and "USB Debugging" options are enabled.
Once you install ADB, open Command Prompt (Press Windows Key + R , then type 'cmd' and press Enter key)
Issue the following commands:
Code:
cd C:\adb
Code:
adb start-server
Code:
adb devices
At this point, your device should show up under the list of devices. If it doesn't issue the following commands to restart the ADB server:
Code:
adb kill-server
Code:
adb start-server
Then, check again whether the device is being detected
Code:
adb devices
If the device is not showing, please check whether drivers are properly installed
If the device is being shown, you can proceed to the following command:
Code:
adb reboot-bootloader
If the device just boots back to Android, then the bootloader is locked, and you could have any device aside from the H811 or H815 European version
If it boots into the bootloader, then you have either the H811 or the H815 European version, and you should be able to easily root, install TWRP and flash any variants kdz file.
Now, if you have got this far without booting back to Android, time to unlock bootloader:
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
Once complete, issue:
Code:
fastboot getvar unlock
If you get the message "Unlock: Yes", then you have successfully unlocked bootloader.
Hope this helps

Guys,
I used to be very good at rooting by in my HTC days (3 yrs ago). Not so much now a days :crying: I need some help.
I have the ATT LG G3 D850 (i believe) (16gb)
I rooted my phone a few months back. It was an app that did it quite easily for me. I downloaded and used root only apps like titanium back up with no problems.
I didn't download TWRP because at the time i don't believe it was available.
Anyways fast forward a few months and with lollipop out i thought i'd try to install TWRP and a rom that had android 5.0
I downloaded the TWRP app and then installed TWRP recovery through the app. (i listed my phone as D851 because i couldn't find D850 on the list)
Everything seemed to run fine and got a notification that the install was done successfully.
I tried to boot into recovery through the TWRP app and my phone did not boot! I get a message at the upper left corner of my phone that says:
: Boot Certification Verify
______________________________
Secure booting Error!
Cause : Boot Certification Verify
______________________________
and then my phone turns off.
What the hell did i do to my beautiful LG G3? Can someone help me fix this?
I greatly appreciate the help! This forum has always been so awesome!

Can you help Explain how I do this? What is KDZ?
You must check what exactly model you have. Then download a firmware in KDZ format and flash it through LG Flash Tool. Can't give you more details, because I never used that way of flashing new firmware
You flashed TWRP for the T-Mobile variant that ships with an unlocked bootloader, however your variant has a locked boot loader hence the boot Sig error. You need to flash back to stock with kdz and then flash bumped TWRP which works around the locked bootloader and allows you to flash Roms and kernals. You can download "bumped" TWRP here: http://downloads.codefi.re/thecubed/lg_g3/bump/, and here is the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/orig-development/bump-unlock-lg-g3-twrp-d852-d852g-f400-t2900614

If i flash back to stock, will my phone be functional again? Or do i need to flash "bumped TWRP"
what is "bumped TWRP" ?
Your phone will be functional again if you flash back to stock afterward if you want to flash roms you need to then install bumped TWRP. Bumped TWRP is a special version of TWRP that has been patched to make it possible to use on variants of the g3 with locked bootloaders like yours, by tricking the phone into thinking it is booting stock recovery. This will allow you to flash Roms and kernals that have been "bumped" and apply mods like you would normally be able to with TWRP. Bump is basically a bootloader unlock for your phone that let's you flash roms, kernals, and Recovery's.
---------- Post added at 12:52 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:16 PM ----------

You need to download the correct .kdz file for your variant. The .kdz is the complete stock firmware from LG. Also, if you really have an AT&T LG G3 (D850) it is a 32gb not 16gb version. If your phone only has 16gb of storage then you do not have a D850 and you need to go to your software information in the phone to verify what model you have. Do not flash anything for another variant as you see where that leads. Check back and let me know when you find out for sure which variant you have and I will point you to a specific thread for your device with step by step instructions on how to use the .kdz method to return to stock, then flash a Bump'd TWRP recovery so you can make a nandroid backup and save yourself from this mess again. I am also unsure if the .kdz restore method can be done on Mac, but I'm pretty sure it cannot be done considering the program provided is a Windows executable. Best of luck.

