I updated my Fire TV to the latest rbox prerooted ROM after being on an older version & now none of my menus will load & amazon content is unavailable. Everything else works. Any ideas?
Never Mind...didn't do anything wrong. Just found out that while I was updating, Amazon cloud services crashed...hard.

Hi,
I've two different Amazon Tv (I've bought them in US, I live in Europe):
- The first one has firmware 51.1.0.2 (rootable)
- The second one has firmware 51.1.6.3 (not rootable and updated to the latest firmware, right?)
I would like to use Netflix on it.
Since I cannot use the official Netflix Amazon App, I tried with the app from the Playstore.
I downloaded it from here - http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/netflix-inc/netflix-for-android-tv/
Trying to sideload the apk to the Amazon TV with 51.1.0.2 (old firmware) I got an error. It does make sense since the app is going to work if you have Lollipop and on it I have Ice Cream Sandwich. So I gave up.
On the other updated Amazon TV with 51.1.6.3, since it has Lollipop, I was able to sideload the Netflix app.
I found it in the installed app on the Amazon TV, but when I launch it it goes immediately back to the app menu.
It seems that something is not working properly.
I've tried with both latest Netflix build (2.4.1) and the previous one (2.4.0). Same result.
Do you have any hint please?
Thanks for your help.
Someone know how to install Google tv rom on amazon fire tv.

Can someone tell me how to successfully install Google play on the Amazon fire TV 2, I am well aware that this guy requires root and my fire TV is rooted I would like to install Google play so that I can sign into my Google account as well as download paid apps I have purchased on Google play
Btw my Fire OS version is 5.2.7.1 Pre-Rooted Sloane
Just picked up FTV Cube yesterday. After many reboots and factory resets, I cant get past 6.2.6.8. I know the latest is 7.x. It tries but hangs at downloading system components. At one time I had 2 of every icon in settings. But a FR cleared that up. I try the update without customizing the cube or installing any apps. Only entered my Amazon acct info. I know back in the day you could ADB in and send over the update file but can we still do that and where are the latest update.bin for 7.x? Thanks
Had same problem with Fire Stick 4K, called Customer Support, and they told me to make my smartpfone a hotspot, connect my stick to it and retry. It didn't work for me, (still in 6.2.6.8) but it might work for U. I have read here and in other forums that it is common that same Fire devices would not get the same update, at least not at the same time. When you will get the 7.2.1.2 version, which is based on Android 9, NetFlix will get Atmos support. Hope Amazon will release 7.2.1.2 for Fire TV Stick 4K too...
Recently I tried install the Leanback on Fire Launcher on my Fire TV stick 4K. It was working just fine for a few days but now whenever I boot it up it instantly crashes. Does anyone know how how I could fix this or what might be wrong with the app?
My Fire TV Stick is Unlocked and Rooted with Magisk
The Firmware version is Fire OS 6.2.8.1-r3 pre-rooted with Accessibility and OTA-updates Patched.

Update: I'm an idiot, I had a faulty version of GMS (from a failed manual gapps install) installed that was causing it to crash. I removed it and now it's no longer crashing.
