Hi,
I have some questions regarding LineageOS and my device:
- The calendar app is very rudimentary. The EMUI one was very nice. How can I get the EMUI calendar back? I found the app as download, but it says "corrupted" on installation. Do I need to install some certificate first?
- Once I selected a custom ringtone mp3, it always is truncated after 2 seconds.... Kind of annoying. Is that a bug or a "feature", which can be disabled?
- Were do I get those live backdrops, which are listed then by the background selector? I installed now various "live background" packages from store, but none will be listed under live backdrop list.
- How can I remove the middle symbol of the bottom shortcut row? I would like to have it on the normal desktop instead
Thank you for help!

If it's the EMUI Calendar app your looking for, then check out the following thread. Someone had provided the EMUI Calendar app for a member who had accidentally uninstalled it.
Accidentally uninstalled emui calendar by ChrisChros
Good Luck!

Hi,
I have updated my unrooted stock ROM to the new 2.2 stock Froyo this weekend (by using the normal system refresh).
I have done a factory reset after upgrading the operating system.
Everything works but the "People widget". If I click someone it asks for the default action. For example I select "call mobile". After the call the small mobile icon appears for the contact (indicating the default action), but if I select another contact and add a default action again, the default action for the first contact disappears... It asks again for default action when I click on the contact.
I have:
-Removed and re-added the people widget from the desktop
-Removed and re added the group (the people widget use)
-Created a new group and added people manually by using the "+" sign of people widget
...none of the above worked.
Please help me what to do.
Thank you for your help in advance,
Andrew
Do you have any idea why people widget acts like this?
Anyone? Any Idea? Suggestions?
Resolution
I was having the same issue, but I believe I was able to resolve it. When I logged into Gmail from my desktop pc, I noticed a contacts group called "Starred in Android". I added everyone who's listed in my widget to this group, and that seemed to do the trick. At that point I simply had to set the default action for each contact once, and now my phone remembers it
(BTW, I'm not sure this is Froyo-specific, as I seem to recall the same problem before I upgraded).

HTC Evo, Froyo build 3.26.651.6
The suggested "Starred in Android" fixed my problem.
Thank You for the Solution. It definitely was an annoying problem.
Hey Guys and Gals of XDA,
Kinda wondering if anyone has come across an app that will change how android handles when we get a new gmail email.
Currently when you get a new email you get a notification in the drawer.. Im looking for an app to change that. I dont want any notification in the drawer. I just want an unread email number to show up on the icon on the home screen. SMS message app does this when you get a new message.
If anyone has any known apps or wants to develop one id be full game..
Thanks
That is not possible for the time being. It used to be, but then GMail removed the API that allowed this (for security reasons)

We will have to wait until GMail offers this through some other type of functionality.

Use the plug in for Go Launcher (Go Notifications), of course, implies that you have to use Go Launcher, but it's a very good launcher.

The same problem I mention affects Go Launcher too (as well as any other apps that used to provide unread count)

-------Important--------
The Gmail app has updated to new version and the API we uses to access your Gmail in our Notification app is being removed in Gmail.
We will continue support Gmail notification if your Gmail app doesn’t update to the newest version. But once your Gmail is updated, the notification option will be removed from GO Launcher.

So, this is a gmail thing, don't upgrade to the latest version or downgrade to the previous version. I haven't upgraded to the latest version, my notifications show up.
Hi,
I have installed me another calendar app (aCalendar). When i get notifications in the topbar my phone uses the build in calendar. How can i avoid this and use aCalender?
Thanks
Ateshga
You mean you're getting both default calendar and aCalendar notifications at the same time?
Go into the default Calendar app and select the account it's synced too and uncheck the sync box. Then it'll stop notifying you because it won't be synced to new events.
You need to clear defaults for the gmail app. then you can select which app to do the action you want next time you click it.

Doesnt work here.
Is my calender app perhaps the problem? It uses the build in calendar so it might not handle the notifications...
Am i correct? Dont i have to use another app? Which one do you use?
Thanks in advance
@martonikaj no i just get the googlecalendar notification. Sorry overread your question in first place...
Bye
Hi
It doesnt work till today. I tried several calendars now (jorte, quick and lately business calendar) The problem remains The Same: when i pull down Thema notification bar where The event notification pops up and select the event The phone jumps in the Google calendar.
Is this an ICS problem?
What am i doing wrong?
Please help.
Thx
Ateshga
Whichever app is providing the notification will open when you click. You need to set up notification with your desired app and disable notification in the unwanted app - of course, having said that, I'm not sure those options are available, so it may just be easier to freeze the undesired app instead...
Hi i now found my failure: i got what i paid for. Free apps mostly dont support notifications.
I now bought an app (business calendar) and all is fine now.
Seems i have to learn a bit more about the android world.
Thx for the help i got ...
A.
I started using Business Calendar. I removed notifications for the default calendar, but I forgot to remove sync. The notification bar would never clear, now I think I know why. Thanks martonikaj.

I have exactly the same problem
I am wondering the same thing. I'm on a s8 and my secure Outlook app disappeared from the home screen after an update yesterday
--
I experienced 2 updates within the past 2 days. After the first update, I still had the secure Outlook app shortcut on the home screen with the badge notification (i.e. unread email count). After the second update, the secure Outlook app shortcut disappeared.

Same here. Really annoying without direct shortcuts into secure folder.
Why did they remove this? It's such a hassle to go to the folder.
Same problem here with s9+ guys... Very disappointed with this!
Island
I don't know how Island by oasisfeng does it but it makes shortcuts of the apps installed in the app drawer outside the android for work folder.
I have a similar problem with the weather of Google Assistant
Sent from my [device_name] using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Workaround found.
I figured a workaround. I simply uninstalled the app and re-installed it. The icon for secure app appeared next to the un-secure version.
Hi everybody,
updated my P3XL to 10 (rooted with Magisk prepatched bl).
On Pie all my Notifications were displayed on my Watch but on 10 only some are shown.
Smartwatches for testing: Samsung Gear S3 and Garmin Fenix 6
Access to notifcations is allowed for the helper apps...
Apps that don't show up on the Watch:
Telegram, Threema, AquaMail
Notifcations sent by SMS or Pushbullet work...
Can anybody confirm this behaviour?
help is highly appreciated...

system ui, toggle low priority notifications, you can try the toggle in developer settings too. Check your settings, to show all.

sorry but where do I edit these settings?
Toggeled Adaptive notification priority in Dev options.... changed nothing...

If they are "silent notifications" they will not show on watch.
Make sure those aren't silent notifications.
Thanks for your help.
Notifications were not set to silent...
Solved it with a factory reset and reinstall of the companion app. I hope this error will no more occur...