I cannot point you in the right direction without having an exact model variant number. You obviously don't have a D850, but there are a few 16gb variants out there. I would hate to be the cause of you further bricking your phone. The model number is listed on the IMEI sticker that's underneath the battery. My model says VS-985W since I have a white Verizon G3. Yours should say some model that starts with a D. This same number should also be plastered in multiple locations along the inside edge of the phone once the battery cover is removed.

Ok, so the white sticker underneath my battery says LG-D850. There's also some D850 small white markings on the body of the phone.
The sticker on the box that my phone came in says "SW Ver D85010d"

Can you post a screenshot or two of your Storage page? The D850 is the AT&T model but they only come in a 32gb ROM / 3gb Ram storage option. All U.S. variants are of this variety and you should have access to 32gb of internal storage.

Sorry about repeatedly asking you to get information from your phone, too many different posts to keep up with!

That link has everything you need to restore any variant back to stock. From there, you can root and Bump it if you want. Just download the KDZ from the link given in the OP of that thread. Make sure it says its for the D850 and try to find the earliest version possible if there are multiple options (eg. 10b instead of 10d if possible).

First of all: Do not continue if you don't know what a hard brick is!!!
so well its that simple: Either my method will work or fail.
Please follow the story here now:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/bl-unlock-unlock-bootloader-proof-t3648288
Previously this was the OP:
if not: this could result in a completely unusable device (soft or even hard bricks are possible)
If it works: you could unlock your phone in fastboot with a simple command - no unlock key is required (but even when the method WORKS its possible that this produces other issues. we can not know all impacts yet)
So AGAIN
The whole process is dangerous but the chance to get an unlocked phone would be worth it - maybe. It depends on you.
I can't test it atm by myself because my device is on its way to LG (due to another issue)..
My method does not modify something within the bootloader like others tried already - because this would definitively break the boot chain.
I will not release any details to the public until there is anything proofed or verified. The whole process is very risky and as said: I have currently no device to test it.
The only thing which is proofed is the theory. It should work as long as nothing unpredictable happens: As long as we do not own the complete sources of all parts of the boot chain there is still a risk.
Keeping the details under the hood is not to make things mysterious. It's just for safety reasons until I can proof anything.
If you still ask for details here or by PM they will not be answered.
If you not able to join an IRC channel you better leave it directly.
I'm not 24/7 online but usually from Mo-Fr for sure so it is important to wait for answers while in the IRC because depending on your timezone this can take some hours (hey I have to sleep somewhen!)
Once I have my device back from LG I can test the method by myself on a H815 EUR version. It doesn't matters that this can be officially unlocked though. The risks are the same.
So if you're too scared for the moment just wait about 2 weeks or so and then I can tell if it worked on my device at least.
.... and if you do not want to wait: Follow me into the IRC for instructions
If you never were in touch with IRC before here are some client examples for you:
PC (HexChat and Pidgin are only 2 of them! This list is not complete!)
Android (Yaaic, AndChat, HoloIRC, AndroIRC are only a few of them! This list is not complete!)
The IRC channel is: #Carbon-user
The IRC server network is: freenode
Once you're connected with the IRC network I need this from you:
your phone model
the currently installed EXACT firmware (link to the used KDZ would be most helpful. If you have none check the phone details and e.g. make screenshots)

It happened to mine 818p too, you need to disasseble it and short two pins on the motherboard while starting it. (They are in the upper left corner on the MB.) This page (forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f779/unbrick-lg-g4-brick-hs-usb-qdloader-9008-without-box-2211744/) has the entire process explained but I was unable to sucessfully use the QFIL app, it didnt recover anything, at least the phone was seen on PC as the 9008 serial port. Qcom 9008 mode? It could be fixed afaik.. You can also try the sdcard boot method for this kind of brick. you should try that first in any case..
I'm not sure if my method will work in that kind of brick mode you are in but if you nevertheless want to test you need Linux / best is using FWUL because it has everything needed inside.
Once ready went to IRC on Mo-Fr and stay until Im there.

it depends. When it stays in download mode without looping.. yes - maybe!
I need access to to the partitions which may work even in download mode via a special shell but it may requires MM and will not work for LL firmware (strange right? normally one would expect the other way around..).
That has to be tested though. On my device (locked H815) I had access but that may differ from other models.
Having root access makes things so much more easier
Testing if it would be possible on a bootlooping device would be simple:
You best use FWUL (recommended because here is all installed and working) or any other Linux with the LGLaf shell.
You would then connect while in download mode and you will have a shell like in adb.
I can guide you but again IRC is the best way to go here..
I'm searching since several days for such looping and even otherwise broken/defect devices but they all want to have a plenty of money for it (80-150 €!!)

