I'm having the A5 for 3 months non root, latest firmware.
But today i saw that emoji button has suddenly dissappeared.
I cleared cache yesterday via recovery, has it something to do with that?
Does somebody knows a solution or has the same problem?
I really want to keep the stock Samsung keyboard.
Thanks for the help in advance,
EO0126.
Try checking your keyboard settings? Maybe something was switched off or there was an update.
Update: i have fixed it!, i used reset settings and poof; the button was back!

I have rooted my G2 and have S-OFF so I decided to remove the excess apps that shipped with it and I believe i have borked the Quick Keys process somehow. I tried to look into the G2 dump to see if there was an .apk I was missing but I can't see anything that I don't already have.
Basically, everytime I click on the quick keys setting it gives me a FC for process com.tmobile.userkeystool
anyone know what i need to put back in to get this working again? i really don't want to wipe and reflash
Same Problem
I am also having the same problem on my phone, I am thinking it has to do with removing the t-mobile apps like my account. At the end of the day I am not sure.
I'm having the same problem. Did you find a fix? I perm rooted with visionary and removed the my tmobile app. I thought a factory reset would putt back all the apps but it doesn't reinstall all the apps I removed after root. I'm still on stock rom never flashed anything else.
im having the same issues with the quick keys. can anyone else help fix this problem please???? thanks
After the JB update, whenever I reboot the phone, the keyboard keeps on return to Swype, even after I have the default keyboard set to others. Does anyone else has this problem? Any possible solution? I heard that it will be fixed on 4.1.2 but its probably won't be release until next year

Yes I changed the default keyboard and every time I restart the phone it goes back to samsung keyboard. (sorry said swype before but it was actually samsung keyboard)
I am currently using another keyboard that support other language and set it to default but everytime I reboot the phone, it switch back to samsung keyboard.
I have this exact same problem, except I am trying to use Swiftkey 3. Every time I reboot the phone it returns to the stock keyboard and I have to go back in the menus and select Swiftkey as the default.

When you go to Language and Input, the default shown is the one we selected, but the keyboard is NOT the default one.
This is the link I was talking about. It could be a bug in 4.1.1 that will be fix in 4.1.2
Nvm
could be a bug in it not being installed properly, or just needing a factory reset. I've read that the factory reset fixes it, and more so that it doesn't happen to those who wiped data and such before installing a custom rom.

I did factory reset before installing this firmware.
I download the entire firmware (Stock T-mobile JB) from sammobile and install it using Odin
not happen to me. I tried to reset the phone and swiftkey is still intact.
It tends to have bugs after update in android. I suggest updating via OTA since this way does't give me any bugs. When I did update via Odin, I got bugs. Also, you should do factory reset AFTER updating, not before updating. so yeah try to do a factory reset.
Don't know what to tell you guys I tried swiftkey smart keyboard and 4.2 all stick after a reboot.

Sorry i forgot to say, I did a reset through recovery before and after updating.
Does the same thing on my phone as well, coming from a fresh Odin flash and factory reset. It is a known issue with jelly bean. I just froze the Samsung keyboard with TB as a workaround

Hello, guys. There is a "simple" fix: just to make Swype the only one keyboard. So you make root and uninstall Samsung and any other keyboards with Titanium backup))

You don't need to uninstall just freeze them.

using a non-rooted factory default Galaxy Note 2.
I booted it today, then the msg appeared.
i've tried uninstalling the app that i have recently installed thinking that there is conflict.
but still not helping.
anyway to solve this error?
Try clearing data and cache..It should fix

hope what @mannyvinny said helps, I've had this problem once and tried everything (my device was rooted, and restores with TB didn't solve it)
the final solution was a factory reset, then restoring apps from titanium one by one (except for S-note) and then it worked
also, I removed all my notes from the Snotes folder on the sdcard, started snote once, then put the files back in and started it again
(it's 5am here, so if I don't make any sense, I blame life)
As @tmils said he is using factory non-rooted stock, clearing data and cache from app manager is the only way..but if It was rooted, then it would've been fixed using few clicks(using titanium backup)
Titanium Backup is boon for rooted users!

I had the same issue, reloaded firmware, clear data and cache with no fix. I thought about to do a factory reset, but just b4 I was going to do it. I suddenly have an idea just flashed in my mind. This is what I did.... go to setting > my device > S pen > put a check mark on the "Open Popup Note when the pen is detached". Then back to the home screen, pull out the S pen and a mini S note will open. Close it and now you should be able to open the regular S Note. It works on my Note 2. Good luck guys.
It helps but not for long. After a little while problem coming back. For me problem started right after I upgraded to 4.3.
I don't feel like removing everything and cleaning cache as I have notes I don't want to delete. Is samsung planning to release fix for this I'm wondering.
fixed

I am using galaxy note 2 and it was working absolutely perfect on 4.1.2. After i updated it on 4.3, i am facing a problem with the keyboard. Previously after sending a text (whether on whatsapp, viber, messaging or any other app), if i ended on the numeric/symbols page of the keyboard, it used to automatically come back to the default alphabet page.
But now the keyboard stays on the numeric/symbol page and doesn't come back to the default alphabet layout. It annoys me a lot, Kindly help me with that.
Is that any way to eradicate this problem? Need help!

Based on what you said in your post, I think it is a cache related issue, therefore I'd wipe the cache partition(the keyboard layout and configuration is stored in cache which can be deleted should it give any error).
However, it can be an automatic ROM configuration that it remembers the symbol layout instead of starting with the abc one. But this is less likely. I'm on 4.1.2 and though I have used 4.3 for a couple of hours I didn't notice this behaviour.

thanks for your kind reply.
same thing happened to me when i updated my galaxy s2 to 4.1.2 jelly bean. but when i bought the s3 phone that by default come with 4.1.2, the problem wasn't there. i am using the original firmware 4.3 but still i think updating a phone to any firmware is different than having it on the phone by default.
tell me if i wipe the cache partition, wud it affect the data stored in my phone? or just format the cache partition?

sorry for late reply, i didn't check my email lately. wiping cache won't delete any of your personal files.

Good morning guys,
in the last month i've a problem with s note.
My phone is sm-n7505 italian and it's rooted with stock rom 5.1.1 official and xposed framework.
All works ok but in the last month i've issue with s note,
when i try to create a new rapid memo and try to minimize icon, it disappears and i'm not able to modify my note or save it.
If i restart phone on first launch app works when i open or create new memo but if i try again to minimize icon disappear.
I've tried to clean cache and data from all s app (memo, s note etc.) and doesn't solve it. So i tried also to clean phone dalvik and cache but problem is still here.
Can someone helping me?
i would like to avoid to reset phone because i've no time at the moment
Hi,
I'm sorry for asking you this, but since you succeed to install the proper xposed framework on your neo3 5.1.1, I wish I can do the same but I can't find the right version.
I had a version that's tells me my cpu was not compatible and there's not a version yet for this phone.
Than I got another one but still... can't install it coz buttons are grey.
2 days on the matter and still stuck until I find your post.
Can you guide me to the right door PLS
Thx a lot
