Hey Guys,
today I switched from RR-Remix back to the latest version of OOS. Everything went fine so far, but I have recognized that I have no access to the Google assistant anymore. I have not rooted my phone yet, OEM is unlocked and I have TWRP. But I don't think that this should be a problem since it worked on RR-Remix.
It would be nice if someone can help me
Sincerely,
Firnien

Same thing happened to me. Try clearing the Google app's data and force stopping. Then restart your phone and see if it works.

Thanks, I'll try it!
Also make sure your system language is set to English (US) the assistant seems to have problems for me in other languages.

Hi all, looking for a little help here.
My wife and I both have AT&T Galaxy S3 phones. We updated them both to Jellybean through Kies.
For some reason on my wife's phone, I can't update Google Now (google search). In the play store from her phone it says her device is not compatible. If I log into the play store from a computer, it shows her device is compatible but when I try to download it, it says oops and to try again later. I tried clearing cache and data on the phone but am still having the same issue.
I was able to update my phone to the new google now version with no issues.
Any suggestions?

I had issues with Google search FC'ing on me earlier. I used TiBu to uninstall it completely, then re-installed from Google Play. Fixed my issues. You can see if it will help you.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately these phones are stock (not rooted) so I don't have the option to uninstall. If it why my phone I would just root and try your suggestion.
Sadly, that is a no fly zone for my wife.
Hey I had this issue last night but I did Mr Robinsons method with the rooted official JB he provided and I was able to update the Google now as you described.
Anyone else have any suggestions? I can't root her phone so I need a non-root alternative.
This issue seems to have just resolved itself today. Checked my wife's phone when I got home from work and it let me update no problem. Thank you to those that offered suggestions.

If it happens again, try clearing data for Google search.

Has anyone encountered such? If yes what was the fix.
Thanks in advance.
Need a fix for this as well, please anyone?
Are you running stock or a custom rom?
https://www.androidpit.com/forum/597999/how-to-solve-google-play-error-927
The first solution worked for me.
Sometimes the first solution worked for me, but since I was working with custom roms I reflashed gapps and had no problem after that.
Tried those fixes above and when I went to remove Google account and clear the data and then re-add Google account it stays on "Checking Info" screen and does nothing, now I'm truly locked out...
I'm on stock rooted Rom

Have you made any progress?
hello all, I appreciate any help you can give me. I also apologize if this has already been answered, as I couldn't find anything that worked for me.
I've recently been logged out of Snapchat, and when I tried to log back in, I was met with an error, which seems to be a pretty common issue with Xposed users.
so since I have the Verizon g4, I cant flash the uninstall zip with a custom recovery. FlashFire allows me to choose the zip and it appears to shut down and then turn back on ~45 seconds later, but the Xposed framework is still installed. I read another thread where someone mentioned that updating to v79 of Xposed and then uninstalling worked, but it doesn't work for me, as v74 is still installed.
I'm lost on options at the moment, besides a factory reset

It's working fine for me now. I didn't removed my G account.
Same problem here. clearing cache, relinking gaccount doesn't help. Interestingly he was able to download all apps from backup, however updating one app does not work (android system webview). error 492

it was a bug in nougat! so I doubt it will work. No temporary solutions work. some say turning on battery saver let's them download. keep trying if u get any fix. Or else u have to have a WiFi network to download the apps from play store !

if you have the time and patience, try clean flashing or sideloading and then factory resetting the cell and starting fresh ! might be then you have some luck ! nothing wrong in trying to start all over again if u have the time ?
Hey,
i have some problems with my device (Exynos)
Bixby and Google Assistant stopped working.
I can ask bixby to turn on flashlight, but as soon as i ask something like the weather it just crash.
Google Assistant stopped working completly, i can open it, but it just dissapear und closes.
Further i can use apps like tiktok, but when i switch to another app and back, it hangs and just crash.
if i press restart phone, it shuts down but wont boot until i hold power
other things seem to be working fine
i havent changed anything.
As ive got a lot of apps and data i want to make sure i try everything before i reset my phone (and want to make sure the problem wont persist after reset)
thanks
I think it's because of a wrong update of Android System WebView, so probably you won't be able to solve the problem by resetting your phone