Yes, QCOM 9008 mode. I can't flash the H815 image and make my G4 H815 again so, the only way to booting, it's flashing the LS991 image (and with Fastboot; I flashing every partition one by one).
I have Linux Mint whit adb/fastboot drivers, It's enough?

Yes. today I have bad and good news.
First of all I had 1 single tester who was brave enough going the first approach I had. Unfortunately my first idea failed.
JL if you see this come back I said I can unbrick your device!!!
Ok so the good news are: I'm able to give you a near unlocked experience with all the things you love like installing custom kernel, recovery and ROM. Without actually unlocking!!! It's all tested on a h815 device which was never unlocked !
Near unlocked means it will behave like an unlocked device without actually unlocking the bootloader. Or to say it in other words: The boot chain verification is ignored.
The bad news: the process is not cleaned out yet but it requires one thing for sure: it will convert your whole device bootloader stack. The basic idea is to replace the whole bootloader stack with a modified one which allows all the mentioned things.
That way is very risky and I HARD bricked my device over 30 times until getting to the finally working result.
It also means that once your device is converted there is no way back atm. Flashing an original kdz will BRICK your device in 9008 mode! Not that bad because you can recover at any time but that's one thing you have to have in mind. It may never be a h811, h812..... whatever again. Until we find a corresponding and working bootloader replacement which may never happen. So no LG up or LG flash tools anymore! Instead you will have the qfil tool.
Again I know no way back to original state so warranty will be very very likely refused once you do this. Ok there is a way to blank out all partitions just for the case you need to send it really back. This should delete then most traces of this hack but no guarantees.
Besides this I don't know if there are any issues in functionality after doing all this. I havent made any tests for this yet. That includes phone calls, WiFi etc. I just checked booting ROM, booting TWRP, flashing supersu, getting root.
I will upload a video asap to show you the current result.
I need to test things further and of course I need testers with other devices. Again that process is risky and even if it worked for me it may not work for you (very unlikely but who knows). Manually forcing the 9008 is very easy and it may be required to do so. This may requires opening the device (I think it will work even without but I need testers.. ) so if you want to test... See you in the IRC.
If all this is working and verified by others I will provide the whole story ofc!
....can't believe that all these above took me 5 days in full time of work. And for what? I mean I do not need it because I can unlock my device OFFICIALLY..
BUT it was all for educational learning. I learned really a LOT of android and qcom during all these hours ...
Ok but Now I need some couple of hours of sleep
See u on the other site..

Hi,
Sorry for very late reply. Never thought someone would care to help after such a long time.
I never tried LGUP because I cant find the right ROM for my device. Hardware info page shows H815 while on adb it shows up as LGF500L.....(last time I checked F500L is korean variant).
Also the device does not have recovery mode. When trying to boot into recovery a red exclamation comes up with "No command" written.

Sounds like it might be a 'frankenphone' - the only way to fully ascertain what the phone model actually is, is to open it up and see what is printed on the motherboard. Refer to this link on how to tear it down: https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/LG+G4+Teardown/42705
You can also then use SALT to ascertain what the GPT compatability is - that will tell you what roms are safe to flash in order to upgrade.

CPU-Z will not be reliable in the information it provides you as it only provides the information that has been installed on it. As I stated, the only way to truly ascertain is to strip it down and see what is printed on the motherboard - it is not difficult and there are no shortcuts to be 100% sure - if you don't do it the way I suggested, you run the risk of hard-bricking your phone when you flash something not meant for your phone. If you doubt me, check with steadfasterX, recognized developer who know this stuff inside-out ...

