I rooted my Fire Stick and put rbox's rom on it back when they first came available. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to completely remove all the Amazon stuff? I just want it for Kodi really. I have no interest in any of the Amazon stuff.
Thanks

I just ordered an Amazon Fire TV with the intention to install XMBC along with add ons. What is the quickest and easiest way to get XBMC on to my AFTV? Do you recommend to root it or not? Is there a link that will show you how to do all this and install add ons?
You can sideload XMBC without root. If you can root and wish too, everything you will every need up until today is here: http://www.aftvnews.com/
I updated my Fire TV to the latest rbox prerooted ROM after being on an older version & now none of my menus will load & amazon content is unavailable. Everything else works. Any ideas?
Never Mind...didn't do anything wrong. Just found out that while I was updating, Amazon cloud services crashed...hard.
Someone know how to install Google tv rom on amazon fire tv.
Still nothing available but stock ROM for this box.
The title says it all, just got the fire tv and looked to see if there is any way to root it, thanks
I have a rooted FTVS2, what is the best way to turn it into a Kodi box? I have no need for any amazon features, just want to run a pure Kodi box.
It appears Open/Core Elec does not support it.
Can it be loaded with a lightweight Ubuntu and then kodi on top?
Or should I just de-bloat the fireOS (I found the guide) and run it like that?
TIA
