[Q] I think I messed up.

Alright, so I got my G2 and I used visionary + for temproot. Then I was like yeah that's simple so I tried a permaroot and it froze up on me and rebooted now it will not reboot past the HTC logo screen. I have googled a lot and I can't really come up with anything so I was wondering if this would have to be my last shot. I'm not really familiar with this phone so I don't knjow what to do but anyone know how to fix it? I don't have a custom recovery or rom.... Idk what do... Please help, thanks

You shoudnt have used Visionary . it is well known that it could mess up your phone.
The bad news is since you dont have a costum recovery or eng hboot ,yes you have bricked your phone, but the good news is, now you can fix it by installing the new shipped gingerbread.
but it is not rooted yet ,so you wont be able to root after that,but hey, its better than a bricked phone right?

You dont need to use ADB for this, download the PC10IMG.ZIP put it on the root
of your sd card ,insert the sd card in you phone again, press the volume down button and turn you phone on, while still holding the volume down button ,this will
put your phone into bootloader ,from there your phone should detect the file and will start flashing it automatically ,(it could take a while to finish)
good luck ,let us know how it went.
Edit: forgot to tell you this, you need to rename the file to PC10IMG.zip .

Alrighty then, Raizakins is my gf's username, but I had gotten it done. Everything works perfectly I really appreciate the help, I don't know what I would have done I think I spent hours googling stuff but none of it worked I install adb and everything but it didn't work so this did and I am thankful. I only had the phone for a day too lol
I'm kind of glad it doesn't have root yet for 2.3. I don't think I will be doing that again I got scared enough haha. But again, thank you

Glad you fixed your issue. But did you miss the stickied thread in the General subforum warning against using Visionary, or just choose to ignore it? Not trying to be snippy or anything. Just trying to understand the thought process, as there still seem to be plenty of people choosing Visionary. Despite warnings otherwise which have been going around as far back as maybe December or January.

Well, I got my G2 Tuesday and I didn't know what I was really doing, my buddy at work told me to use Visionary so I had no clue that it was buggy like that he didn't warn me. That's about it lol.... But as of now, I have no further plans on attempting to root again. And yeah, I saw the stickie and read it while all this was going on and was like "Aw crap".
Edit: I think somehow the temproot and permaroot collided and screwed me over haha!

Help help pleaseee tonight with g2

OK SO I READDDD AND DONE EVERYTHING HOW IT SAYS... IM HAVING A PROBLEM USING THE ADB ... EVERYTIME I PUT MY PHONE AND PUT ADB DEVICES ON THE CMD IT DOESNT READ THE PHONE CUZ IS NOT GIVING LIKE A NUMBER THAT EVERYBODY GETS.. IM TRYING TO USE THE ADB TO PUT BACK THE ENG H BOOT AND TRYING TO UNROOT MY PHONE TO SEND IT BACK TO T-MOBILE I ALSO CANNOT ERASE SUPER USER... CAN ANYBODY BE SO KIND TO GET SOME POINTERS I HAVE TRY TO UNISTALL THE SDK AND TRY TO DO IT AGAIN ACOUPLE TIMES AND NOTHING SO PLEASE ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED THANX IN ADVANCE... I HAVE TILL TOMORROW TO SEND IT ....

Have you followed the steps correctly to every single word and not felt like a 1337 hax0r and decided to mess with other stuff?

My first G2 died back in April due to a flex cable failure. Don't worry about unrooting the phone, as long as you have a stock rom it shouldn't matter. I didn't bother to replace my eng hboot and they took the phone no problem. Your giving T-Mobile too much credit LOL

Yea I put the debug on and I follow every step I couldn't return it back to unroot so I just send it like tat I with the stock rom and super user I couldn't get rid of it.. I'm thinking of rooting this **** cuz I like the sense look in it. Unless I can puut it with out unrooting.???

If you want sense your going to have to root it. Not sure what exactly you want, but if you check the dev thread, you can find a whole bunch of sense roms and you should find something you like

Hi everyone, I just purchased a one x and unlocked the bootloader via dev
now, i've installed a rom, called insert coin v 11.0.0 and the phone doesn't boot
it just keeps on rebooting and I really dont know what to do, i've looked everywhere but i dont seem to find any clues to my problem! would really apreciate any help.

You have to flash boot.img from that ROM .

Try to flash a version of InsertCoin LOWER than 10.
The one ur trying to flash is a JellyBean rom and there is a specific process u have to follow in order to work.
For now i suggest u stick with ICS roms

I have managed to install another Rom, following a different process which was very similar to the one I initially used, except for the flashing firmware part, which I missed at first. Now I'm on android revolution hd 12
And must say very happy with it
Now I just new to learn how to flash mods, which I'm still looking into it

Just Remember to Keep a Backup
Good to hear that ur phone is back to normal now ..just remember to always have a recovery image(Using CWM) and backup ur data ..99% Nothing can go wrong if u dont screw up bad.Its Extremely Difficult to Brick a HOX!

So, I tried flasing a ROM and it didn’t work I booted the boot.img and everything and it didn’t work I would try to boot my device and it would have the screen like it was going to get into recovery mode and then it would shut down and do that all over again. And after awhile of reflashing the ROM my SD Card wouldn’t mount and i connected it to my computer and it made me format at it so I lost everything please tell me how to factory reset so that I can get back I can’t use my phone at all now. SOmeone please help me I'm pretty desperate at this point all I want is my phone to work I'll think about rooting it again later but first I need it to function.So please help me if you know what I can do.I'm oviously new.

Hi all oyu guys and SpyroDazee, I present myself with humbleness and urge because I hardbricked my wife´s Verizon S3 and she is now really upset to me :S ..... said that I would like to be helped if i may to restore this device, I can get in touch by facebook chat, whatsapp or other...i have an HTC M9 and i am a regular helper on this M9 issues in the propper section. Here is what i Did, i was trying to flash another crom and did exactly as i am listing:
1.-Applied towelroot to roort on 4.4.2
2.-Applied EZ-Unlock app and supposdely unlocked.
3.-instellaed twrp from gplay and installed version 2.8.7.0 from Android on work (not booted in any mode, installed from android).
4.-Since not worked that way I tried to push with adb shell flashing IT, SO REBOOT AND PHONE HARDBRICKED NOT TURNING ON.
5.- Using this tutorial i flashed a 16 gb micro SD booted phone (from SD succesfullt) and tried to restore bootloader, when i adbe shell commands (not working from terminal emulator) and I rebooted, phone hardbricked even worse, NOW not BOOTING FROM sd ANYMORE...im stuck at this point at this very moment.....
So if you colud helpme, i can take picture to phone, and place chat with facebook or whats app, im so desesperated my wife is going to fry my M9 if i dont fix her S3.

Help With Rooting SM-G925R7

Hey So iv had some issues rooting this phone. Im new to the whole rooting thing and would like to learn more. This is my old phone and I want to root it. Iv spent around two days trying to get this to work. So the current problem is I think the boot loader on it is locked and Iv been trying to unlock it. For some reason when I do adb reboot fastboot then the phone just restarts. Any one have any ideas about this? I have been trying to follow this guild <https://highonandroid.com/android-root-101/how-to-unlock-bootloader-on-any-android-android-root-101-1> any help would be appreciated as I said im new to this.
Modle Number SM-G925R7
Carrier- Cspire ( i heared that c spire and T-mobile are basically same thing. Ill delete post and move it if this is wrong)

Edit: Found out that this phone might not have fastboot on it. Any way of knowing?
More Info:
when I try to run Odin it restarts 2x and the root is unsuccessful.
