Dear all I have p2 running on nogat software when I received incoming call the phone start ringing become silent for a moment then continue any one have solution for this
I have noticed this too the phone rings at normal volume but when i pick it up to answer then the volume goes very quiet. In marshmallow their used to be a setting to change this but i cannot find it in Nougat.
OK I have found the setting to fix the ringing problem it is under feature settings.
Because you have enabled a feature
You can disable by going to setting option _ and go to feature option in setting _ on the last you will find a option as DECREASE SOUND VOLUME make sure you off it
Nice

I currently have Tasker set up to bump up the ringer volume of an incoming call from a specific contact.
It works fine if the volume is at 1 or higher but if the phone is on silent it sets the volume to 7 (I set it to display, so I can see the volume being maxed) but the phone doesn't ring.
I did digging and found that on some phones if the ringer is silent when the call is incoming it doesn't load the ring tone so if the volume is maxed after still it wouldn't ring.
I have also read other post with people who have the GNex who have a similar Tasker set up to the one I am looking to create. Which implies that the GNex is not one of the phone which remains silent if the phone was silent when the call came in.
Can any one confirm? Thanks.
I am rooted/stock. My tasker profile is very simple. State > incoming call from xxxxx contact. Task Ringer Volume to level 7.
I still don't know the answer to this question but in case someone else has a similar problem,
With Tasker I just modified by Profile a little
State> Incoming Call.
Task
If VOLR = 0
set VOLR level 7
Play Ringtone
Else
Set VOLR Level 7
Endif
Not sure if thats the best way to do it but it appears to be working.

My nexus rooted (and before I rooted it) with stock rom does it correctly with tasker.
If my phone is in silent and I get an incoming call from one of those I filtered it gets loud...
After the call the phone gets back to silent mode..
Problem: Instead of playing the selected ringtone when I get phone calls I hear the bonk sound hear when I adjust my volume? This remains even after reboot.
Solution: It was an application called CallBlocker. I had enabled a setting called Pre-Mute Ring which was causing the issue.
Call controll does work very well, however this feature does have a caveat indicating it might not work correctly on all phones. I think the purpose is to mute the ring until it can identify if the call is on the blacklist or not. After that, I think it's supposed to unmute so you can hear the ring.
I finally figured it out after numerous reboots and a kernel upgrade. The problem remained so I figured it had to be some piece of software that messed with the call settings.

Hi,
I have a strange problem and I really don't know how to solve it.
The problem is related to the sound when ringing.
If I set the "sound and vibrate" checkbox in Sounds, then the phone rings and vibrate a little and then stop the sound.
The screen still show the incoming call and the caller still hear that the phone is ringing.
The ring sound sometimes stop immediately after it's starting, sometimes ring 1, 2, 3 ... times.
BUT, if I unchecked the "sound and vibrate", the phone ring normally, as long as the caller keep the call open.
Does anyone met the same strange behavior?
The ROM is stock 4.1.1 XXALIJ, rooted with CF-auto-root.
At this moment I don't have any sound manager / profile manager installed.
I tried also to clear cache from recovery, but nothing.
What could be the cause?
What can I try to make it acting as it should?
Regards,
Stefan
I hope it is not affected by any motion settings, i.e you are covering the screen with your palm or turn it over?
If you are asking if I'm covering the phone with my hand, or if I'm turning it WHEN it's ringing, the answer is NO
But if you are asking if I have these options checked in settings, the answer is YES. I have them checked.

Hi people,
I just bought HTC ONE (M8) 6 days ago. I have big problem and HTC support dont know help me, only I must use warranty, but I cant be 30 days without phone.
My problem is that I increase volume to max with volume button and I will put phone on the table. Somebody will call me I pick up the phone and make call and after phone call my volume is down and if somebody will call me again my ringtone is down maybe on 10%. Again I increase volume up with volume button and same things happened to me... Sometimes I have ringtone to maximum 3 hours without change and sometime every 20 - 30 minutes phone will change down ringtone...
Please do you know somebody how I can fix this problem?
I tried factory settings but nothing happend...
Heeeeeelp me please
have you tried disabling 'quiet ring on pickup' in sound settings?
Yes I am tried turn off everything. But maybe I found what was wrong - I turn off motion gestures and all ringtones are 100% after all tests, incoming calls.
If somebody find some better solution I will very happy cause I wanna use motion gestures.
Thx
Hey guys. With the LG G3 I had the setting for muting notifications sounds on Android Wear but was able to hear the ringtone on the phone. Now I've switched to G4 and now I don't hear the ringtone. I've noticed on Android Wear that it says "turn phone notifications and ringtone off". Is it in the new update? Becouse at home I like to take the watch off and missing some calls because of that. Is there anyway to turn the notifications off but have the ringtone on?
Thanks.
