Howdy all. I have been experiencing signal strength and drop issue since updating to Nougat. The phone will suddenly lose its LTE connection and stay on 3G until I restart. Areas where i previously had a good signal now show no signal at all. I remember there was an issue which cause modem problems in our devices after an update. I do have TWRP and Magisk root installed on my device. But it does pass safetynet check "if that matters).
So, my signal issues have gotten worse. I can still get LTE, but only at my house and its a weak signal. I have noticed the only LTE signal my 10 picks up is on Band 25. I wonder if the Sprint version is locked to a single band only?
The device seems to get stuck on 3G mode now. In an area with sparse LTE coverage, it will switch to 3G, but not connect to LTE again even if in range. Only a restart fixes that problem.

I just unlocked my lg nitro hd and i either have no signal or 1-2 bars, rarely 3 bars. I also have to search networks and register on t-mobile everytime my signal is gone.
Signal always goes out in about 2 mins and Wifi is working fine.
Network mode is set at LTE / WCDMA / GSM
I'm running cyanogenmod 9.0
Baseband-V10j
I also resetted it to stock and i still get the same signals.
When i slip the sim card into my nexus one, i get 4 bars.
Any solutions?
thanks
Nitro HD doesn't support T-Mobile 3G frequencies, so you will only be able to connect to 2G towers. I'm assuming the distinction is that the Nexus One is connecting to a 3G tower which is closer to you.
Everytime I walk into a closed building with other people my G3 is always the first phone to lose data connectivity.
Other times, it shows full HSDPA+ signal, but data il painfully slow as well. I live in a densely populated city where signal should NOT be a problem. I am currently on V10j-global and kernel 3.4.0
Same problem here, my old phone (HTC one) has 4G signal in my apartment, whereas G3 does not, with the same SIM card
No issues here. Reception is the same like on other phones.
Have you tried flashing latest Kitkat firmware?
I have the N900T, stock OB6 , unrooted, sim unlocked and on the cricket network. The LTE signal always reads full signal at the top of the screen. If it switches to HSPA+ it will read 4G and the signal will fluctuate like it should and appears to be accurate. While on LTE I am also getting slow speeds, but it is sporadic. I am supposed to get 8Mbps down and around 5Mbps up. I am not even close to that most of the time, although sometimes I will get those speeds. So this may be a network issue, I will see if this clears up. Has anyone else had an issue with the LTE signal bars being inaccurate?

One thing you can check, is the actual signal levels. In the dialer (phone app), dial *#0011# and take a screenshot. This will show both your signal bars, and the actual signal levels (look for RSRP, RSRQ, and SNR). Do this first in a place where you know for sure that your signal should be full bars, then do it again in places where you believe it likely isn't. This will provide good indication on whether it's an actual signal issue, or you're just hitting towers that may not have the bandwidth available.
Anyone else on the ATT G4 having problems with LTE connectivity? In areas where I'd usually get 5 bars of LTE service, a majority of the time I get 2 or 3 bars of Edge service. Putting it into airplane mode and back out doesn't help, turning mobile data on and off doesn't help, and neither does removing the SIM card (and reseting the phone in the process). It seems to come and go whenever it wants to.

All I can guess is, it's probably just the ATT network itself. They did some upgrades around here a while once Cspire started hyping their fiber optic network and I noticed on my older phone that in areas where I used to get 3G I was stuck getting edge. Even with my G4 I can park in perfect view of a known ATT tower and it'll hit 4G and within a minute be down to 3G - same with strength. Get 5 bars, don't move, no data, no call, and it'll drop down to no bars but still connected and bounce around, usually settling at 2 or 3. Even though ATT says they have full LTE out here I rarely actually see the LTE logo display in the status bar.
I've been using OpenSignal to try to map out coverage areas though, been pretty handy in finding towers and chasing stronger signal
Hi sir
I m using lg g4 h810 AT&T it was working well one day i put a memory card in it signal disappear never came go to software and hardware experts but nobody has solved my problem all other functions of cell phone working properly
I recently purchased an HTC 10 from UAE. I am experiencing problems with LTE signals. I am running stock Android Nougat 7.0 with January 2017 security patch. If i go to some area where there is no LTE coverage then my phone data connection doesn't work which is perfectly fine but when i go back to an area where there is strong LTE coverage my phone doesn't get back LTE signals. I have to turn the airplane mode on and off in order get back LTE signals. Phone itself should get back LTE signals automatically when it is in an area where there is strong LTE coverage. If i dial *#*#4636#*#* and go to Phone information it says Data Technology is unknown until i turn on and off airplane mode. I have triple checked my APN settings they are perfectly fine.
Also sometime when i am in an area where there is strong LTE coverage even then my phone automatically stops getting LTE signals . My friends are using the same network that i am using on different smartphones and they're not experiencing this kind of problem.
Does anyone experiencing this kind of problem?
