My front speaker are much quieter than bottom speaker. Does anyone else have this issue?
It's not an issue, it's how it's supposed to work.
The top speaker is aimed at helping to give more boost and ambiance feedback, not meant to work alone.
It's normal.
The one near ear piece is facing you, while the one near charging port is going out to your right side.

Guys, the speaker on the z1c is only on the left side of the grill? if i tap it with my finger during gameplay, i cant hear a sound.
Should it be like this or are those speaker stereo and i have a faulty right speaker?

I think the speaker holes is only located there. The other parts are just for aesthetic purpose. I can tell that this is the same even on the HTC One as I had the device before I got the the z1 compact. Covering the right part of the speaker of the HTC One also stops the sound from coming out.

Hi Everybody,
is anyone else noticing the speaker grill hole aren't completely drilled through?
Also,
much more importantly,
is anyone else hearing a metallic grating noise when sound is played through the speakers? This isn't just high volume distortion, its constantly present even at low volumes. Very shrill, ratchety, and really annoying. Hoping to return and get a new unit if I'm not the only one with these problems.

I can't speak to the noise you're talking about, but the speakers not being drilled all the way through has been discussed several times before. The speakers don't go all the way across, so there's no need for the holes to be drilled all the way through. The extra holes are just cosmetic.
My 3a XL only seems to have sound out of one of the bottom speakers.
Is this correct or do i need to get it replaced?
If i place my finger over the bottom two speaker holes, i can only feel it out of one.

It has stereo speakers, one is the earpiece, the other is on the bottom right grill. The grill in the bottom left is not a speaker but the microphone for calls. There is another microphone on top, opposite to the headphones jack, probably used for video recording and noise reduction.

Thank you! That is what i thought i just wanted to confirm. I know some phones have dual speakers at the bottom.
The two grills threw me off.
I saw a lot of early articles that stated the stereo speakers were on the bottom. That just added to the confusion too.
Can anyone please confirm with the issue I'm facing. The up/front speaker on 7T has sound only on right side there is no output on left side of the speaker. Does it consists of mic along with it? Due to which left half is mic and right half is speaker? The lower speaker works perfectly. Please let me know if anyone is aware about it. Thanks in advance
Yes that's true. Apparently there are two speakers. In a calls the left side works( best sound placed ojln right ear).
While playing music the sound comes from the right side of the grill. I tested this by covering the right edge with ky finger
Hi everyone,
I tried a stereo speaker test (youtube) and I hear that the speaker on the bottom is always a bit louder than the one on the top, no matter what volume percentage I am on. It is not really noticeable in everyday use, but I am a bit paranoid if this is normal with the phone.
Could you tell me if this is also the case with your phones as well?
Thank you in advance.
Yes, it is normal on phones with stereo speakers.
That's cos the top one is an earpiece, not actually a speaker while the bottom one is a speaker, it has those little balls in the speaker housing too to boost audio. Checkout one of JerryRigEverything's teardowns if you've never seen that before.
Normal from my OnePlus experience.

Not only OnePlus. Had s10e before and had bottom speaker louder than the top one.
