i try looking around but some of the guides are different and a bit confusing
Make sure you put questions in the Q&A section next time.
Rooting thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342728
MIUI Thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1390057
Read, read, read, and read some more.
---My opinion for the easiest way to root is:
-Odin a pre-rooted rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1433101)
-Flash CWM with the auto-root method (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342728)
-Then flash the custom rom you want (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1390057)
^ great post..... thx for help

Where is 2.3.2? I m having trouble rooting with 2.3.3
some people said it has to do with security issue?
Anyone has a back up of 2.3.2 so I can try?
On the 2.3.3 I'm stuck on step 7...
I can look on my laptop when I get back to it tonight. It might be 2.3.2.
If you can't get superoneclick to work at all try DoomLord. I got impatient and rooted with DoomLord. It worked on the first try.
Sent from my LG-P930 using xda app-developers app
so instead of typing that into google or bing, finding several 2.3.2 sites to choose to download it from, doing that and getting on, you choose to start a thread and expect someone to upload a copy and you'll just wait for them to take care of it for you.
got it.

Well what version is your phones software? If its v10J I've read its unrootable and so I used the ubricking guide sticky at the top to downgrade my phone to the Korean rom and get root and ADB'd back to stock ATT 2.3.5. But to answer your question you can get Superoneclick 2.3.2 from - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1597488 the nitro unbrick guide sticky its in post #1 try mirror 2 it worked for me.
dude? I actually searched several different websites. The official download from the website leads to some random weird website. Found one on 4shared but the link isn't working, another one on 4shared and it's dead. I also went to a website under a user signature which lead to a german forum, link also dead...

As far as I know and I'm not 100% sure but SuperOneClick does not work for this phone, thats the understanding I have or we'd all be done with posting the same question that I have been guilty of posting and that is 'How to Root' our LG Nitro HD/ LG Optimus LTE or what ever they want to call our phones lol

You don't need it. In other words its not needed to root. Besides it only worked on ATT's v10f Gingerbread dated Nov 2011. Any newer version, doesn't work.

He wants a ROM that can be pushed/flashed through ODIN, I think...
My question is do you have Mobile ODIN Lite, or Pro? If Pro, MO will root the ROM for you as it's being flashed....best money I've spent on an apk (along with the pro versions of several other XDA Developer developed apks)! If you're Lite, you may need to root after flashing the ROM I linked to, below (if you want the latest official TW build).

Did you read through all of the posts on the threads you went to? More often than not, someone else has experienced the same issue and a solution has already been found. You should not do anything on your phone until you are as prepared as possible in knowing what you'll do and what to expect - including the possible negative outcomes.
You obviously have access to the forums, so why not put ODIN on that PC and start over?

Not unless i get a pc and Odin or i can find signed flashable cwm or rom that i can flash in stock recovery.
Right now all i can get is stock recover(because rom did not flash) and download mode.
I have another unrooted S3 and rooted S2,i wonder if its possible to root a android phone from another android phone by terminal and by connecting two phones together with usb,can it be done?

I could see MAYBE being possible on an older/less secure phone where the superoneclick or zergrush exploit worked but in this case no way unless your kernel is insecure and looking at both roms you were linked to, yours is not.
altho u say u flashed the rooted one so u probably have root and just can't boot. How far do you get into the boot process. Cuz if i had to guess you flashed the Rom and didn't wipe data and you're hanging on the glowing Samsung logo. Some hope lies there. If im right, try wiping data in stock recovery. Either way what your attempting may just be possible so report back

Hi guys,
I have recently added support for the Galaxy S3 for my Android ROM kitchen, and have confirmed that ROMs can successfully be built and flashed for the GS3 variants for AT&T, T-Mobile and International.
Since I don't have the Sprint device, I was wondering if some of you can confirm it works for the SPH-L710 (and also the C Spire SCH-L710).
Please follow the instructions below to use the kitchen for your GS3. These are T-Mobile instructions but should also work for the Sprint model:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1939420
Would be greatly appreciated!
No one wants to give this a shot? It should definitely work, since the file format of the Sprint S3 custom ROMs are similar to that of the other S3 variants.

No ROM customizing experience required, maybe some basic Linux/UNIX command knowledge... but the FAQ should help you out.

Running this right now on a Linux box(Mint 13 Cin.). Will report back. Attempting to do the latest jelly bean leak.
How'd it go? Make sure you have latest version of kitchen.
Ran it and it wouldn't flash on my phone. Attempting to use my windows box just to see if it wasn't something that I did that made it not work.
Same thing happened on my other box. Keeps failing when it says updating cache. Says it expects an arguement of four but is only getting three.

Updating cache? What did you try to do to your rom? Did you start with a stock, unmodified rom? The error about the arguments has to do with the update-binary, but first I need to know what you are doing. Simplest thing to do is to just root it and then flash that.
I am definitely interested in this. I'll try to get it prepped if the gf relinquishes my pc to me =(. Wb dsixda. Saw your kitchen was on hiatus before. Now to cook up some custom roms for myself and friends.

I had the stock deodexed LIH update. It was in zip format. All I did was run it through the kitchen. (Make a working folder and the option 99 to build from working folder). I made no edits whatsoever. I used the interactive mode to build the rom. Both times, it failed on me with the same code. I can upload the update-binary from the one I built if that will help.

No no... that's not the way I intended it. I linked a guide on the first post, please do not ignore the instructions. The kitchen will not work with someone else's zipped ROM - everyone uses their own methods. Start with an untouched stock ROM image and root it, then flash it.

Ok got it. Read the instructions wrong. Only have the LG8 in tar format that I will try. I flash this via odin when I have problems. Will report back.
Ran the odin files through the kitchen and the rom booted up just fine.
