Hi, so, just spent 10 minutes trying to figure out how to post on this site. (Although having posted before -_-)
Anyway, I recently got ahold of a BlackPhone 2, a phone that for some reason has a high value, but low interest. The problem it has is related to the speaker, the loudspeaker sounds muffled as if it had drowned in water. I looked online and couldn't find a replacement anywhere, there were hardly any videos of disassembling the phone nor any threads with pictures. So once the phone came to me (bought through eBay) I couldn't help but think it was Xperia inspired. The shape, materials, etc... With no help from the internet, I decided to disassemble the phone myself, it was easy, exactly like an Xperia...
Now I've found the speaker, exactly like an Xperia.... it's basically a small rectangular component with two pins sticking out on one side, they make contact with the smaller board on the bottom of the phone. I couldn't find a replacement part for this online, so I'm now wondering whether or not I could use another speaker with two pins in the same location? Such as an Xperia replacement part?
Thanks for any replies!

After a 4 month ordeal with a warranty repair, I finally got my Jasjar back. Although, it had a loose screen swivel mount. When I tore it apart (using the pdf service manual on this site ... thank you), I realized the warranty center (TOPP Solutions) had left out THREE of the five screws that hold the swivel mounts on !!! I have been searching everywhere I can think of for these very small specialized screws and have been unsuccessful. Has anyone found a place to purchase these? By the way, I've already checked with PDASmart, PocketPCTechs, Digi-Key and i-mate tech support. I've also attached the relevant images from the service manual to help identify what I'm referring to. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
...try any hardware shop. They've got 1000s of different types...
I truly wish it was that easy
These are so small that even the electronic shops I’ve stopped at look at me and laugh. At 1.6mm they are about the size of the screws on eyeglasses and about 1/2 the size of the small torx screws that hold the back on. Thanks for the suggestion, though.
...try this one
Electronic Products - Enclosure Assembly, Mechanical / Electro-Mechanical, Mechanical, Hardware, 1, Fastener - Screw - Sheet Metal Screw, M1.6 x 2.8mm, Type B, Philips, ... - www.electronicproducts.com/whatsins...
a little more help please?
Thank you very much for the source, although, I haven't been able to find it on the site. I've registered in electronicproducts.com and spent about an hour searching the site, but I must be dense since I can't find it.
Could you be so kind as to post the complete link, since the other link got cut off (www.electronicproducts.com/whatsins...)
The site looks like it has access to tonnes of components. Thanks again.

