Hello
Today I got used Wileyfox Swift.
But it has a defect: There is no signal on my sim card (My simcard is 3 part nano with adapter - it works normally in Xperia Z Ultra.)
The card is found in the system, but have no signal.
I noticed that the chip card touches only 3 pins in the slot (one touches the adapter - plastic).
Can this be blamed on the lack of signal? - maybe something else?
The phone was running 6.0.1, I did factory reset, I also tried andoida 7.1.1 - nothing changed.
Any tips? - please help
Thanks SkylinerPL :3

Hi, I was using my Z1 compact today, waiting in line for lunch, and all of a sudden got a SIM card not detected error. I rebooted, nothing. I took out my sim and reinserted. Nothing. No sim card detected, emergency calls only.
Do I have a hardware problem?
--When I first got the phone, running stock, I had this problem intermittently. But I chalked this up to using a SIM card adapter (I had a nano sim inside a microsim adapter).
--Currently I am running a CM11 ROM.
--I changed to a different CM11 based rom (AOKP) from 4/30 and still no SIM detected.
--I actually have a microsim, no adapter needed, and it too is not detected.
--I put in my original nano sim inside an iPhone and the iPhone detects the SIM just fine.
So I know the problem is not the SIM itself.
I feel very sure it's not a ROM problem.
But then that leaves a hardware problem--how often does this happen?
Thanks!
I have a problem using My micro-SIM card on my new Sony Xperia T2 Ultra (Android 4.3)
The problem is: when i insert the SIM card, the phone display a message that the SIM card has been inserted, and restarts... then after the restart, displays 'SIM card removed' and restarts!
Notes:
1-The SIM card works perfectly on other phones.
2-The shop where my father bought the phone had pictures and some videos before i received it.
My SIM card works on previous Smartphones,
I have Factory Reseted the Phone.
My Phone is Unlocked Aswell ,
Thank You For Solutions.

Hi all,
Writing this down to help. I was using ZF2 with no issues, working perfectly fine. Then I have to travel and bought second sim to save on roaming. Now when i used this sim , I started facing issues of sim not installed in the same slot1 where my original sim worked fine. My other sim was now in slot2 and working fine. So i got both sims out to check. Ok the issue was the difference in width of sim card. My original sim card is slightly more big then the new one. So the sim slot1 hangs to bulkier sim perfectly fine but my new sim card would not get hold in slot1. It would look like as sim is locked in slot but if you drag it back it will come out. Therfore with some bumps in your pocket phone will show no sim card installed. How i handled, i put a small piece of plastic between both sim slots which keep sims tight and working always.
Nutshell if you see sim not installed issue check that sim is perfectly fitted in slot.
Yep, had the same issue several times. Opened up the back cover, refitted sim and it worked again. happens on irregular Intervals..
Use a piece of paper to ensure that the sim remains fixed.. Used to be a bother but now it's just fine..
I have not faced this issue yet, But my Back cover has two small Rubber bars which seem to take care of the SIMs (I guess)
For a little comtext: My wife. And purchased an LG Nexus 5, each, via Google ProjectFi about 9 months ago. We have been happy with the service and aside from little issues (like no audio hardware buttons after recent upgrade in December 2016 on the Android Beta Program; we have been happy.
My wife, today at work, messages me (via WiFi) that her phone said "No SIM cars detected". When she got he we took out her SIM card and re-inserted. Then restarted to no avail. So then I opened the phone app and ended "*#*$4636*#" to enter Testing. Her settings where the same as mine (my Mobile network was working).
So, I took out my SIM card and inserted her's into mine.. And it worked! So it wasn't a bad SIM card.
My next step was to use my SIM card holder and use it with her SIM card in her phone (and use her holder with my SIM on my phone). Well then! It works both of us and now I have no one that works. All I can think of is that the slot where you insert the SIM card on her phone us warped and nine is in perfect condition condition.
If anyone has any theories, please let me know. Aside from that, I hope that helps someone.
(I'm sure there are duplicate threads- this thread is a tad different as I explained briefly the problem with my quick resolution/solution).-bj
Hey guys,
did anyone tried to use 2 simcards and sdcard with the new 2017 A series phones? with the sim card cut and glued to sdcard method?
I tried it, but for some reasons the phone doesn't see the sim card glued to the sdcard. I tried the sim in another phone ( normal microsim slot ), and it works.
I was thinking, maybe Samsung disabled this feature from firmware... curios if anyone got it working.
Thanks.
did anyone tried?
sorry to bump an old thread - i have a 2017 A3 and have the same inquiry. did anyone try this and succeed ?

I think i read somwhere that the sim might be pushing the sd card away of the pins. Maybe adding tape over the top of the sd might resolve it.

I've tried nano sim card adapter/extender and it's work just fine. You can buy one of them at aliexpress.com :fingers-crossed:
it works

I can confirm that it works! both, the 2 sims and the sd-card are working flawlessly!
The whole process might appear a bit risky but in my case it was absolutely easy and the result is great!
I´m using an SAMSUNG 64gb sd-card - i only sanded off the small upstand at the end of the card by using an nail-file.
For getting the chip out of the sim, a simple hair-dryer with approx. 60°-80°C worked!
