What is the best rom+kernel combination for gaming you observed? - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

I know oneplus 3 is a beast and it runs almost every game. But there's also fact about fps, graphical fluidity, smoothness etc.
So in what rom or kernel or rom+kernel you got that buttery smooth gameplay?
I play Vainglory, but in almost all roms I am having little bit graphical lags.

Non-lagging 7.1 N7 2013 rom?

As title...
I find Lineage OS and Slim Rom all lag a little generally. Nothing too noticeable until you play a game like Dominations which becomes unplayable...I suspect the gpu isn't being used. Any suggestions for a rom which plays nicely on our device?
May you expect to much from the n7 for gaming.
I run tesla with glitch kernel and a bit oc, makes the device pretty snappy.
How come it runs fine on stock then? I assumed all roms would be an improvement.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-7-2013/development/rom-resurrection-remix-v5-8-0-t3507680
Resurrection Remix is great, and plays well with games!
I can only tell you about what I've done, and Resurrection Remix is great so far.
Not noticed any lag, in fact it's the fastest and smoothest my Nexus 7 has been for some time.
It's not 100% perfect but that may be as much to do with apps compatibility with Nougat as much as RR.

Haha. Thanks for your opinion
I've been looking into this as well since the "recommended" setting for pubg was medium...anyway i'll be talking outta my ass here.
i'll be comparing performance for older title like world of tank blitz and world of warship blitz that i set all the settings to max.
for older roms like sultan, fos and 3rd party rom rr, los ect....i really don't see any differences. they heat up the same, battery drain almost the same, about same fps(~50) ect. however, for 3rd party roms, they do give better features like build in tasker that can kill all other apps when you launch the game(which you can do by getting the real tasker for oos based rom).
do note that i did not purposely change the kernel, , i just follow the instruction and get the recommended kernel and add-on pack.
i did not try all the roms for op3 for obvious reasons, but i do notice pure oos based rom are little better than 3rd party, but only like 2-5fps increase. even so, it's also possible for stuff like viper4andriod, dolby mod ect that cause performance issue.
so the rom itself doesn't really contribute to better gaming, they are all fine(aside from certain buggy as hell roms).
BUT there is something you can do to increase gaming power on the op3. changing scheduler decrease lag a little, playing without case dissipate heat better, putting some thermal pad IN the phone(placebo maybe) does somewhat make it stable during long gaming. just my personal experience, no data to back it up.
p.s-don't water cooled the op3, that's how my screen came off.
tl;dr-all rom are equal for gaming.

Best Pie Rom?

I'm currently on Skydragon. Been using it for about 2 months and it's been great, besides a few negligible graphical glitches.
How's Havoc and Pixel Experience? Are they as stable with great performance and battery life as Skydragon?
Any other recommendations?
Skydragon definitely and I tried them all. Stability, customisation, smooth and no lag it's just butter flying !

What is the best Kernel for our Whyred?

We have some good Kernels for our Whyred. What is the best in your opinion?
Someone looks for performance, balance and only battery backup. I think we dont have a definitive solution.
I'm looking for performance and I'm currently using Kangaroo 5.1 OC version and I get around 6 hrs of SoT, on 4G all the time and mostly indoor use.

Kangaroox OC is the best Kernel for performance I think.
Overally best is icecold. Also purecaf is a really great kernel
There is no best, best is always relative

Kangaroo non-oc version seems to heat my device up much more than purecaf when using hotspot. So I just use purecaf as it heats less and gives slightly more fluid ui in my experience.
Everyone of them makes camera not to work?
I've tried Illusion, Agni, PureCaf, IceCold, basically all the major kernels with HavocOS and so far the best one I've found is KangarooX. I don't game at all on my phone but I prefer a smooth experience in daily use and KangarooX delivers that. It's the most well balanced kernel I've ever come across. No twiddling or tweaking, it just works fluidly day in, day out. No sudden lags or freezes, apps open almost instantly, animations are fluid and battery backup is pretty amazing. Better than IceCold whilst offering far more stable experience.
