My dad found an AT&T/cricket note 7 edge a block away from police busting someone. I'm guessing he won't need it anymore. It needed a pass code to get in so I wiped it but it still needs the number associated with the phone to set it up. I'm not a newb to flashing and rooting and such so I'm wondering what's the best way around this, maybe new firmware? If so I'd appreciate any help with being steered in the right direction. Thanks ?

You'll need CDMA WS or dfs. I don't know much more than that. And I'll link to the lg2 modern as soon as I find it

Although it can be considered a grey area, it's NOT illegal unless you're doing it for an illegal purpose (ie;cloning someone else's phone).

Thanks. My only concern was no one would see it there.
I am not worried about selling my phone. I've been watching Swappa and they're selling fast enough. I just would prefer it got into the hands of a developer.
I didn't want to 'use' XDA. I honestly just wanted to see a real enthusiast get an opportunity.

Sorry. I just meant that I'll have no problem selling my phone. I'm not trying to 'use' XDA as a marketplace. I can sell my phone on swappa no problem.
But I wanted to get the info out here so someone that could really use it was able to get it.

I think what thepolishguy is trying to say is that he would like to sell this to a developer who may be able to use it in order to help us all gain access to an unlocked bootloader or S-OFF. That would be the best case scenario anyway. Best of luck!

honestly for S-OFF testing from two HTC phones I was a tester for.. (HTC Rezound (included use of a paperclip..., and the HTC Inc4gLTE)
your MUST be willing to brick your phone and it's your fault. not theirs..
best bet is if we get a team interested, we get a community phone bought using bounty thread and they have a phone to work off of.

This is still a good offer to any dev eager to build in which they either didn't get a chance to unlock or bricked theirs during testing. Of course not a large user base at this point but once a dev always a dev and they will get the itch!

If you own it for you and want to do something, i recommend to hack it and find the rom that fits your need, but they are almost the same...

If you really need to ask why then you probably shouldn't be rooting, rommimg or selling your phone. Nobody wants to buy problems and I'm pretty sure you don't want to be technical support for the buyer.

My question was after getting a new phone and wanting to sell my previous one, what condition is the most profitable to sell it in. Rooting, modding and tweaking is not an issue for me. I know how to restore my stock backup and unroot it or Odin back to stock. It is a phone that hasn't taken an update where it would be unable to flash a rom. So that was my simple question. Thanks for trying to be helpful and not rude though.

The best way to sell any product that you did not create is to sell it how it came out of the marker, if u say that you hacked it, it will lose value. In other words... put it back to stock and act like it has never been rooted

You should give more information. I doubt anybody wants to test anything on their new $700 Note 4 without knowing what you are working on and who developed it. Not to sound rude but you must give people more information as well as remember to type in you Hangouts username/email. I hope you have something nice in the works. thanks for the heads up on upcoming rom.

Did you also get the developers permission? I am not on hangouts but you can send me a pm. I'll have 2 note 4's till the end of the week when i have to return 1, so i don't mind throwing something on it.