If your bootloader is actually unlocked, you should be able to - you should use the latest 'preview' version for the rom version you are planning to flash. Refer to this link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/development/recovery-twrp-3-touch-recovery-t3442424

When you say 'unlocked' you are referring to carrier/sim unlocked I presume. If you were actually bootloader unlocked, you should be be able to flash TWRP in fastboot mode.
Look, I'll say it again, strip your phone down and find out exactly what is stamped on the motherboard. The last thing you want to do is try and flash a rom from a different model than you actually have.
Then look for a MM 1220x up to 1220z rom for the phone model you actually have and upgrade it with LGUP-NEW. Then proceed to unlock your bootloader. If it is actually an H815 European version you should be able to unlock it officially on LG's site. If it another H815 version etc., you will have to unlock it unofficially with steadfasterX's UsU method BUT you must be on MM to avoid issues when installing any custom roms from then on.
Don't take any shortcuts.

Opened up the phone and found that it is H815 after all.
So can somebody now guide me to which rom/kdz I should use.

Here's a good site to download firmwares from: https://lg-firmwares.com/lg-h815-firmwares/firmwares/
Your looking for an H81520 with the latest alphabetical letter ... You'll have to decide on the one you want to try installing.

Thanks for the link.
So I may download kdz with H815 20 with latest alphabet (and no need to look particularly for H815 20h right).

Correct. You will not find a 20h as the lower letters are used for previous android versions, higher letters for newer versions.
You are forgetting the 'Thanks' button at the bottom right of the posts - it's a good habit to get into ...

As of today, the G710ULM bootloader cannot be unlocked.
I think its possible by remote unlocking.

Mr3p thanks for the quick response and this agrees with mostly everything I found on line. What's causing my confusion is I have a toggle in Settings/systems/developers options: enable OEM unlock. I can use adb to boot into fastboot without any trouble but the only patched image (patched_boot_10b.img) i have is for LM-710EM ver V10b. I want to make sure it is compatible with 710ulm. my full version number V10b-LAO-COM, Build# OPR1.170623.032. I would appreciate any input you have on this.
thanks
Zb
cheeze.keyk is correct that the G7ULM can be remote unlocked by loading a V35 engineering bootloader in place of your current bootloader. If you are comfortable having someone remotely access your phone via PC then it can be done, see link he referenced. My comments were regarding unlocking via normal LG unlocking process.
I'd have to look up that version number but doesn't match up with G7ULM. Can you do a screen shot where you are seeing it in your phone?
G710 ulm ?
Sure . You can .
At first, please update to 11b, i will show you. If u have telegram. Give me ur info.

11b? Current firmware for G710ULM is G710ULM10j
Is the unlock method you can't discuss here remote bootloader unlocking via v35 bootloader? If there is a way for us to do it ourselves I'm all ears.

No it will not work because your phone is a G710ULM just loaded with a different model firmware. My best suggestion would be to restore ULM firmware back on the phone.

It seems this was a unlocked or flashed US sprint phone if a previous life. not sure if it has a stock rom I can flash it with, LGUP seems fairly straight forward but I'm not sure what to flash it with. My IMEI says this model is an LGG710PM. again any suggestions from you would be appreciated.

Unless I missed something, that's the first you've mentioned that your phone is Sprint model. It may be out there somewhere or you may have better luck searching however I looked for Sprint .kdz a couple of weeks ago but couldn't find one. You haven't mentioned your wireless provider so it's hard to make a recommendation but if you can't locate Sprint model firmware, I would flash the phone with the latest G710ULM firmware as that's the carrier unlocked version and should have the greatest compatibility. I vaguely recall reading someone taking a phone like yours back to a Sprint store where they were able to flash the phone back to Sprint firmware so you might consider trying that also.

@mr3p you're correct I just learned it was sprint model when I went to lg's site to download the firmware to revert it back as you suggested with lgup. I had the J version 9G710ULM10j_00_NAO_US_OP_0219.kdz) but that is what bricked me, the only update that took was [GFI]G710ULM10g_00_NAO_US_OP_0913. I want to root my a50 soon. Is anyone have us model can root?
From what I understand this phone is very new. Not to mention that it's if you are on a U variant like I am sad there is no root because the bootloader is locked I believe. I was trying to confirm with an expert or someone who knows more than me. My variant is "SM-A505U1"
I just bought this model of phone.
I found this url.

All the steps are not clear to me though yet.
My phone has no oem or boot loader unlock options in the settings.
It also has knox which may complicate things.

