I installed OmniRom but i have encryption unsuccesfull. Help Please
Seems like issue is with storage. From what i know omni works only with unified lvm partition. To do this i flash coloros and unify partition there. Then install custom recovery and after that flash omni.

I am also facing same problem after flashing Omni ROM 'nougat' on my find 7s but no problem with marshmallo
Try this. Flash coloros recovery and flash coloros. Boot into coloros and then unify partition in coloros. Then flash latest twrp. Boot into recovery (twrp now) and flash omni rom. I have omni rom nougat (7.1.2) working on my find7a flawlessly since quite some time.

If you have Chinese unified storage, you need to flash Tha latest patch zip after flashing Omni.
I appear to have this problem too, every time I flash Omnirom. I was able to install LineageOS without any issues, but they don't support LVM.
I've tried a few sequences, but my latest is:
Installed ColorOS 2.1.5i
Setup Unified Storage
Root with Kingo Root
Unlock bootloader
Install TWRP
Factory Reset
Flash Omnirom 7
Flash GAPPS
Then stuck on encryption unsuccessful every time.
U just flash spectrum rom and remove lvm

How did u set up unified storage? Did u use the option in coloros? Omni only supports lvm and works for me without issues.

LVM
Yeah, can someone tell me how to run unified storage in color os?
Flash this zip, you will fully wipe your phones storage after that you have to reboot the recovery and install omnirom and Gapps

The wipe is not necessary?

Follow my steps:
1. first install LVM zip
2. Install omnirom and Gapps
3. Place everything on your SD card, without SD card it won't work
4. Go into TWRP
5. Wipe everything but the external SD card
6. Flash LVM zip
7. Reboot recovery
8. Install omnirom and Gapps (first omnirom)
9. Reboot

I have rooted my redmi 1s an year ago, and flashed cyanogenmod(13,14) later, lineage14 on it. It uses custom recovery TWRP(3.1.1). Also, I have flashed latest lineage 15 on it ( Increased system partition to 2gb ).
Few days ago, I moved to Stock miui by flashing latest MIUI 8.2 on it. Then, I tried fastboot mode and flashed MIUI9 chinese. Again, flashed MIUI 8.0.1 on it and rooted. Root got succeeded and checked OK. Then, I tried to Flash twrp using twrp manager, twrp official app. Both succeeded, but, cannot boot to recovery. It got stuck in team win logo.
What may be wrong with me?
Please help to flash custom ROM on it again.
Philz recovery and clockworkmod installed through fastboot and works. But, I have less experience on these. I need to install TWRP. Please provide steps and links for installation. Currently on miui 8.0.1.0
I have solved the above mentioned issue. Finally, I have installed twrp recovery. Actually it was the issue with firmware I think. Installed, MIUI 8.2 and flashed twrp 3.1.1 on it and works well.
Now, the issue is to reset partition of internal storage. I have tried this using clockworkmod to remove any issues with file system. Now, internal storage is only 4GB, also I cannot wipe or access internal storage in twrp. How to reset back to 8GB.

So I have 2 questions:
1- how to root MIUI? Magisk work fine? Just flash it through TWRP? I used Magisk in a Nexus 6P with stock rom, don't know if it's the same with MIUI.
2- I see that there's some AOSP roms, flashing those roms is just copy the rom and gapps to the internal memory and flash Through TWRP normally?
Thanks.
1. Yes
2. Yep. Of course you will have to wipe in advance. Firmware flashing is also recommended. All info is in the XDA thread's of the roms..
So flash the lastest firmware then the rom right?

Yep, update to the latest miui first, then you're good to go.
The best thing before installing a custom rom is to format your data completely and then reboot into recovery mode
So, using the lastest MIUI, formated data on TWRP and flashing the lastest Lineage with Open Gapps, this happend: ROM flashed, Splash screen then the phone rebooted and go right to TWRP. Tried RR Rom from Andy personal build but the gapps are giving me force closed on Google Service.
Any ideas?
Hey. I have a rooted with TWRP installed OnePlus 5T on OOS v5.1.1
I've been receiving the 5.1.3 upgrade for a while now and have decided to update. Can i dirty flash the package or do i need to wipe system and data? I'm guessing the root will not be retained and i will have to root again but will the TWRP recovery stay intact? Thanks for your answers
I guess you would be able dirty flash.
You have to flash the twrp and magisk root again. If you are going to flash latest Open Beta 11, you have to flash Beta 10 before to retain data.

I have switched from 5.1.3 to beta11 like;
1- download the rom you want to install from oneplus site.
2- also download the stock recovery image from oneplus site.
3- put both files into the phone.
4- flash the stock recovery you downloaded.
5- boot into stock recovery and install the downloaded rom without wiping or formating anything.
6- enjoy your new rom with all your apps and data.
After the above steps you can install custom recovery and magisk again.
I also highly recommend to take a full backup of your phone .

Why was stock recovery flashed? Can the Rom not be installed using TWRP?

Well, i always got an error with twrp. No OS installed or something like that. Tried also a dirty flash with twrp and phone was not able to boot. So i found the way with stock recovery.

Rom can be flashed with Blu Spark treble TWRP V8.78not normal TWRP. And after you flash reboot to recovery then flash magisk 15.3 and no verity V2 or version 3 if your not encrypted either work, I used V2 just fine.
If you try to flash magisk right after rom it will probably give you an error. Reboot only to recovery BEFORE letting the rom boot or you loose recovery, then magisk will flash, 15.3 is the least grievous version after a successful boot upgrading to 16.4 is easy.
16.6 has been giving people grief also.
How to install custom ROMs in Mi A2 Lite? When I try to install any zip in TWRP, it gets "Error applying update: 7 (ErrorCode::kInstallDeviceOpenError)", and if I install a GSI ROM by flashing system.img, it bootloops. Is there a tutorial of how to install TWRP and flash custom ROMs?
I suggest you to install Crdroid for our phone. It´s official and gets weekly ots´s.
Follow instructions on op and you are good to go!
Important: You need to use offrains twrp to get it installed:
Bootable: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=1395089523397933315
Installer: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=1395089523397933316
If you stuck in bootloop on Crdroid bootscreen, you might need to decrypt your phone by formatting data (all your data will be lost - incl. internal sdcard) and installing this
I'm flashing TWRP version from official TWRP website for poco F3. Successfully flash temporary and make it permanent using flash this TWRP version.
Boot up to stock miui (im not flashing custom rom yet), work fine. I want to flash magisk, but TWRP wong detect storage or the magisk zip. Anyone can help?
Official TWRP doesn't support Android 12's Encryption yet, that's why /data partition appears empty.
You need to use unofficial TWRP "skkk": https://dl.akr-developers.com/?dir=skkk/TWRP/A12