Hi guys,
The trackball on my Orbit has stopped recognising being rolled up, left or right, and the silver clickwheel is stiff. Is this repairable myself, or should I be looking at a new motherboard?
Cheers,
Nick
hey dontpannic, don't panic
at least not too hard.
It is possible to exchange the trackball unit. You can sell a new one on the internet (I bought one via eBay, it was in your country and very cheap) Allthough, it is kind of hard to get the old unit out of your phone. You will have to totally apart your phone, because the trackball unit is stick to the daughterboard which is behind the LCD
There are a number of guides to help you apart your phone, you can find it somewhere on this forum. Once apart, you can blow the dust out and uncover your current trackball (mine was kind of hidden ) Or you can get the whole trackball off the board and replace it.
(I should note I got my phone apart couple of times, so have some experience. It can be tricky)
ciao!
I agree with amfasis, it can be tricky but gets very easy once you've done it a couple of times and know what to expect (how much force to apply separating parts...)
Everything on the daughterboard is pretty open under the cover so I suspect something sticky got dripped in there (cola?) from the symptoms you mention.
I thought I had a problem with my daughterboard as well since I was getting random scrolling action in all applications, but it turned out I had some dirt stuck on the side of the screen giving a bad signal on the touchscreen.
I took apart my whole trackball and even took the silver cover off the silver scroll wheel toggle and took out the tiny spring... that was an adventure getting it all back together correctly after cleaning!
I chalk all of it up to an excellent learning experience and now have no fear of taking it all apart just to look at it again. You will too.
Good luck!
Thanks guys! Will give this a try and see what happens
I watched some tutorial videos on replacing both of these speakers on my incredible and it appeared to be rather simple. I attempted to do this myself and upon putting my phone back together I first received no volume, gave it another shot and received bare minimum volume. I double checked my settings and they were all maxed. This is the case on both speakers and I have tried and tried again. I have two incredibles so I have been testing different methods, making spacers to put under the speaker as well securing it with adhesive. I am at a loss but I love this phone too much to give up.
Anyone else go through this and possibly find a solution?
post the exact model spare parts you replaced old ones with and then do a test fit to see if the springs are making contact... if that doesnt work order a new pair perhaps the parts you got were defective...
I purchased both of the speakers from amazon.com. Here is the model number of the loud speaker. I am still trying to read the earpiece, I am looking for a magnifying glass. I might need glasses >.<
it reads
0001V6.3 0514C
7273247710632
This is the model number of the old loud speaker as the new one simply reads BCP
earpiece speaker - old blown one
211 341 0442
0031A2 0112C
my new earpiece does not have a model number on it but on amazon the ASIN is B007ORLHF4.
Well I am going to purchase these speakers again and give it another shot. In all honesty I replaced both speakers at the same time and they both gave me an issue. I feel as though it was something I did versus the quality of the product. How important is the step of adhesive? Maybe it was something I did wrong there.

Hello all I was wondering if anyone could help me in finding some replacement parts for my oppo find 7a. So what happened was the very tip of the 3.5mm audio jack on my POS headphones stuck in my phone while the rest of it came out. No matter what I did I couldn't get it out. It prevented me from making calls or obviously using the jack for headphones.
So I took it apart. I successfully removed it but in putting it back together the little button that actuates the power switch was not in place so I couldn't control the power button. I went back in and managed to break it off. One tiny little piece of plastic and the entire phone is now useless. So I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction of ordering a replacement part. I think I will have to order an entirely new little circuit board. I haven't found anything on Oppo's site, could anyone help me out?

I'd like to know this same information.
I have a bad usb/supply circuit board and i can't find any place to buy it.
Anyone who has got news on this? Myself, I am looking for a new cover for the camera (as in, the glass that is right above the lense sitting inside the back cover).
I found some parts on Ali Express (look for Original LCD Display +Digitizer touch Screen+frame by GD Technology Co., Ltd; the board's software unfortunately does not allow me to post full URLs yet).
In my case, I am not sure if the “frame” advertised above actually includes that little glass cover, or if there is an additional part I am looking for.
After I replaced battery (dead after 2 years) after 3 months the watch just fell apart, tearing in two one of the two thin flexible connector stripes that go from LCD to the main body. Where can I find a replacement part, or maybe someone has a dead Moto 360 for cheap so I can cannibalize it for the replacement? I thought of buying a new watch, but it's disappointing that the prices are high and there is almost no progress in functionality in 2.5 years. And cheap Chinese smartwatches are very bad. The only website that has "Watch LCD Screen and Digitizer Assembly" that I wound has it "out of stock".
Thanks, any advice appreciated.
while I don't have the answer to your question I can tell you why your watch fell apart after the repairs.
There are 4 tiny plastic retaining clips that need to be properly removed during disassembly, and then reinstalled during reassembly. They are very easy to loose if you don't know they are there, and pretty much all guides (including iFixIt) make no mention of the clips. I found the info on them by accident so I've been trying to spread the word on this important step.
+1 on those clips. I thought they were bits broken off as I removed the innards for the battery repair. Ended up with the watch in the same state as midirt; torn cables. As a result, I do now have a G1 360 available for parts (including a new battery, but minus those clips ) and two chargers. (If there is a more proper place to offer these up please accept my apologies and let me know where, I'll get it there).
