hello guys. i just bought a G4. i plan to root it in a few days. i have heard alot about the g4 having a motherboard issue? is this true? i spent all my hard earned money on this so it can last me atleast a couple of years. how commmon is this? my phone is an international version with the code 506.
How common is this? Even h815t hong kong is having same issues on xda, i am worried if this is wide spread or few people, or specific behavior ?

As long as its come with warranty in your country they will fix it. If not, you decide yourself. I never have a phone that just died on me before like 7 months. My G4 believed to be the first batch 505. So no warranty for me.Because its given by LG before it selling.

yes...
it seem that the series concerned are 505 to 509 (june to september 2015) but i'm not sure ,need to be REALLY confirmed at 100 % !
but it sure at 100 % that 505 are concerned !
mine is 506 too but with the story of loose of warranty in case of bootloader unlocked ,i'm not fan at all to do this unlock...
I'm considering purchasing a nexus 7 2013 for my wife. How can I avoid purchasing one with the Touchscreen problem that is present in a number of them? (I already have one of those!)
Is there a serial number or other marker of the defective ones to avoid?
2015
Get 2015 unit...
I received another Nexus 7 (2013) (32Gb model this time) very recently, purchased from Argos in the UK (it does have December 2015 as the production date) and I have absolutely zero touchscreen issues with this hardware variant

Alright... So basically... I was on holidays in Dubai over the last few weeks. And, over there, I was lucky enough to buy a note 7 SM-N930FD, from an official Samsung store. I had bought the phone on the 28th of august.. before the recall. Now I'm back home, in the UK, reading about the note 7 recall and have absolutely no idea how to proceed. I don't want to send my note 7 back to Dubai because I'll have no phone in the meantime and it just seems like a lengthy process. Is there a way that I can maybe get my device exchanged here in the UK? Or what are my other options?

Samsung UK are being pressed to replace the handsets with local variants. If you don't mind a UK variant you should have no problems. (Initially Samsung refused to swap at all!)
A few have said that Samsung service providers are exploring swapping out for the same model but I can't see that working. Most companies of the world only swap out a device for the local variant available in the country you're doing the exchange.
contact Samsung is your best bet......
accept the local variant, thats all
The fastest way is to directly contact a Samsung
Its easy tho, I purchased note 7 from Kuwait now I am in India (my home country). Here, Samsung delayed sale of note 7 that means till now no official launch of note 7 nor they have started any recall (obvious, they haven't sell single note 7 here). Now my question is how should I go for replacement? Help

Thanks, fortunately one of my friend went Kuwait today so I send my phone with him. :victory:
Got a call from Samsung UK. Basically stated they can swap the dual sim phone for the one sold in europe so single sim - coral blue or black.
Asked about getting the dual sim as replacement and they said I would have to sort it out with the region the phone is bought from - so Qatar in my case.
Might just get the UK version with its two year warranty

if you mean all variants i think so am not sure on dual sims..
according to LG problem was fixed since october 2016. but even new phone still get bootloop. the latest ive remeber was a april-16
well its not 100% guarantee but ask for first 3 digits of serial number. and try getting newer.. or at least from 601
that meas 601 means 6 its year 2016 and 01 month january. so a 510 will be 2015 october. from 601 up. the better.
try getting a phone from your country, if you get a phone from other country you must send it there not your country. so as long as it has warranty send it and will be fixed.
My LG G4 (Verizon VS986) has been good to me. It came on MM but i ran the downgrade and went to stock 13b and then 13b rooted, and its been great. Never a single boot-loop, no problems at all. I do suggest, If you have the option to get a NON-Verizon variant, preferably one with an unlocked boot loader, I suggest going to that variant of G4. Unless you don't care about rooting, or any ROM's, then Verizon will do just fine!
don't buy a G4... they have extremely ****ty customer service, they lie a lot and the phone itself has tons of issue
Focus on any other brand except HTC
Would T-Mobile locked phone work with Slovak T-Mobile sim card?
Can you please clarify:
Where ( region/country) are you intending to use the phone. It feels like it's going to be in the country the SIM is from, is that right?
I ask as it maybe easier and less headache to convert the phone to a different region.
Im sure someone with my more knowledge and experience maybe able to help you more than it have.
I want use it in Slovakia with Slovak sim card.
If T-Mobile is your carrier in Slovakia, then yes it will work. You can verify this at a T-Mobile store just to make sure with the added assurance!
Seller from AliExpress said everything works perfect no problem don't vory and guy from TMobile Slovakia said we don't know but better buy phone from us

Only problem with buying from AliExpress, you can't be 100% sure that you will get what is described on the website. I have heard from some in these forums ordering from different websites that what they actually got was different from what was described. So yes, ordering from TMO would be best, but one way or another with the support of everyone here in XDA, you should be OK either way.

its ok. in EU always from oneplus.com.
1. In Slovakia we don't have offers like in USA. 2. I don't pay 1000€ for phone. 3. I buyed 4 phones from AliExpress without any problems, 1Poco 2Xiaomi and 1 OnePlus 6 that I use fourth year till now. 4. With this OnePlus 9 pro's is the biggest problem that people don't read full description and then are surprised when they become TMobile USA locked phone. 5. Mi question was would this phone work with Slovak sim card?
If you genuinely trust the buyer and that you're 100% confident you're going to receive a genuine TMO (le2127), then the choice is yours.
I feel that people are saying it maybe beneficial for you to buy directly OnePlus 9 Pro (EU) LE2123 (Global), LE2121 (India), LE2120(China)
As there could be a chance the seller has bought the phone from another region and converted it to TMO.
All I'm saying is be confident, ask for a picture of the box ( IMEI scrubbed out ), look for the phone model number, ask for a clear photo of the back of the phone, look for the model number at the back near the base of the phone.
The other benefit if you buying direct from OnePlus is you get a full 3 years warranty.
I agree with AndyC76, otherwise the phone should work with Slovakia TMO SIM card on TMO service.

I ordered new OnePlus 9 12/256 from TradingShenzen... But they sent a badly refurbished one with no original battery cover and also the camera lens was out of the phone when I opened the box.. Also, other lenses had fingerprints on lenses from the inside. Previously I ordered from there mi 11 ultra and 2 times it was a scam.. dust under the lens and so on.. so I do not recommend buying this from Chinese anymore. Buy it from oneplus site or for example, I bought OP 9 pro 8/128GB from here in Slovakia for 467€ from nay...
