Hello. A couple days ago I updated stock Android and flashed the radio from xxla2 to the latest. It seemed that things were going well except that it wasn't connecting to the T-Mobile network.
I know that I messed up when I was getting ready to install, and had formatted system when I was clearing the caches.
Tried a number of things, flashing the radio back to what it was..entering the # # 36 ..etc code, whatever it is. Tried airplane mode toggles, tried available networks refresh, and on and on. Still getting a triangle saying "Selected network (T-Mobile) unavailable."
I've also contacted t-mobile to make sure that there isn't an account issue or something.
Any ideas of what I could attempt to restore service?
Hello, I am currently running CyanogenMod11 build 2/16 with SafeStrap on my rooted Fire Phone with GApps with a T-Mobile SIM card installed. The problem is that when I set my preferred network type to LTE, within seconds, my phone goes into a bootloop and will not stop unless I eject the SIM card and set the network type back to 3G. I have tried choosing the correct APN and set the Network Operator to both Automatic and T-Mobile. I have also tried to wipe the Dalvik Cache but to no avail. I have also reinstalled CyanogenMod11 over and over again and verified the MD5. Any suggestions? Are there any root apps that may fix this problem? This did not happen when I used the stock FireOS, 4G LTE was running perfectly.
This is a known issue with the T-Mobile personal cellspot.

Hi, I have a problem with my device. Disclaimer: I'm very noob so please be patient.
I'm starting to get SIM CARD REMOVED error since i changed my network provider. My previous sim card was not LTE, just 3g and it had no problem with the device. The new sim card is LTE. It took me literally 5 days after enjoying the new network provider till my device acting weirdly.
Before changing, I upgraded to MM. Originally my device does not support LTE, but then I played with the system (sorry for bad terminologies) and make the feature available. No problem detected with old sim card.
So, I tried the old fashioned way; Hard Reset. I had the device reset twice but nothing changes. Frustrated of the constant automatic reboot, I wiped all system, delvik, cache, etc using TWRP. Then i installed CM13 and use it as my OS. It works well. I got the signal with LTE data. Realizing that the ROM does not come along with Google Play Store, i installed gapps. Soon after restarting the phone, the signal only lasts for an hour then it says " NO DATA SIM". I figured a temporary solution which is, rebooting the device after you lost the signal. It is just temporary though. The signal will once again lost.
What I have tried: 1) Locking the simcard while the phone still got its signal.
2) Changing values using this guide-> http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/help/annoying-lg-g3-problem-lte-signal-solved-t3293721
* My sim reader does not seem to be having any defect.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Hey all, I'm a Canadian truck driver that has an (unlocked) S7 Active (on T-Mobile) that I've recently upgraded to Oreo via Odin. The phone works better than ever except now when I'm in Canada, network data no longer works properly. I say properly because every once in a while it will connect long enough to receive a few emails then will disconnect again. But most of the time it just doesn't connect. The data roaming worked perfectly on Nougat (BRA7).
Here's what i've done so far:
Clean install of Oreo (CRE7) via Odin 3.13.1
Factory reset via recovery
Cleared Cache via recovery
Data doesn't connect properly.
Downloaded CRE7 again in case it was a bad download.
Repeated the flashing, factory reset, and clearing of the cache just in case something went wrong.
Data still not working properly.
Updated from CRE7 to CRH1
Updated from CRH1 to CRJ1
Cleared cache
Restarted phone, cycled airplane mode, #766#
Data still not working properly
Bought a new SIM thinking that may be the problem. But no change with the data.
And yes mobile data and international data are turned on in the phone.
When I flashed the phone I was at home in Canada. So I thought maybe it would have to connect to a T-Mobile tower to get the proper network settings. So on my next trip to the US, the data worked perfectly in the US once it connected to a T-mobile tower. But once back in Canada it stopped working again.
When I manually try to switch to a Canadian network (Bell, Telus or Rogers), I will get the message "Disconnect Network... Unable to search for networks while data service is in use. Stop using current data service and search for other available networks?" Which I find strange because the phone isn't connected to data.
I have found a temp solution to getting the LTE to work by opening an app that requires location data (in my case it was Weigh My Truck), and that seems to force the phone to connect to the LTE network.
I've bought a 2nd s7 active to have as a spare phone and won't be updating it until Oreo is 100% stable on the S7 active.
Does anyone else have this issue? Is there a permanent fix?
I'm gonna lose my mind.
Last week I did a factory reset. Everything was great for a few days. Then as of Monday, my phone no longer connected to mobile network. (I'm on Visible, which is a Verizon MVNO.)
I tried the same SIM card in another phone, and it worked — but a different SIM card did not work in my phone. So it must be the phone, right?
I looked at About phone > SIM card status:
Network: Visible
Mobile network state: Disconnected
Service state: In service
IMS reg status: Registered
Signal strength: -113 dbm
Network Cell Info Lite app showed the nearest tower and:
SIM state: Ready
Service state: In-Service
I tried resetting network settings and restarting in safe mode, but that didn't help. Visible said to take the phone in to Samsung repair center.
So I did that. They ran a diagnostic, and said everything was fine. They said try factory reset again.
So I factory reset the phone, again, from recovery mode, wiping with cache several times.
After, service was working. Yay!
But then a few hours later, the battery died, and ipon powering back up, I AGAIN no longer have cell service!
Could it be related to adding a work profile? Enabling dev mode?
Any bloody idea what is happening??
I'm loathe to do another factory reset, as it takes me half a day to set up everything again (Work profile authentication, etc.)
Please help save my sanity.
Thanks!

Try playing about with this app, it allows you to force the phone to connect to specific network bands, possible you could force it to reconnect when it drops out
Samsung Band Selection - Apps on Google Play
This app will help you access hidden network settings for forcing band selection
play.google.com
SOLVED!
I popped in a SIM from a different carrier, causing phone to restart, then put back the Visible SIM, forcing phone to re-retrieve settings.
Whew!
Couldve been a CSC issue?

Congrats to you, but my problem didn't solved yet...
@*Detection* i have tried this app many times but didn't worked for me... maybe i have lost my IMEI & device is just showing dummy IMEI though IMEI is same after & before flashing the ROM but when i flashed the IMEI went to NULL in settings then after applying essential fix IMEI came back it also detect the sim but not picking the cellular network only showing the name of network...
