Hi all,
I have tried to update from 29032017 to 24052017 without any success. The update would simply get stuck on the Lineage OS boot animation. After about 45 minutes, I rebooted and tried again. Same Issue.
I was forced to roll back my update to 29032017. This was fine, it managed to get past the Lineage OS but introduced a tonne of issues.
> Cannot download apps from play store
> Cannot fully extend the navigation bar
> Cannot enter Developer Options (My user doesn't have permission?)
> Cannot enter Settings > Users (No error, just does nothing).
> No notifications
It's almost like there's a profile/permission issue.
Is anyone able to advise how I can go about getting this in a working order? Unfortunately wiping the phone completely is out of the question right now. I am just after a quick fix to leave it on the 29032017 build until I get a new phone to replace this one.
Any help is appreciated!

So in my infinite drunken wisdom I decided to root my Galaxy last night...
(First time I root a cellphone, I have rooted Kindles before)
I found a video online, followed directions and it was a breeze..
Until I decided it was not "custom" enough and I install CyanogedMod
Google was missing so I downloaded, boot phone and install from boot
Some APS installed, some did not...
When I reboot my phone there is a flashing window, I can't really tell what it says because it goes away before I can read it
---
I know I messed up something...
There is no keyboard now...
Unfortunately, Android keyboard (AOSP) has stopped
Appears when I try to use keyboard
How can I make it work?
Please help
go into recovery mode clear data/cache/dalvic. now reflash your rom with the gapps package clear cache/dalvik reboot
Yeah...
Is not working
Phone starts with "updating apps" # of 83
After the updating is done, cyro starts again... and I get the "Keyboard" is not working message
OK, i already did the whole process a couple of times...
I keep getting the same error, the keyboard
I think the problem is with cyanogen, i don't know how to uninstall/replace it
OK, i got it working
I had to install a different version of gapps
gapps-jb-20130301-signed
that version did it for me
thanks for your help, though
Attempting to update my N7 to apply the latest Android updates. It is rooted, but standard Android and was on 6.0.1 MMB29K and I've managed to get it to MMB29V by using Flash Fire and doing incremental downloads/updates, but it refuses to go any further. FF goes through all the motions of looking like it is doing something, but the device always ends up still on MMB29V.
Where am I going wrong?
Thanks for all your help with that one, much appreciated.
Now for my next trick. When I go into Settings, tap About Tablet and then System Update the settings app crashes. Also, I have never had my apps set to auto update in the Play Store, but that setting changed on its own and updated everything in the background without my knowing. I have not been into the Play Store settings in months (years?) and could not have accidentally toggled this back on, so how did that happen? This is an immense irritation, as I like to dictate when to update things!
Hello, I am happy owner of 1+3 (coming from Xperia U) and I am very happy with this phone, no bugs at all except for this. Normally it works perfect but after maybe a day of usage without restarting phone, recent apps (or open apps) tab not showing any open apps but its definitely graphic bug only because all apps that I open again are normally loaded from memory. After restarting phone it works, even all opened apps before restart are showed. Oxygen OS 3.2.2. See screenshot before and after restart.

Sorry for links, this is my first post...
I'm Also having this problem in 3.2.2. Already had it in 3.2.1.
Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
Here are your options
1. Factory reset
2. Root it and remove unwanted apps
3. Flash another ROM. My suggestion is flash this STOCK BASED ROM..Which is perfect.
Also just had this for the first time yesterday on 3.2.2. Recent apps reappeared after reboot.
Same problem for me
I had the same problem since last upgrade to Oxygen 3.2.2 and fixed with only doing a reboot to recovery (you can do it from power off menu if you mark the option advanced reboot in developer options or if you start the phone holding down power+volume down button at the same time) and then reboot to system normally again and voilá the recent apps button worked again for me.
Hope it helps.
Un saludo.
Get in touch with OP support team
Guys, I have talked with OnePlus 3 support. They wanted to schedule a remote support session with me, but that involves flashing a new firmware, and as I do not feel like tinkering with my new phone I had to decline.
Is anyone experiencing this issue wanting to do some flashing to help the community? Just open a ticket with OP3 explaining the problem. They'll get in touch in no time.
Anyone?
Same problem for me on Oxygen 3.2.4. Only reboot helps!
Clear google app data
This is supposedly a google voice activation bug.
To fix it (atleast temporarily) clear the Google App's data from application settings, then the Recents window starts showing the apps
Awesome! That worked for me. (OnePlus X)
Hey so I dug up my old Galaxy Nexus and wanted to get it ready for my dad to use. However after booting up when ever I try to do anything (press on an app or the menu) a notification pops up saying " Trebuche launcher has crashed". Rendering me unable to do anything as I can't get into the menu or settings either. I am not sure what to do. I think the phone has some version of Jelly bean on it from Cyenogen mod. It is a while back since I did anything with it.
So before I mess up and brick it I wanted to ask if anyone knows how to go forward with it.
In a crazy coincidence this is exactly the problem I ran into yesterday. I factory reset it in TWRP several times and it always eventually happened again. It may not be related, but it first happened immediately after updating the play store/services and agreeing to the play protect.
This last time I removed the SIM, reset, and reboot it. I immediately opened the play store (without opening the app drawer or trying to click on settings), turned off auto updating, and downloaded Nova Launcher. When you click home it asks which you'd prefer. I was then able to go to settings without any problems.
So far it's been about 45 minutes without crashing and restarting.
LineageOS (the successor of CyanogenMod) has an official build for toro that is currently maintained so after a complete backup I intend to flash it.
Hope this helped
I rooted my Pixel XL last year and everything was working fine until recently. The Pixel connected to my wifi but couldn't get internet access, even though it had an IP address. I was able to verify connectivity using ADB but I needed internet to work normally, so I decided to reset my phone. I used TWRP and did a wipe with the default settings. The phone booted back up like it was a brand new phone but now when I try to enter the Developer Settings menu, I get a notification saying "Settings has stopped. Open app again". I've tried wiping multiple times, clearing the cache for the settings but nothing works. Anybody have any tips on how I can fix this?
forgot to mention I'm using stock android 8.1, and magisk for root...
fwiw, I flashed a new ROM (lineage 17) and the problem went away.
