N1020 speaker volume - Windows 10 Mobile

Is there any tweaks, patch to solve the very low speaker (at the top front) of Lumia 1020? It's the only thing that makes me think of having another phone. Tsk

Sound of internal speakerphone

my p3300 have really good sound (when you phone someone), but i did not like that sound have too much lower frequencies. it similar to old siemens (by sound).
for example, my previous nokia have much more upper freqs and it's seems more suitable for me. (upper freqs add some high-freq noise, but it's better than cut them all).
for S200, afair, present some tuning for this:
HKLM/Software/HTC/SWHighPass
"CutOffFrequency"=1200 // suggested value
but p3300 did not affected by this tune.
anyone know how to add upper freqs to voice during phone conversation?
thx!

Volume reduction in Froyo?

Has anyone noticed that the volume is lower in Froyo than it was in Eclair?
I've tried a number of different apps (built in player, tunewiki etc.) and there seems to be a definite reduction in the volume since upgrading. Any ideas?
i was going to post a thread saying volume is much better!
earlier on 2.1 it was crap for me. now both in call volume and media volume are much better and in call volume is clearer. the rear speaker sounds less tinny and is passable now. the shrill hiss / tinny sound at max volume is gone now totally since froyo update i think atleast on the tracks i listed to (preinstalled music and soem youtube videos). i was infact thinking i might reduce the volume a bit which seems a bit of a shock to me knowing the crap rear speaker dished out with the desire. earlier i had said elsewhere that this was the worst speaker i had seen on a phone compared to any of my phones in the last decade, but now i retract that statement. looks like it was a software issue.
i had before the froyo update installed the free 'car mode' app that uses the rear speaker, i would use that mode when ever i put the phone in my trouser pocket as otherwise i would never hear the notifications and often the ring if i was out and about. then after fiddling around i found some sound settings which wasnt obvious at first and disabled the default tick box that made the ring volume and notification volume the same. after disabling that tick box then i could independently adjust the notification volume.
also before the froyo update i installed the free 'quick settings' app which under its settings has a setting for sound, under that apart from the usual volume controls, it has a separate control for system volume which i couldnt find elsewhere on the phone and after increasing that system volume to max, the volume output improved from the rear speakers.
but after froyo it is even better now, both for call volume from earpiece and rear speaker. i cant comment about the earphones as have never used them yet and still in its packet somewhere. wish there was a way to use the fm radio without needing the earphones.
Interesting..I'm specifically speaking of the headphone volume and the ringer volume. It's certainly lower (around 30% lower than 2.1).
I do agree the output from the inbuilt speaker is improved.
Upon further research, I have seen others mention similar issues and also relating to the quality of the sound. I've also seen custom roms using pershoot's audio mod which is supposed to increase loudness. Can this be applied to a stock 2.2 rom (rooted of course)?

Low Call Volume - question on speakers

Hi Guys
my mates defy is presenting a VERY low call volume - you can hardly hear them even in a quiet room and thats on max volume.
Does anyone know if the speaker at the top of the phone (where you put your ear against) is a diferent speaker than the one used for system sounds i.e. when you select menu items and you get a "click"?
If it is diferent then its possible the speaker has blown, if its the same then the speaker is working and it must be an O/S issue.
Thanks!
Your friend can try other rom to take a test.. internal speaker is common weakness in defy.. some users (if you read gsm arena) lost their internal (call) speaker function.. hardware problem..

Win 10 Microphone Registry Entry

Hey, Guys!
I was wondering if someone would know where i can find the registry entry responsable for the mic volume?
My Lumia 930 has a issue with its microphone (the microphone recorded sound is really really low) and i thought about it and there may be a way to fix it by software, cause i don't wanna send it to the repair center.
(Oh, it's clearly a hardware problem).
(off, but related) i want to increase the amount of time the music controls stay on the screen after i press the volume rocker, been through a lot of registry entries, no luck so far. any ideas?
I had similar idea, but instead of increasing sensitivity I thought of simply changing the microphone that is used for hands-free talk from the malfunctioning top one to the bottom one. Anyone found that registry key?
use old nokia camera for video rec.
There is no such a thing like microphone listed in registry
"the microphone recorded sound is really really low" - HW fault

Front facing top speaker louder than bottom one after G960FXXU1ARC5 update

Is it just me or after the update the balance shifted to the earpiece speaker which seems now a bit louder than the bottom one ?
It's not a huge difference, maybe someone else noticed this also ?
Tried turning dolby on/off, did not seem to matter. I don't see any setting for balance when on loudspeakers (is there any ?).
Yeah
I have the same thing.