Lol or simply download CSC file from a region different from your country e.g if in US download and flash an european CSC file via odin."
The snapdragon chip is locked only in the US per that post. I seem to remember something about a major security issue found in those chips.

I found this url on changing the csc,but it erases the config.
Maybe there is another method that does not do that such as the one mentioned above.
https://www.**********.com/how-to-change-csc-in-samsung-galaxy-phones/
Has anyone successfully flashed any combination firmware? I found this at halabtech, haven't tried to flash it. I thought I seen a bootloader unlock & root for ASH6 firmware I don't think it lets you downgrade though once you have the latest ASK1 firmware. I tried installing this one as well "https://support.halabtech.com/index.php?a=downloads&b=file&id=206734" the only part it failed on was on the boot.img.lz4 everything else flashed successfully. I hope this helps get a start to troubleshooting.
(ASH6 FIRMWARE) haven't tested yet. for A505U1 variant only!
https://support.halabtech.com/index.php?a=downloads&b=file&id=165842
Correction it seems that this is not a snapdragon chip.
I was able to look at the CSC by booting into safe mode and dialing the special number which includes the IMEI #.
They seemed to be all cscs in the US which is why they called it a "US version"
There are files that could be changed with the csc in them , but I don't know what the effect that would have. (maybe bad)
It seems that in the US version there is no OEM unlock option to change in the developer settings.
Also I have not found source code yet for this particular model. (SM-A505U1)
I tried all the root apk out there like kingo-root etc. None of them would root it.
It seems that to change the CSC, you need root access or an unlocked bootloader.
So that method will not work. It seems that unless samsung releases an upgrade that allows you to unlock the bootloader then we will have to wait. That is until
a new exploit is found, and released say via kingo-root etc.
I'm really dying waiting for opportunity to root this phone and make this phone runs so smooth
Here is one URl that provides a schematic for a related phone.

Is the boot loader stored inside the processor chip or on another one?

It's just a click bait article.
If you read it carefully, they're assuming there is already a BL unlock for the A505U variants, which doesn't exist at the moment.
I just got notification of an upgrade. I was hoping that the new version would have the oem unlock feature.
I had automatic upgrade turned off nad automatic download on. I was looking at the message, and it automatically scheduled the upgrade without my permission. So I ran the upgrade. It did not add the oem_unlock feature. Maybe next time. Hint! Hint!

I got notice of an upgrade today. I had it set to autodownload. It said that after the upgrade was applied that I could not downgrade. Also it said the I had only 3 chances. Last time it upgraded without my permission. So I turned of the autodownload in the settings.
If I knew the new version would enable an unlocking feature, then I, of course, would upgrade.
I found a trick to the no Unlock OEM option that worked so well I didnt believe it the first time. But my bootloader is unlocked and remains unlocked.
It seems that if you specify automatic download it will upgrade it even if you turn that off.
This latest upgrade still does not have the oem unlock feature. I made sure that my automatic download is turned off.
Automatic download also means automatic install. It seems to download the upgrade into a region of the file system which only root can read.

That method did not work for me. I tried it again and it did not work.
"Samsung allows unlocking the bootloader on the international versions of their phones. Perhaps it requires a samsung account. I do not have one on my phone. Incidentally I noticed that all my contacts had been uploaded to google. I would never have knowingly done that. I had to export my contacts to a file, delete all my contacts making sure then that google was not being used, and then import my contacts from the file that I had saved them to. I was worried that I would lose all my contacts, but fortunately that did not happen. It would probably be good to verify that the file exists and notate it location using a file system browser.

He's either bsing you or trolling or has a different variant.. the "trick" they use has been around a while now but only works on models that are actually unlockable.. the USA variants are NOT unlockable from the start so any tricks will not work.. simple as that.. this has been discussed for years and everywhere on xda as well as many discussions about this specific model.. if u want bl unlock purchase an unlockable variant..
Ppl seem to get confused cuz some devices in USA are exynos models so they think they can bl unlock them but this is not the case.. just bcuz a device is exynos doesn't make it unlockable.

I did some research before I bought it. I also bought it because I could use it on multiple carriers.
The rooted ones that I saw must have been nonUS versions. What a waste of money. I only bought it because I wanted to root it and put a custom rom on it. I did not want to wait for a linux phone and truly 5g phones are coming out now.
